Good Lord were these cupcakes delicious! Cute little cupcakery with so many great options to choose from. Be sure to get there early so that they don't sell out of all the favorites. They do have a sign up at the counter to notify you of what has already been sold out. The employee was friendly and patient with us since it was our first time there. She even gave us a discount since we purchased so many cupcakes. Be sure to check this place out and do your tastebuds a favor!

I took the photo after I ate half of it - absolutely loved the cinnamon roll. Crispy perfection on the outer roll and gooey in the center. Not too sweet and the perfect cream cheese icing. Wish I had found it before our way out. Hope to return.

The donut holes were far from a melt in your mouth experience. Would not recommend. The service was pretty good. The desserts in general did not look appetizing either.

I love a good tart lemonade & their blueberry lemonade is perfection! Cupcakes are dense with lots of icing Another great thing is friendly staff as well as the shop is nice and clean with lots of room!

I got the eyes wide open coffee ice cream and it was some of the best I've had. My wife got a strawberry cupcake. There is a lot of variety here (coffee, ice cream and bakery items) plus lots of seating. The staff here is super friendly too!

This wasn't my initial destination, but I was swayed upon walking by. The interior yielded a delectable display and an energetic husband and wife couple who seemed awfully enthusiastic about what they make. They offer a discount for everyone from locals to doctors (which I didn't bother to ask for). I ordered a Boston Cream cupcake, somewhat hesitant simply because I would not want the people of Boston to think that anyone outside of Boston likes them, but it was a soft, moist, and indulgent creation that barely lasted a minute in front of me. Their beverage options included a matcha latte flavored lightly with melon, a mouthwatering combination that lasted me for a while. They had a large gluten-free cupcake spread, not so much options for the vegans as far as I could tell. But other than suggesting that people trying to avoid dairy and eggs should look in Asheville (plenty of options there), what else could I say against this place?

My wife couldn't resist ordering a cupcake to go after we walked in and saw how beautifully decorated they were. They also had coffees, and some very cute children's books. Friendly staff and unique cupcake boxes to keep your cupcakes beautiful during transit. Stop in and enjoy!

The place is so cute decor is on point. The chai latte, hot chocolate, cortado and donuts are delicious. They carry all kinds of milks no additional charge. We got back in line to take some fresh donuts to go.

The bagels were very different from any we have had before, had a very home baked bread taste. The sweet potato bowl was very flavorful and hit just the right note for lunch. The shop itself is adorable, clean, and had a steady flow of customers. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I ordered an iced dirty chai latte, which is my go-to whenever I'm trying a new coffee shop because it's a pretty reliable way to compare places. It was good, and exactly what I was hoping for. I also tried the cinnamon roll. It was tasty, but pretty standard. Looking back, I think I'd try one of their other bakery items next time. My friend ordered one of their homemade biscuits. It took quite a while to come out--around 15 to 20 minutes--and several other customers were served before we received it. It honestly felt like the biscuit may have been forgotten, which was a little disappointing. Overall, though, we had a pleasant experience. Nothing was overpriced, the staff was kind, and it's the type of local place I always encourage travelers to support. While there are a couple of other coffee shops in Bryson City I'd probably try before returning, I still think La Dolce Vita Bakery is worth a visit so you can form your own opinion. Every café has busy days, and one experience doesn't define a business. If you're looking for a cozy local spot for coffee and a pastry while exploring downtown Bryson City, it's definitely worth stopping in.

We stopped in on the recommendation of a local shop owner while we were visiting Bryson City, and I'm so glad we did. Being from the Tampa area, we're pretty picky about Cuban sandwiches. They're a staple back home, so our expectations were high. The owner happened to be there and confidently recommended the Cuban, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. There was a short wait while it was made fresh, but it was well worth it. The sandwich was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and honestly tasted like a little piece of home. We packed it up and enjoyed it before heading out for an afternoon of tubing, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The shop itself is charming, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere where you can sit down and enjoy your meal. We didn't try the sweets this time, but they looked delicious and give us another reason to come back. Meeting the owner made the experience even better. He was friendly, welcoming, and clearly takes pride in what he serves. Whether you're a fellow Floridian missing a great Cuban or you've never had one before, do yourself a favor and stop by High Test Deli & Sweet Shop. It's absolutely worth it. This is an easy 5-star recommendation, and we'll be back the next time we're in Bryson City.

It's not always easy to find a place that delivers good food, good service, and good value, but High Test Deli did all three. We would definitely stop by again the next time we're in the area.

The brewery has a great rooftop atmosphere that's perfect for relaxing with a drink while taking in downtown Bryson City. They also host live music, although we weren't able to stay long enough to catch the performance. The highlight of our visit was definitely the bartender. I wish I remembered their name because they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to recommend drinks, suggest places around Bryson City to explore, and even gave us recommendations for campgrounds where we could stay that night. Those kinds of interactions are what make traveling so memorable. We had originally planned to grab food from the restaurant downstairs, but that didn't work out during our visit. Thankfully, the brewery itself more than made up for it with its relaxed atmosphere and outstanding hospitality. If you're looking for a laid-back rooftop spot to enjoy a local beer, listen to live music, or chat with friendly locals while exploring Bryson City, Mountain Layers Brewing Company is definitely worth a stop. We'd happily grab another drink here the next time we're in town.
