I had been considering getting my carpets professionally cleaned for a while before pulling the trigger and scheduling it. I called a few companies including Honest Abe and felt they had the best prices and also had many great reviews from fellow neighbors. It was one flat rate depending on how many rooms of carpet you have plus the normal tax. We scheduled ahead for July and Joe the owner gave me a discount since I used my neighbors as a referral which was nice. Joe called the night before to remind me of his arrival window for my appointment day and to remind me to vacuum the carpets I wanted cleaned. Joe arrived well within his window wearing a mask. He explained to me the process and what he was doing every step of the way after I walked him through my home and show which carpets I wanted clean. Joe was quick, efficient in his job of my 4 rooms, upstairs hallway and steps plus two landings. The carpet especially the high traffic areas look brand new and definitely plumped/fluffed up. Honest Abe is simply the best carpet and upholstery cleaners around. I purchased a Groupon for cleaning a sofa and love seat. I have to say I was a little worried because our couches were filthy and stinky from our dirty dogs laying on them. My couches are now smelling fresh and looking amazing. It turned out so much better than I expected Joe arrived early and my husband said that he was incredibly kind and even gave him a few pointers for cleaning up if the dog had an accident. Joe (the owner and super nice guy) and Jeff came and did a wonderful job on our carpet today. They were on time, actually a bit early alerting us with a phone call before arriving. The were fast and friendly. They educated us a bit with some helpful tips and offered an additional service to eliminate the puppy odors. I received a Groupon for a three-area cleaning of my apartment - my three dogs made this service very necessary for a variety of reasons. Scheduling was easy and was about two weeks out when I called. Joe and Chuck came to clean my place and were early, surprisingly. They patiently explained the process and, notably, the chemicals are all-natural and pet safe. They were quick and thorough, personable, and courteous. They were in and out in about an hour. Perhaps most importantly, the carpet looked better than when I moved in and smelled great! I did pay a bit extra for pet sanitizer and for another room but in retrospect, I'm happy to have gotten the entire apartment cleaned for about $135. Great results and fast, friendly service! Our puppy left stains all over our off white carpet and we figured it was ruined. My husband has used Honest Abe at a rental property and we decided to give them a shot before replacing our carpet. They were able to remove almost all the stains and let us know we should use white vinegar on any future stains instead of store bought carpet cleaner, which actually makes the stain worse. If you need a carpet cleaner, I would absolutely recommend Honest Abe!! I needed to have my carpets cleaned after moving out of my apartment and I was so incredibly pleased with their service. (So was my landlord!) Joe, the business owner, and his wife Shannon arrived right on time and were extremely efficient, friendly and courteous. Joe said he's been cleaning carpets since he was a teenager and I could tell he really knows his stuff! They use a vinegar-based treatment solution which is a great alternative to the smelly chemical stuff. They also gave me some great tips on how to keep my carpets clean, especially when my cats decide to urinate where they please. One of my cats peed outside of the litter-box just before I moved out and I was very worried about being able to get the smell out. I went back to the apartment the day after the cleaning and the smell was gone! I'm writing a review for my spouse (since I wasn't there at the time...but he told me all about it). Joe called me saying they were on their way. Once there, my husband explained to them what needed done to our furniture (we got second-hand living room furniture from a family, and their dog "left stains" all over the sides). I recently moved into a home that had the worst, disgustingly dirty carpeting on the 2nd floor. I didn't even want to walk on them. Joe and Chuck came and cleaned my carpets at our new house on Saturday and did a FANTASTIC job!! We just moved to the area and our new house has white carpets throughout the main floor and in the bedrooms. The carpets themselves were in decent condition from the previous owners but we wanted to make sure we got a good thorough clean before moving our furniture up and and settling into our new home. Having white carpets is difficult enough for cleaning stains but Joe was upfront with me about that and was still able to get more of the stains out than I could imagine! He discussed a sanitizing option and a scotch guard option to protect my carpets before beginning his cleaning. Both services were fantastically priced and he even offered me an additional deal for savings so I was able to sanitize and scotch guard all 6 areas of my house! AND to make it better I originally contacted Honest Abe because I found a Groupon and fantastic reviews but I wasn't able to buy the Groupon before it sold out and upon hearing this Joe honored me the Groupon price for the cleaning! Both Joe and Chuck were true gentlemen through the whole process and even offered me some personal recommendations for other businesses to help me complete other projects in my house. They were running early and were polite about calling to ask if it was okay to come earlier than planned. That worked out really well for me but the heads up call asking was the best part! The were quick and efficient as well as very informative about the process while they were here and even gave me some Pittsburgh tips as I am new to the area.
