My family and I are loyal customers to this specific location. In the past year or so, there has been a decline in excellent customer service. Employees do not greet you through the window, give eye contact etc. Instead, it seems as though they are ready to shove you out the door as soon as their service to you is done. Pricing has skyrocketed. For ex: One day the price is $2.88 and the next it is double. Although we have faced inflation, I do not think my example reflect that since I have receipts documenting items purchased only a day apart. Employees also do not tell the price when paying just look at you for your payment. Another location nearby (Lynn) is a dollar cheaper and supplies great customer service. Maybe this is just me but feel as though it is not worth my time going there. On top of the service and pricing, their food and coffee do not keep up. Coffee is often dark and no flavor in comparison to when I ask for flavor and milk. Hash browns are not crispy and cooked rather cold. read more

I went through the drive thru today asked for an large iced Mocha madness. very little Mocha in it and the bottom of the cup was hot not cold at all.Trying to figure out how it was made.I'd say 85 % of the time the food &service are on target with no problems.But there are a few exceptions. I placed an order this morning through DoorDash. I ordered a medium hot chocolate and a small vanilla chai.. instead of getting the medium hot chocolate, I received a medium vanilla vanilla chai. Honeydew does not allow refunds, even though it's a mistake on their end. So buyer beware because if you're ordering through DoorDash or order will always be wrong with this honeydew, their workers could care less. Management needs to step in in either retrain their employees or hire new ones that actually want the job. read more

Terrible service. This afternoon the girl behind the counter dropped the paper she was using to put my bagels in a bag and picked up the last two with her bare hand. I asked her to give me two others and pointed out that she might not have realized that she had used her bare hand. She put those bagels back in the case for someone else to buy, then used paper to put two other bagels in my bag. "You know," she smirked. "Flies get all over the food anyway. It's terrible. I should tell the owner." What a juvenile attempt to gross me out. I paid for the bagels and said, "Yeah, that'll help with repeat business." If you're the owner reading this, watch your employees (especially the one who was minding the store today around 5:30pm) before you lose what little business you have. read more

Since Honey Dew took over the former Dunkin Donuts location on Conway in New Bedford, my morning quest for a good cup of brew has been different. I look forward to that hot cup of black coffee, and the HD coffee is good. Unfortunately, when ordered black, this is what I have received in the last four trips: Black with Sugar, Hot Chocolate (I think), Black (voila) and a donut stick (not ordered) and Ta Da!!!! Black. One time out of four. The wait times are extraordinary, even amidst Covid 19. The window clerks don't wear masks or gloves. They are nice, pleasant, congenial....but I just want a good cup of hot black coffee in a timely manner. read more

A Honey Dew Donuts near me!!! Yes!!! That, itself, is five stars. The staff is always welcoming, unlike a lot of chain coffee shops where they tend to be less caring. My coffee has always turned out great. This is HUGE, just because when I say I want it extra light with milk, it really means "please put half a cup of milk in." They know the deal people! They also have a drive through, which is convenient, because it's never a long wait. read more

First time I went in here I was handed a coffee cup that had particles of food under the lip cover because the employee wiped my kid with a damn nasty rag she had just previously wiped across the gross counter/prep area including under some equipment that sits on it at the drive thru. I watched her do this. I pointed it out only to get an argument in return and eventually a new coffee. The second time I went in they put the wrong.2 donuts in the bag so after returning to my car and seeing them I walked back in to get the correct ordered donuts. Ok, They gave me the correct ones... then the girl went to put them back in the case! No gloves, no tissue just replaced them...and she dropped one!!...what do you think she did? ?? Yup! You got it, SHE PUT IT BACK IN THE CASE !! Needless to say I threw my bag of donuts in the trash, emailed the owner , explained what took place, and he said he was going to review the camera footage for the time I was there. Never offered me anything.... no coupon, no apology, nothing. (Not that I would've used a coupon for them) it's the principle. So, for those who are unfamiliar with universal precautions and practices in the food industry, and for those who lack common sense in general... It is NOT sanitary to replace food for sale that a patron has handled. It is NOT acceptable to pick food up off the filthy floor and place it in the case for sale. THE 10 SECOND RULE DOES NOT APPLY ANYWHERE THAT ISNT YOUR OWN HOME, and even that should be frowned upon! This Honey Dew has no standards, the employees have no standards. Went in about a few weekends ago and ordered two breakfast sandwiches and two coffees. The first sandwich was cool at best but what really blew the top off this place was the huge piece of hair I found in my sandwich. Totally disgusting, never again will I go or recommend this dive. read more

