Over the past 6 months my mother has been left alone without a nighttime caregiver on 3 separate occasions. She is unable to get to the bathroom on her own so she spent the entire night in her chair unable to get the bathroom. The lack of a caregiver was never communicated with the family so they could care for their mother while she was uncared for. The response from The Key has always been a simple apology with no other offer or promise to even do better. Unfortunately, it seems The Key is most interested in making money and not providing quality home care for elderly people and their families who are relying on them to care for loved ones.

This whole process has been incredibly overwhelming especially when you are trying to set up accounts, understand rules & policies, find services that are reliable and can meet your needs asap. Completely distraught, on a Saturday morning, I called several in home health care agencies. Most of them have answering services or recordings to leave a message. I waited for a call back. No one was available to talk to me. Home Care Assistance was the third agency I called to get help for my Dad. "Christina" answers the phone, she speaks clearly, and has a talent for comforting you. I was looking for someone to rescue me!! I expected an aide to come out that Saturday morning (not knowing the industry standard process). The owner himself, Matthew P., came out to our house within 2 hours to evaluate my dad on a Saturday afternoon. Matthew was professional, kind, patient, understood our circumstance and made several suggestions to help us sort through the care we needed. Matthew did his BEST to get someone to us that night but couldn't on such short notice but he did get an aide to us Sunday morning at 8am. A Certified Nursing Assistance named Sisa showed up on time and hit the ground running!! Her level of care was off the charts beyond our expectations. Sisa made two meals, vacuumed the house, transferred my dad several times, toileted him, bathed him, interacted with him and much much more. Sisa saved ME and has been a perfect fit for my both of my parents. I've hired this aide for 12 hours a day until the end of the week until I can figure out more about Medicare. FIVE STARS for Home Care Assistance!! I am so thankful grateful and appreciative and will be using their services over and over until the end of life phases for both of my parents. THANK YOU!!! Two days after the first fall she was pushed and her hip was fractured. The 15 days my mom was in their care before she died was filled with pain and abuse. We've had numerous injury reports from my parents regarding their care in the last several months as Harmony has grown their business at our facility. The injuries weren't malicious that I can tell, more symptomatic of their over-burdened caregivers who constantly rush to keep up and cause damage along the way. They have 1 caregiver in the morning and 1 at night covering *22 patients* at this facility. Because they started with my father first, that meant he had to wake up at 7:45 AM out of a dead sleep each day to keep their schedule and he was pulled, pushed and prodded causing significant pain in his neck, back and bedsores while getting him cleaned. When operating the Hoyer lift, they consistently banged his head on the door frame or bent his neck sideways because the mesh netting wasn't centered correctly which I witnessed personally. When he or my mother would beg for mercy, they had the audacity to complain to their corporate team that they were being insulted. The corporate team were never interested in our version of these events. Every time the company tried to send help, the new caregiver would quit within 2 weeks due to the conditions they were thrown into and how they were treated by this company, always a red flag for an agency. It became a joke at the community which Harmony CG we'd get to 'meet' this week as they desperately tried to staff to meet needs unsuccessfully. Nothing was more unprofessional and negligent at this company than the corporate staff who are impossible to get ahold. The moment we informed them we were moving on from their services to another provider, however, we had no problem hearing from them. They discharged us within 24 hours via email which left us completely alone. Our new service hadn't had a chance to take over yet, so we were left completely scrambling. Because this was in violation of our agreement and my dad's patient bill of rights, we were advised to call HHS. The day before his discharge, his CG shoved his pillow down to speed up the decline of his bed which destroyed my dad's neck. They delivered the wrong meal to him at lunch (he's diabetic) and then we realized after they'd discharged him that he'd been left with a full diaper for HOURS. We are not the only families who've had these issues at this facility either, hence the other agency being brought in. Hopefully no one else goes through what my family has had to endure by Harmony Home Health. Do your research. Protect your family. I'd recommend finding literally any other option.

She is the most caring and most gentle person I have ever met. From the first day she treated me like we were old friends. I was comfortable around her from the first minute we met (which I feel is super important when it comes to someone in the medical field). She sympathizes with the fact I'm in pain and does everything in her power to make the cleaning of the wound as bearable as possible (if you've never had a bad burn, this is practically impossible). I wish I could give more than five stars, I highly recommend her!
