Please be very careful understanding the commitment membership when you sign up for it. I was a new mom just resuming my work outs when I signed up for it. 8 months in, I barely used 1-2 classes so I called to cancel it. The cancellation fee was $240 ($30 for each month that the membership has been in place). Totally my fault for not reading the fine print but very unreasonable in my view for the minimal use. In addition, the classes are often overpacked and unless you sign up with a lot of anticipation you are unlikely to find slots for the same day or even the next day, specially on weekends. Life happens and you want a place that sees you as a person, not a monthly payment they will squeeze as much as they can. read more

If you have been to Bikram yoga, you know what to expect. If you have not, it's a totally judgement free zone, the instructors are very welcoming and always very encouraging. You will get a workout. Maria, the owner and one of the instructors, is extremely friendly, and helpful. There are two showers, and people are usually pretty respectful with how long they spend in the showers. The changing room is pretty much open space. I'm not that "free", so I usually duck into the bathroom stalls to change. You have to expect that there is a certain smell for a yoga studio where the exercise is sweat your balls off for 90 minutes in 105 deg room, but this studio makes effort to keep the place welcoming. They updated the carpet and steam-clean the space. I also like there is enough space in the studio to spread out. There are enough classes at different times. You are never on top of each other, where you have to sweat on another person's towel, or vice versa. read more

So I took up the pizza and pastry diet awhile back, put my yoga practice on the back burner and found myself too embarrassed to do yoga. Feel off the wagon with whoopie pies. Read some of my other reviews if you're into whoopie pies. Not putting down whoopie pies in a figurative sense but I did finally reach the point of enough is enough. After making some awesome adjustments in the way I choose what I eat I started thinking about the yoga practice I fell away from. Renegades do stuff like this. Five dollar Fridays in Natick found its way onto my radar. Tonight I swallowed my pride and went to yoga. I forgot how nobody really cares if I'm carrying extra weight. They have their own reasons for being there. Maria was the instructor. Totally awesome dialog. I felt comfortable from the moment I stepped through the door until I left. The yoga kicked my ass. Just what I needed. From where I live in Auburndale, Natick is only five miles away. I loved that parking was free and easy. I bought some new shoes today. Someone complimented them. Really nice. Even though I've never been to this studio it was like going back home. And now, two hours after class I feel awesome. I love you Natick. See you next time. read more

I echo what so many people before have said about Bikram yoga: you need to try it at least once in your life. You feel clean and refreshed afterwards, even though you'll sweat more than you probably ever have in your life. My friends and I started going in March, after hearing about how great Bikram was. It was a great way for us to get in some much-needed exercise, and it was really good for de-stressing during the end of classes and finals. The one-time class prices are great for student budgets, and the 2-week newcomer intro is a fantastic deal. Bikram Yoga in Natick is excellent; the facilities are spotless (and don't smell), there's plenty of parking, it's easy to get to, and there's a good selection of class times to fit anyone's schedule. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful, and incredibly encouraging. They'll never make you feel lousy about not being able to do a pose, or sitting down when you're feeling light-headed. Definitely go to Bikram Yoga in Natick if you get the chance. You won't regret it!! I only wish I found it earlier before I graduated! read more

I love this studio and began with the holiday special $20 for ten days of classes. The space is easy to get to, there is abundant parking and every amenity is available for purchase if you forget something from liters of water, coconut water, towels or mats. The instructors are warm, welcoming and incredibly talented. I love heading to a 9:30am class to start my day. I will be a client for quite some time to come. I love this place! read more

Just starting here after my studio pretty much stopped offering early morning Bikram (26/2). The studio is convenient for my commute (full disclosure I have also joined a studio in Burlington for weekends). First the instruction is very good- the instructors have helped me improve my poses, the heat is consistent, the showers are clean and, unlike some hard core studios (that I have visited whilst traveling) there is a collegial atmosphere. I liked that Michelle from the studio called to get feedback and to check on me. I have not tried the hot Pilates but am sticking with the Bikram. Great staff. Thanks Louise and Audrey! read more

Bikram Yoga Natick is a beautiful studio. Maria, Audrey and the entire teaching staff there are extremely warm and welcoming and absolutely inspiring. The studio itself is set up as a typical Bikram studio which means carpet and one wall of mirrors. From what I understand Bikram believes hot yoga should be done on carpet so sweat doesn't pool and cause slippery floors and injuries. He had done extensive research on the floor types. All Bikram studios should have a rug steam clean policy. They are suppose to change them every few years. I've never felt that they were unsanitary at all. This studio is extremely clean and gives me more than I could ever ask for in a studio! Lots of workshops, advice, student challenges and student of the month! Bikram Yoga works for me. It's a set of 26 postures and aims at healing the spine, body and spirit. Having had a spinal fusion when I was 15 I never ever imagined I could do the postures....but I can! I honestly believe if you ever want or need healing in your life, try a few classes. Commit...because this will be the best gift you could ever give yourself. I'm so thankful for Bikram Yoga Natick for creating such a kind and loving family. I promise you will leave this studio changed in an amazing way! read more

