Today we had them at the school to provide snow cones to our students. Michelle and Herb, along with their daughter and nephew, served about 400 snow cones in about 3 hours. The staff of Rasbury's was very friendly and accommodated all of our wants and needs. All employees wore latex gloves while serving our students. Not one student went away with a frown. The students had the option of Blue Rasberry, grape, strawberry, and banana. They also had a couple of sugar free flavors, one was Georgia Peach which I heard was awesome. Quick service plus lots of smiles equals a great time. At their shop on Main Street they also serve ice cream. I have not experienced it yet but when I do you can guarantee I'll do a review. The snow cones I give for sure!

They clearly are still learning how to run a food business. After waiting about 15-20 minutes the guy in front of me of me got his calzone and I checked on my freeze. They had forgotten to make it. They were out of several menu items. Even after I saw them posting earlier on Facebook they had ordered more. Everyone was nice enough but watching and listening to them from the attached side dining room you could tell they had no idea what they were doing. I don't think they have any kind of order tracking process. Nobody seems to be in charge of "expediting". I think they should have limited their menu (it's huge covering breakfast lunch dinner ice cream and pizzas) and definitely done a soft open to work things out. Prices weren't too bad. I'll try their pizza next time. Hopefully they work out the logistics of running a resturaunt.

A New Diner in Town: A Tale of Hope, Heartbreak, and Tater Tot Redemption…read more In the culinary wilderness that has been our town -- a place where the absence of a diner left a void as deep as an overcooked egg yolk -- a beacon of hope appeared. A shiny, remodeled restaurant, doors flung open like the gates of heaven, promising comfort food and a taste of community. I wanted to love it. I tried to love it. I gave it four chances. And yet, like a tragic romance, it just didn't love me back. Let's break it down, shall we? Round 1: The Cheeseburger and the Pizza The burger arrived with all the enthusiasm of a middle school band recital -- you appreciate the effort, but it's hard to clap. The patty, handmade but devoid of seasoning, was swallowed whole by the bun and veggies like a lost soul in a carb purgatory. The pizza? Let's just say it was... a pizza. Not as good as the old local spot, but even that place had off days. So, I gave it a lukewarm, "Eh, okay," and trudged on. Round 2: Breakfast of Regret I ordered biscuits and gravy, hoping for a warm hug in food form. What I got was more like a passive-aggressive pat on the back. The biscuits were decent, but the gravy was a ghost of flavor past. I've had better gravy at a gas station -- literally. Round 3: Cheeseburger Revisited Hope flickered. The burger was thicker this time, a marked improvement. I could finally taste the meat, though it still screamed for seasoning. Salt and pepper, people -- it's not witchcraft. The tater tots, though? Chef's kiss. Golden, crispy, and so good I almost forgot about the bland burger. Almost. Round 4: The Breakfast Apocalypse This was where my hope went to die. Over-easy eggs came out well-done, their yolks clinging to life like they knew what was coming. The toast was so thin it practically dissolved upon touch, a mere suggestion of bread. And the sausage patties? Flattened and flavorless, like sadness pressed into pork form. For $10, I didn't get breakfast -- I got existential dread. The Verdict Despite my complaints, I want this place to succeed. I want it to thrive. It's new, and everyone deserves time to find their footing. So, I'll be back. Maybe not next week, maybe not next month, but in six months to a year, I'll give it another shot. Because every diner deserves a redemption arc, and I still believe in happy endings -- even if, for now, they taste like tater tots. 3 stars. For potential. For effort. And for those glorious tots.
