I called for service due to lights being on in a 2022 car I bought from this dealer. The dealer said they can't get the car in until the end of the month. This is my first Honda and the lady seem to think it was ok to drive. I was transferred to service and the guy seem to not care about the issue and said I can't put your car first. It's like this everywhere. Don't buy a Honda from this place. Oil changes and services difficult to make. I will not buy another car from this place! The car was for the money gets a good review. Horrible customer service experience! Two reasons - trade in and bought used car experience We traded in our other car - sales team wouldn't budge on trade in price stating the dash was unreadable in direct sunlight and there was a small rock crack in windshield. We did our homework and knew the car was worth more but they wouldn't compromise. Should have left right there. Big regret! Left feeling uneasy about the whole deal. We ended up buying a used car only to have break down the next day. Took it to two different dealerships because it broke down twice. Eventually, had to replace fuel pump. Drove fine at the dealership. Several things should've tipped us off. The service team didn't bother to give a new oil change sticker and they couldn't be troubled to fill up the gas tank for a new customer. Really feel like the service team wasn't very through with their care of the car. Probably overlooked some issues. Called the dealership and they were less than willing to help out. Would only cover the diagnostic fee from one dealership. Salesman was crass and rude on the phone with me. Especially when I brought up the fact that they had now listed our trade in car for double what we traded it for. Talk about taking advantage of customers. I guess our dash and windshield were fine after all. The sales team knew they had us and took full advantage of it. They definitely could've helped us out more or given us more for the trade. Lesson - if it feels shady it probably is. Be on your guard if you choose to deal with this place. read more

2/14/24 Just had my 2021 Honda Civic in for service - inspection and oil change - inspection went well - no issues, oil change was done(?) but oil life is still at 30% - makes me wonder did they just forget to reset the oil life or did they also forget to change the oil? Also, the free oil change after so many changes is a gimmick - they have the history on how many oil changes have occurred on my vehicle however, no free oil change without the loyalty card. I tend to have ALL of my maintenance performed by the dealer that sold me the vehicle because the mechanics there should have the best knowledge of my vehicle but things like this make me question my loyalty. read more

I went there after Christmas with serious intentions of buying a new accord. No salesman approached me after an hour or so. I finally had one paged by the receptionist. I got the 'thanks for coming but we're really busy' speech. Never have I been directed to go somewhere else. Another speech I got was 'we should get one in in about 6 to 8 weeks so we'll call you then'. I won't go back that's for sure. I don't know how they are authorized to sell Honda's. I'm truly dumbfounded after that visit. 01/27/2020 update. I worked with Rohrich Honda and they got me exactly whaat I was looking for exactly one month after getting the bum's rush out of Honda North. I can't speak for the sales department, but I can speak for the service department. I've been there twice now for oil changes/inspections and have had nothing but good things to say. They are super friendly and you can actually get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. I came in to get an oil change and tire rotation and they also offered to do my inspection a bit early. Also they had repainted the bumpers and they started peeling shortly thereafter. Everyone nice and friendly, clean dealership. The vehicle I test drove was dirty and had bad brakes. It was a car I was purchasing for my child to take to college. Upon leaving the parking lot there was a rubbing sound and as we drove and applied the brakes the whole car shook and vibrated, obviously bad rotors. We turned around and went back to the dealership, the car was not safe to drive. This was a 'certified' vehicle. The salesman didn't seem concerned, no offer to try another car. I'm beyond over it with this dealership. This place used to be fantastic to deal with (the only reason I'm giving them two stars). When I purchased my car, I could not have been happier with my salesperson and even the service department. I was living out of state and could call in with an issue and they would help me through it. I raved about them. I guess things changed about a year or so ago. I drive out of my way to get to this dealer, I do not live close by. I went here specifically because I was happy with prior experiences. Getting an oil change also meant "advice" on other services that were strongly suggested and if put in now would cost me a ridiculous amount. They started a rewards program and when I would schedule a service I would arrive to be told they don't do those items "this late" or it wasn't available that day (example: a full wash/vac of my car). Don't understand how they have time for the things that will cost me, but the reward program items weren't possible. I've tried to go in for a state inspection twice to be met with frustration and the feeling that because I'm a girl, I must be stupid so let's try to convince her to pay for something she's already covered by. I just tried to call for my THIRD attempt at an inspection and the girl hung up on me in the middle of the call. Maybe an accident, but I'm thinking it's more of a sign. Because I purchased my vehicle here, I could get a free inspection but I'd rather pay double the price then deal with them. I'm done with this dealer and will be happy to adjust the previously positive review I've given to friends and family members. read more

