This used to be a good company but their customer service and website are terrible now that they have been bought by another company.

Then she refused to answer me about the availability. Instead asked for my name. When I gave first name only, she asked if she could have my last name. I politely declined and asked again if the property was available. She ignored my question again and asked if the phone number I was calling from was a good contact number (!). I did not confirm, just gave up and ended the call. Talk about not taking a hint. VERY aggressive. I then received an unsolicited call a few minutes later from someone else representing the agency--Jordan (no last name)--from a 571 number. He didn't know what I had called about. I didn't ask to be called back, so there was some confusion while we pieced it together. I had to dig to figure out he was from the same Keller Williams office I'd called. I told him what happened and he explained that the woman answering the phones probably wasn't qualified to give me the information I requested. While that may be the case, she never said anything like that and I don't appreciate the way she handled my call. I also don't appreciate the way she passed the message without my permission and without the necessary details. I asked him about the property I had initially found and he said he'd have to call me back. He did so, to his credit, called again and said it was 'no longer available.' Both of his calls came from two different numbers than the one I had called initially. The property listing seemed too good to be true--a SFH in rural Fairfax for $2200. I wonder if this is a real listing or just a way to generate phone leads. I see there is another review under a different office phone number that indicates robocalls could be an issue from a Keller Williams in Chantilly. I wonder if it's the same people. This all basically meant a lot of wasted time and frustration for me. Very typical these days. Sure seems it may be another agency wasting the time of the good people of the area who are just trying their best to find a home in an unbelievably difficult market.

I understand that it is a hot market and there is a huge competition out there. But when you continuously call, send texts and emails, trying to find out where your offer stands, and they still have no decency to respond, it really shocks me. I am hoping that no other home buyer has to go thru what we had to with G. Bailey. It was truly disappointing that this person couldn't address any of our messages.

There was an outstanding balance on my HOA acccount that had to be settled before I could go to closing. I called and left a message twice looking for a clarification for this charge. The call was never returned.

I know, I know...."WTF dude, you're NOT giving them a one star rating???" Yes, but hear me out…read more I'm not sure that I've heard of any HOA company that anyone has been absolutely 100% thrilled with, so the playing field is already pretty low in that respect. However it's all about the people you interact with, AND how you treat these people. A lot of homeowners go into any exchange with an HOA company with a chip on their shoulder, and it's easy to forget that the folks on the receiving end of this are also human. So. As you read this, you actually might start to wonder why I gave only four stars and not five, and the reason for that is because Sequoia has been a little slow to catch up to the digital age: it took a loooong time for them to stop sending those ridiculous paper vouchers for us to make our dues payments and to also not charge extra fees for taking online payments, so I had to administer a ding for that. Also, they are a bit stringent on their "inspections" - sending nastygrams to people for putting their trash out early because they're going out of town the next day? C'mon, that is NOT going to reduce property value. But I digress... The good part of all this? Our neighborhood's rep, Shannon Cook. Shannon is definitely no dummy, so while I wince to say it I am sure she knows she's probably reviled by some members of our neighborhood just for the very nature of the job she has to do. But what those folks don't know or appreciate is just how well she does it. Several years ago I unwittingly (read: dumbly) volunteered to serve a 3-year stint on the board of directors for our HOA, and in doing so I got a front-row seat to seeing all the things that Shannon does for our community on behalf of Sequoia. She is extremely methodical, very organized, and - as I alluded to earlier - sharp as a tack. Having served that term on the board I came to understand and appreciate just how ignorant, entitled, and downright rude some of my fellow neighbors are. And while the board I served with were on the receiving end of some of that ire, Shannon took the brunt of it....with the patience of a f*#@ing saint. Since then, when listening to some of my neighbors complain about their interactions with Shannon, I realize that in the vast majority of the cases they are entering into those exchanges already in the wrong. So when she responds to them with the facts and the established rules/bylaws, she's immediately the enemy. It's a no-win. What a lot of my neighbors don't see is how tirelessly she works at this job. It is NOT a 9-to-5 job, and she is at every single evening HOA meeting, coming to the neighborhood on weekends to meet with contractors, and responding to communications from community members and her colleagues well outside of normal business hours. Witnessing all this for quite some time and seeing how much time she puts into our neighborhood, I was absolutely floored to find out that our neighborhood IS NOT THE ONLY ONE SHE MANAGES. She is keeping up this same level of service for other neighborhoods as well, so I have no clue when this woman sleeps. So five stars for Shannon acting on behalf of Sequoia, but the caveats from the Sequoia company I called out above make it four.

It took 4 times of her disrespecting me to the point I am beyond fed up. I kept staying quiet. I kept getting disrespected. The nicer I was the more she pushed me down to the bottom of her priority list and value. and my value was zero to her as a human. She was sending the wrong listings I didn't complain. I asked her to please send the other ones. Then she was sending rentals. Then listings in the wrong state. I pointed out to her. I've been beyond patient and got nothing but denial and her gaslighting me telling me she didn't send the wrong areas when I clearly am looking with my own eyes and they are there. The nicer I was the more shed I guess thought I was a pushover and could just keep cancelling past minute. On top Of this she wasn't scheduling any showings for me and cancelled meeting TWICE !!!! I texted her and she still was gaslighting me telling me the listings dod not include erroneous info. The listings that were there were unclear if they were preach built or new construction. I asked. She said she would let me know . She didn't. Then she cancels the appointment again so she can go help someone else I guess a juicier deal just arrived at her and she shoved me aside like dirt to take her other appointment after cancelling prior and me re arranging to meet her time. I have never ever dealt with this level of cold uncaring service from anyone. She literally has no regard for me as a human being and zero respect for my time.

He represented sellers of a home, discussed multiple offers with multiple potential buyers but then subsequently refused to communicate the majority of those offers to the seller he was representing. Ultimately the seller was deceived into accepting a lower offer than others submitted, and the home went to a flipper connected to Jovan and his team. Further proof of this unethical, if not illegal, behavior can be seen by Jovan and Jennifer now representing that very same flipper who's desperately trying to sell the same property after polishing a turd! With the monthly fee over $771/month that is their job and I should not have to waste an hour of my time to fill out forms and upload last years inspections but I did and now they have posted a letter they are going to break in next week if someone is not home. She assisted my brother and me with the sale of our parents' home in April 2022. I have worked with many real estate professionals on several transactions over the years and can say with confidence that Philippa is one of the best I have ever used. Philippa has the qualities that make her an extremely successful and effective agent. We found her extremely knowledgeable and well-attuned to the super fast-changing market of early 2022. She was always attentive to our concerns and very responsive to questions, often responding immediately no matter the time. She showed great attention to detail enabling the sale to be made in less than a week. Our mother had recently passed away and we were raw with grief. Furthermore, we live in California, so it was even more important that we could rely on someone like Philippa to take the reins from beginning to end and that is exactly what she did. She was able to interpret and solve all the questions pertaining to our mother's Trust without the need for outside lawyers, and this was a great convenience to us. We also feel that we got the highest price possible for the house based on her pricing strategy and advice. Philippa exceeded our expectations in every way. The sale went very smoothly and we closed on time. I would not hesitate to recommend Philippa to anyone in need of a listing agent or for the purchase of a home. We interviewed three other agents before deciding on Philippa and she did not disappoint. Every detail was perfect, from the fantastic professional photos, the listing description, to the impeccable transactional aspects leading to the close of escrow. In a nutshell, she is a top tier professional, intelligent, tenacious, fun and talkative, bright and conscientious. If you need an agent/broker then hire Philippa Main. You won't be disappointed.