Yesterday we ordered 2 coffees and a breakfast sandwich. The coffee, as usual, was great. The sandwich was another story all together. The Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a croissant came out cold, with a piece of unmelted COLD american cheese slapped on it. I would have returned it if I wasn't all ready on my way with no time to turn around. Fortunately, Starbucks coffee tastes burned, and Dunks is just played out. I'll be back for coffee, but food? I am a big fan of Honey Dew!!! The coffee is delicious especially the mocha madness and during the summer they make it in a frozen version that is to die for.. Yum! I also love the everything bagels so much better then dunks, they tend to be more flavorful.. I typically only go through drive thru and all of the people that have waited on me have all been smiling and nice.. If they are unhappy with their jobs they are not showing it which is a bonus. I call this honey dew the Malden Police hang out. On any giving day when you drive by I swear there's like 10 cops cars just sitting outside of this place, with them all in there drinking coffee. It's funny they are building the new police station right down the street now. Now they won't have to go to far lol. Ok, one quick complaint about the Lynn HD on Western Ave. Last time we went there all the donuts were stale. we did get them in the late afternoon, 3ish but I was disappointed. I did eat them thought because, well, they are HD! Listen closely Evil Empire.....uhhhh, I mean Dunkin Donuts, even a stale HD donut is better than a fresh DD donut, be warned, the revolution is coming ! And who the HECK gave DD the right to stop making cruellers ?!?!?!?! No a "glazed stick" IS NOT A CRUELLER !!!! A little piece of my childhood died that day :( And WHO'S BAD IDEA was it to do away with the donut that gave the freaking company it's name (OK, maybe it was the other way around but I'm not sure) THE Dunkin' Donut !?!?! Sure, it was just a plain cake donut with a little "handle nub' for dunking (does anyone even dunk anymore ?) but thats what the whole company started with. Sure, it may not be as popular as it once was but make it in limited quantities, Heck, it is the same batter as a plain cake donut but its cut using a different die !!! Anywho, if HD was a handsome, rich man, I would marry him. Heck, if HD was a homeless wino bum, I'd marry him...as long as his donuts and coffee were good :D I love HDs donuts...they is so yumm....but you know what ? There coffee is even better! And I don't even like coffee ! I started drinking iced coffee (sadly from the Evil Empire...but only because they were near my work) for a pick me up. Caffeine and cow juice .and a dozen or so Splendas. (4 really) Why so many Splendas ? Because DDs ice coffee is bitter, burnt crap that;s why. I need the sweetness to get it down. Then I hit up honeydew. I knew how good their donuts were from a brief tryst behind the Hess gas station on Dodge St in Beverly. No, I'm serious, there used to be a HD drive-thru on the back of the gas station. Well, one morning I stopped at HD for an iced coffee, I got a chocolate raspberry flavor shot for the heck of it. My order is usually "a lahge (I'm from Mass....thats how I speak, that word is pronounced LARGE grammatically speaking :) ice coffee extra light foh (FOUR) splendas. Well, it seems that when you make good tasting fresh coffee, 4 splendas is enough to give you diabetes even though it's not real sugar. It was super sweet but soooo gooood!!! I loved it. I went back and revised my order and got down to 2. The freakin coffee is that good. Jam in a flavor shot and I don't feel the need for any of their baked\fried delicious goodies. So, it's kind of a diet drink :) The people at the Malden location have always been nice to me. I can't say enough good things about them. Coffee tastes like it was brewed with dish water. The only appealing thing about Honey Dew is they have a wide selection of food items that Dunks doesn't have (such as a pistachio muffin). The coffee is awful so if you're looking for just a coffee I recommend Dunks or Starbucks read more

I drive by 4 dunkin donuts on my way to work in maplewood square and legit drive past my work an out of the way to go here. Why you ask? Cause the iced tea is the bomb? And their croissants are flaky, that's why. On top of that the staff is friendly, they understand how you want your food done and pay attention to detail. Other places should take notes! read more

I wish I could give a better review but time after time I do NOT get my coffee made correctly !!! I don't know what is so hard about taking an order of one large coffee made extra light with 3 sugars. It is barely light most times and sometimes I get equal instead of sugar !!! I only go to this place because it is close to home, but I am no longer spending another penny at this coffee shop. I know people who rave about the quality of Honey Dew over Dunkins, but I think they are just close variations on each other. Honey Dew is a nice change of flavor from Dunkins with regard to baked goods (they are not better, just different, perhaps taste better if you eat Dunkins all the time and are tired of it). Hot coffee is maybe slightly better, but iced coffee is always a gamble (never sure if they are just recycling old unsold hot coffee from the day before-- this used to be the standard for most places), I have gotten both good and weak cups here. 'Homecut' donuts are definitely better than Dunkins 'old fashioned' but Dunkins muffins tend to be larger. read more

I started going to various Honey Dew locations about 6 mo.'s ago. Donuts are excellent! For the past 2 weeks I went to Honey Dew's Eastern Ave. location in Malden. Cashiers's were very courteous, attentive, and friendly. After reading other 'older' reviews I think they must have made some changes.