My wife bought her first new car here and can't say enough about them. Same with her sister (the reason she bought her car here) and our brother-in-law. So when I was in a spot in came here and picked at a useful Toyota Rav4. I was out of state when she took delivery. Had I been here it may not have happened. The radio with the SAT button, misleading me into thinking it had a satellite radio, turned out to be a regular AM/FM radio. To be fair the salesgirl Gina reminded me she tried it while we were in the car and it didn't work then, but set up an account for it anyway. When told it wasn't playing she said she had a refresh signal sent, but when we called Sirius and gave then the VIN they said there was no sat radio. Next is a windshield chip in was assured was fixed, when. I came back from Texas I saw it was not. Today I brought it in and encountered the rudest staff I ever met in a "service" department. When done the chip again was still there. The guy who got me told me that the "repair" only keeps the chip from cracking out and spreading, when in another circumstance I had a chip repaired you couldn't see any sign it had ever been there. I bought a 2015 Certified Pre Owned Honda Fit at Honda North. The passenger door handle did not work properly at the time of purchase - meaning the CPO review was not properly completed. The dealership owner still maintains this was not their fault. Since then, the vehicle has stranded me by refusing to start on 5 separate occasions, leading to my having to regularly have it towed back to Honda North at my expense for them to tell me they cannot replicate the issue and will complete no work. It was stated to me that the warranty covered tows, and it will - to the closest possible service location, not to the dealership for warranty work. The car I bought was originally sold at Honda North. You'd think they could stand by it. It has 22,000 miles on it and is the least reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Buyer beware - their follow up and 'warranty' 'service' are severely lacking. read more

After being told by xxx Honda that I would have to wait 2-3 hours to get my CR-V oil changed in their 'Express Service' line, I called Honda North, and they said come on over! Was in immediately and out in under 30 minutes. Oh, I told the service guy I also wanted a tire rotation and after measuring my tread and evaluating my tires he said I don't need to rotate now, wait until next oil change! Leased the car through XXX Honda but will get service from Honda North. XXX Honda FB page has Express Line technician help needed! When the lease comes due where do you think I am going? Can't thank Chris from Honda Nirth enough, you guys are great! Called XXX Honda for an appointment to get our CR-V inspected and was placed on hold for long time, hung up phone and called Honda North, told me to stop in the following morning, was there 30 minutes and got it inspected and ashes for free! The only thing is even if you come in for just an oil change it will take an hour but they do go through a multi point inspection. The service dept was paid to diagnose the AC system on our civic. We were told the system required a new PCM. We picked up the car and found the underbody panels had been left loose. The team had failed to install any bolts, pins or screws to hold the panels in place. The General Manager made sure it was squared away when we picked it the next day. Due to exorbitant pricing we opted to change the ecm ourselves (3 bolts) and sought out a dealer who would flash the ecm for a fair rate. After spending $700 for the repair the ac is still inoperable. Honda north wanted $1100+. We returned to Honda North so they could complete the diagnosis since they failed to solve the issue with the pcm replacement. This time the team claims the compressor thermal switch is bad. They want $400+ for repair. At minimum they failed to perform a complete diagnosis and at worst is gouging us for more money. I would urge you to go elsewhere.... read more