This is such an awesome studio. Super clean space, with lots of open space/room. Every instuctor leads a great Bikram class but also hads a little bit of themselves to it. I had never taken Bikram yoga before and did two classes so far this week. It is extremely challenging in many ways. The instructors speak very fast and continuously delivering information and instruction. it is very hot and stifling and one sweats profusely. At first the room felt unbearable but you just deal with it. Many postures are hard to attain and require flexibility and balance. I know that all sounds bad but ironically I feel the therapeutic effects already -both mind and body. Acclimatizing to the heat, performing the postures, (developing the flexibility and balance) the focus etc. all come with regularly participation. I am confident about that observing the other participants in the studio. Anyway, this is a high class facility with amazing instructors -have taken form Margie and Maria (owner). They are terrific and unsurpassed in their knowledge, leadership and attentiveness to the participants. I couldn't recommend this Bikram Studio more highly and believe this is one of the best things I have done for myself. read more

After checking Yelp for Bikram yoga reviews in four+ other west coast cities while traveling I figured I should write a review about my 'home' studio. And I'll qualify that I am a super-fan of the Bikram style and the heat & humidity that allows me to relax my muscles. First, I'm glad to have this studio close by. Other studios might have some feature or architectural character that makes them interesting, but this studio has the whole Bikram package. -Always clean. This may be the most important attribute of any studio since I don't know if I could go to a studio where I didn't want to touch the walls or the floor. -The best owner/instructor. If you haven't taken a class with Maria you should. And she's usually around checking people in or taking a class herself so you can get how her personality makes this place even when she's not teaching. -Discounts not just for students and seniors, but for military. Makes this yoga very affordable even with a gym membership as well. I've brought numerous active duty military and veteran friends (after getting ribbed for taking yoga) and all were floored, amazed, humbled and grateful for the experience. That includes those who didn't like the heat & humidity but liked the way they felt after the class. -Very consistent environment in the hot room. I've been to other Bikram studios that did not regulate the heat & humidity mix so consistently which leaves you extremely hot and nauseous or just a little less imbued for deep stretches. One studio had plenty of heat and but had to 'wave open' the door to regulate temperature. All facilities have some limitation in their construction so I just feel lucky to have such a constant baseline from which to gage others. -Showers. Thank god. Don't know how other studios with hot yoga pass on this one. One of facility challenges listed above I guess. And until you go to a studio where you have to walk through the hot room to get to/from the showers/changing areas you don't realize how great it is to have separate entrances. -Parking is never an issue. -Hot room rugs: I just accept Bikram for the sweatshop that it is. I've been to other studios that smelled like feet throughout. Bikram Natick is not like that. I can tell I'm entering the studio at the front door but it never affects me once I'm inside before or after class. Wood floors get slippery, pool up the sweat or aren't comfortable off the mat and towel. One other studio in Seattle had an interesting hard gym non-slip rubber type floor but weird bathrooms that I had to go through the hot room to get to. I'd take the rugs here with the showers directly from the front door anytime. -Completely non-judgemental. I've seen people from all ages and abilities in Bikram Natick and all seem to be welcomed. Instructors will mentor anyone who struggles but then let each person work to their own limits. -My last comment is on the Bikram style itself and the criticism of the commercialization of the yoga. If you want incense and holistic meditation with far east art on the walls, you can find that in a lot places. I have injuries from my feet to my neck from years of athletic endeavors and I need the package that Bikram put together. This style of yoga is better than: physical therapy or chiropractors (cheaper too); pain meds; cortisone injections; surgery (if you can stave it off); saunas; whirpools; temperpedic beds; orthopedic pillows, etc, etc. I have way less pain and far more mobility since doing this yoga than in the 4 years prior when my injuries took me out of any game. I've been practicing yoga for the past 15 years and Bikram yoga for 5. I travel often and have the opportunity to try out many studios. I've taken Maria's classes twice now and she is hands down the best Bikram yoga instructor I've experienced. I've had a few who just dialed it in. Not so for Maria. She's attentive, encouraging and highly knowledgeable about the poses and the reasons for practicing yoga. After her classes, I noticed I was much more aware of my core muscles and how to use them. This place is so great! I'm new to yoga. I'm over 40 and I have RA. I've been told that Bikram Yoga was the style I need to help me get well. I tried it for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it! It's challenging in a good way. It was great to just focus on me. I went again today and I didn't get to finish the class because I started to feel dizzy. Totally my fault.. I'm on a 2 day juice fast and today was day 2. The trainer took care of me!! She gave me more water and some electrolytes. This place cares about its members and I will definitely return very soon! read more