When I bought my 2020 Civic the finance manager said they would throw in Zurich Shield. Said they would eat the cost. What he failed to tell me was that he was adding $545 to the loan for it. When I called to complain about the charge he kept telling me I didn't for it and that he kept my payments the same. Beware of the Zurich Shield scam. read more

They are aways straight forward with the costs, explain what is needed and are always nice. This year I needed new tires, I got their qoute, shopped the tires and they were cheaper then everyone including Costco. Avoid this dealership at all costs. They are masters of bait and switch. Double and triple check your documents before you sign anything. For us they made us wait 3 hrs saying the car was being waxed/ cleaned etc. After 3 hrs of long wait, while signing the finance papers we noticed they increased the agreed price by $750. If you are going in for service ask For Chris... big blonde guy, he is a service writer and he is awesome. I have had my car in for inspection, alignment, and tire balance. Each time he takes time to understand the issues I'm having, walk me through what is needed to resolve the issues, and the last time he even called me the next day to make sure the balance issue was resolved. Most people are transactional in this business but Chris genuinely seems to care and is very patient. Honda North is hands down my go to and Chris will always get my business. read more

I bought a used car from Honda North in late 2012. Pretty happy with the deal overall. Paid about $250 over what my ideal number was and 1% more than my ideal interest rate. My salesman was pretty great, but the financing dept people were rude--they were put out by the fact that I actually wanted to read ALL my paper work. They (the dealership) tried to pull stupid stuff like come back with a counter offer of $115 more than what the sales person and I had agreed on. I understand we're all trying to get the best deal, but it was insulting, and I contemplated walking out. In all fairness, I opened with a low-ball so all's fair I guess. Be careful of the salesmen, they are located in the middle of nowwhere and thus when you walk in they will do anything to sell you a car. They are known for insulting non educated car buyers. the sales people friendly but when it comes close to closing the deal their numbers are contrary to what you think you will get as a decent deal also beware that they will ask you for the keys for your trade in and take a long time to give you back your keys, it took me 1.5 hours to get my keys back this was their tactic to hold me from leaving. read more

Chris Decker was polite, understood my minor concerns with the car, and addressed them. The oil change and inspections were completed in less than a half hour on an unscheduled appointment and I have no doubt that it was completed. I went there to buy a Honda CRV, the finance guy kept trying to push GAP insurance, when the idiot wouldn't take no for an answer I simply stood up and walked out. They chased after me yelling that I was obligated to buy the car now that the paperwork was started and I told them to shove it. Everyone there, from the managers to sales staff to finance are beyond obnoxious. They try to act as if they are selling ferraris or some other high end vehicle and that they are doing you a service by taking your money. I've successfully steered 4 people away from them who have went on to buy honda's from Bianchi Honda up in Erie. Much friendlier, much better service. This car buying experience has been a NIGHTMARE. First time purchasing from a dealership. Bought a pre-owned 2014 Lincoln MKX. The buying process was about as expected, but that's the only shred of positivity in this review. Drove off the lot (with a nearly empty tank of gas) to head back to Pittsburgh and noticed a rumbling noise on the highway. Pulled over and the lug nuts had not been bolted onto one of the wheels. I could unscrew them with my fingers. We're very lucky that the wheel didn't fall off while we were driving. I called back that evening and didn't get an answer. The rumbling continued even after I tightened the lug nuts. I took the car to my mechanic, who told me the wheel had been damaged slightly and needed to be replaced. So I called Honda North. Showed them pictures of the invoice (my mechanic was nice enough to not bill them) and they promised to make it right and find me a new wheel. Two months go by, they said they couldn't find one. Finally they order it and tell me to bring the car in for service. After the wheel is replaced, they want me to come back to pick it up. I've had to drive over an hour back from Pittsburgh three times in the first month of owning this car because of their negligence. Nearly everyone I've spoken with has been super unapologetic and made me feel like I'm a burden. I've got plenty of customer service experience and I can tell you that this is not how you keep your customers coming back. Save your time and money. Buy your car somewhere else. read more

I genuinely wish I could give a 5-star review. If I was reviewing my experience with my purchase, it would be. I purchased a used CRV last summer, and Dustin was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and didn't make me feel pressured at all. Overall my sales experience was great. My recent experience with the service department was anything but great. I should preface this by explaining my car situation- I have never owned a "newer" car. Because of my budget, I have always purchased junk cars on Craigslist, owned them a few years, then swapped out for another. After losing a transmission in another junk car, I finally decided that I would find a way to finance a more reliable vehicle. Although the CRV I purchased was 5 years old, to me it was brand new and most definitely the nicest car I have ever owned. I took a second job to be able to afford the monthly payments (working 7 days a week), and made a promise to myself that I would also have it serviced at the dealership- even though it would cost me more than going to my local mechanic. I was dedicated to taking good care of my vehicle. I have had services done a few times since I purchased the vehicle, including oil changes and a remote start installation- I had never had a problem. About a month ago, I made an appointment for an oil change & state inspection. Upon arrival, I notified the mechanic that my antifreeze was pretty low (below the "min" line on the reservoir), and requested that it be topped up. He assured me that checking fluids was part of their "multi-point inspection", and it would be taken care of. About an hour into the service, he notified me that my rear pads & rotors needed to be replaced at a cost of about $500. Although I know my local mechanic could have performed this service for about half that price, I decided to dip into my savings and have it fixed at the dealership. After my service, I hurried up to work, and afterward checked under the hood to see that the antifreeze had not even been touched. To me, this was a HUGE red flag. Not only did they miss it after I requested it be topped up, but also after supposedly performing a "multi-point inspection". I came back to the dealership the next day and talked to who I assume was a supervisor, who took my information and said he would call me with a solution the next day. I never heard back. About two weeks later, I sent a message to the dealership via the website and also never heard anything back. My disappointment comes mostly from the fact that taking care of my car is a struggle for me. I could have easily had my pads & rotors fixed much cheaper, but I saved up my money to have it done at a reputable location. If they can't catch something as simple (yet important) as low antifreeze, what else are they missing? Did I really need new rotors? read more

Growing up in Butler, PA I have had the privilege to know this establishment since it was bought and spun-off from Country Motors. Over that time I have bought two cars from this dealer and if there is a third Honda in my future, I will certainly purchase it from Honda North even though I now five hours away in Washington, DC. Not only was the sales service great, but what really sets Honda North apart from the other dealerships and makes it worthy of its six President's Awards is its post sale customer service. I will illustrate this point with a story. I was river rafting in the Poconos and, like a moron, left my keys in my pocket. Upon returning to land I discovered that my keys were no longer in my pocket. I am not a Triple A member so I had a friend drive me to the nearest Honda dealership so I could have a key made. When I got to the Poconos dealership they would not cut me a key without my registration which, surprise, was locked in my car. Long story short I had the Poconos dealership call Honda North who worked with the local dealer to verify the car was mine. The local dealership then cut me a key and I was able to retrieve my valet key that was in the glove box. This story I think illustrates the above and beyond service that makes this dealership great. read more

This dealership is criminal. They gave us an out the door price and took a down payment. When we went to pick up the vehicle, suddenly the out the door price was no longer the out the door price and they decided that we needed to pay them a few thousand more dollars after we made arrangements for this to be our new vehicle including the new insurance that they demanded we get on top of existing insurance. They also lied on the price of the car after current incentives and gave us some sob story about losing money after getting us to sign the original form by stating that they will do what it takes to sell cars in volume and sell way below their invoice price. I will never get a car from here again and I would not recommend it. Unfortunately, I did not consult the internet on them before going there I hope that you make a better choice. Don't trust anything that they say or write on paper even, nothing that they give you in writing can be trusted even after you put a down payment on the car and have an agreement. read more