I can't sit criss-cross so I'm not a flexible pretzel but I do love a good Yoga class. I discovered power yoga about 10 years ago and enjoy trying the many variations. The wonderful thing about Bikram is how consistent it is with the same 26 poses each class so if you travel - even to a land with a foreign language you can follow along and know the routine if you are a regular practice. And if you have never tried, there is no better place than at Bickram Natick where the owner/ instructor, Maria, is clear and encouraging to guide from one move to the next. The time goes by so fast just listening to her rhythmic constant stream of direction, count, and motivation. Any studio with Bikram's blessing as a true Bikram Yoga studio is required to be carpeted. The reason is safety since it is the original HOT yoga and wood or other floors would be hazardously slippery from sweat. Bikram Yoga Natick is incredibly clean with wonderful showers and changing areas. The studio floors are professionally cleaned regularly and large fans vent the room. That being said, there have been comments about odor and to address this I would point to the full capacity of students at most classes due to popularity and a reminder of how it smelled when you came back to your desk in 3rd grade in an air-conditioned clean room when everyone just came running back in from recess all sweaty. No matter how clean a place is, sweaty bodies have an odor. Consider it a good thing and prepare to join in! read more

This is a spacious, clean, and very well kept studio. The instructors are helpful and knowledgeable, and there is an overall positive vibe that makes this studio very welcoming. They are mindful of newcomers and make sure that you are doing well, but also encourage you to do push yourself and your practice. Although I was intimidated by Bikram yoga at first, it only took one class for me to get completely hooked. I will be returning for classes. Highly recommend! read more

My friends and I were fortunate enough to try this studio out recently, and it was a fantastic experience! Everyone was so friendly and warm (which was especially appreciated because it was a first for many of us), the workout was hot and rigorous but you never felt uncomfortable if you needed to sit out for a pose or two, and we loved that we could shower off on-site afterward. I have been practicing Bikram Yoga at the Natick studio for just over 4 months and cannot say enough wonderful things about Maria, the other instructors and the studio in general. BIkram Yoga provides a workout unlike anything else you've experienced at the gym and the teachers are knowledgeable, attentive and encouraging. The studio is brand new, easily accessible, and the class times will work for anyone's schedule. When I was able to convince my 28 year old football-watching, hockey-playing, sports addicted husband not only to come once, but to fall in love with Bikram Yoga Natick like I had, I knew Maria and her studio had hit a home run! read more

After a couple months of working with a trainer three days a week and not really having much result other than sore muscles, I decided to check out this studio, the sign for which I noticed out of the corner of my eye while driving to work one day. Actually, I noticed it and then kept noticing it as if the gauntlet had been thrown and was I going to accept the challenge or what? I'm easily 40 pounds overweight and a mother of a very active two year old. I had every excuse ready why I shouldn't do yoga, let alone bikram (I had had some experience a decade earlier so i knew how challenging the practice was). I'm so glad I bit the bullet and went one night. While I was intimidated for about two minutes (the time it took me to get up the two flights of stairs), all that trepidation melted away when I went in and saw smiling Maria. I had corresponded with her via email and she made me feel welcome and didn't make so much of a hint of laughter or smirk or smile when she saw my long pants and cotton tee shirt. The intro deal is a super value and it is such a great complement to my strength training and cardio at gym. It's as much a physical workout as it is mental and I love it. I feel good I gave myself the chance and I feel so good about what the practice is doing for my well being. How in the world other reviewers could do bikram on a non carpeted floor, I'm not sure. I'd slip but I do see the point about sweat getting into fibers. I think a eucalyptus diffuser would help but honestly, I'm sure it is cleaned daily and the studios and facilities are immaculate and smell nice. The instructors are kind, welcoming and always available for questions and extra support. I highly recommend bikram natick. Other yoga places have a variety of classes (including hot yoga which is not the same) which actually limit when you can and want to go. This place has four or five class options seven days a week. I took my first class at BYN almost 4 years ago and have been coming here 3 times a week ever since. The teachers are wonderful, the room is hot and the studio is clean. This is a no frills studio that sticks to the original 26 and 2, with a very encouraging approach. The studio is new. The instructors are nice. I have 2 complaints about this particular studio: it smells and is noisy. The minute you walk into the building. you can smell the studio. As one climbs the stairs to get to it, it gets progressively worse. It is really, really bad when you take a class 2 hours after the previous one. I'm not sure if it is the carpet or no way to get fresh air into the place, but it is a real turnoff. My other complaint is that it is really noisy before the class. I like to come in and relax a bit b/f the class, but is hard to do as many just talk and socialize in normal voices. read more

I recently moved out of Boston to the burbs and the biggest transition was the loss of not being able to practice at my Bikram yoga studio. I literally cried with happiness when I heard Bikram Yoga Natick was opening. The studio is better than I could have imagined--clean, big, bright and cheerful--and easily accessible off several highways. Maria (the owner) has been so accomodating about the schedule--including opening at 5:30 am 2 days a week for us early birds. For those devout Bikram followers, Maria is an amazing teacher who provides helpful instructions while staying true to the dialog--one of the best teachers I have had in over 7 years of practicing. She rocks! For those that have never tried Bikram, it will change your life! 90 minutes a day can change your body, mind, and spirit! Anyone can benefit from the class regardless of ability. For those that think yoga is for sissys, I dare you try it-It will work your body in ways you didn't know it could do! read more
