Hometown is the BEST pizza hands down. Anytime my family visits they all ask "can we order from that awesome pizza place!" Not only is the pizza (and all the food) really great, but they also really take care of their customers. I have a picky family and some places can get rude about my requests but NEVER Hometown. In fact now when I call they even remember my order and just ask "which one are we going with today". I cannot say enough positives about them. They really are great all around. read more

Ordered the Farmers Primavera Pizza for delivery. In the notes I requested thin crust and fewer artichokes, proud to say they followed through. Pizza arrived hot and was absolutely delicious! I usually don't eat the extra crust but I couldn't resist with Hometown's crust. It was so crispy and even had a slight sweetness to it! I was worried I might not like the eggplant but it was the best part of the pizza! Definitely a new favorite! read more

Excellent service...always! Right down the street from me, and it's a very welcome part of our neighborhood. Never had a bad meal, never had bad service, and never not gotten a smile from everyone! Subs are made to order fresh, both cold and hot, and always made how you want it. You never have to settle. I've been trying everything on the menu, and have never been let down. Family was next door getting hair cuts and I figured we would try it out for the first time. Ordered cheesesteaks and pizza. The steak was finely cut and tasted very good. The pizza that I ordered was for child and not for me, they had added some ingredients to make it special for me. When they saw that it was for my son and that he didn't like the extra toppings they asked me if they could make him some pizza for him without me having to ask. That was very nice of them. I ordered through Yelp and the process was pretty seamless. The driver was courteous and arrived early. However the pizza wasn't very good. Overall, the crust is pretty flavorless and the pizza was extremely salty. I got a pizza with sausage and roasted peppers, which were a salt bomb, and the pesto pizza special, which was slightly better. The red sauce is so scant that it didn't add much flavor to offset the saltiness of the cheese. The pesto was ok, but didn't taste special 3nough to reorder. The delivery fee is reasonable l, so if you're committed to buying local pizza instead of pizza from a chain, it's not the worst. However, next time I'll just order Domino's. read more

The antipasto salad was great! I ordered online and my food was ready in minutes. I had the antipasto salad and it was very fresh and tasty. The tomatoes were nice and red and there was a ton of Italian cold cuts piled on top. Overall, the portion size was good and they include a pita to snack on or roll up. People say that you can't get something of good quality that is fast and cheap. I have ordered delivery from here twice, and both times those very qualifications were met. Have no illusions: the food is typical greasy, fried fare. But if that is what you are craving on a stressful, humid Tuesday night, you can't go wrong. Our food was here in 20 minutes, and it was so hot it warped the styrofoam. We ordered chicken fingers and a cheeseburger, and my burger was done just as I asked (only cheese, tomato, pickle, light mayo, medium rare). The fries were hot and crispy. And the side salad (something that typically languishes in our fridge, a forgotten hunk of iceberg) looks like a promising lunch for tomorrow with fresh greens and yellow peppers. Worst experience ever. Since this place has changed owners recently my family has gone to this place several times most recently last week. Ordered a cheese pizza and jalepeno poppers today Monday pizza special they told us about last week $6 on Mondays so my daughter picks up the order they charged $11.95 for pizza icalled when she got home and asked why they said because I didn't tell them I wanted the special price are you kidding me . I told her that's terrible and I wasn't told I had to tell them I want to pay 6 and not 12 really. They called me back and the girl saying now there's a coupon there is no coupon you robbed my young daughter because you figured you could. I had. I haven't been impressed with the reviews of other restaurants in the Boston area, but this one lives up to the hype. They have amazing and unique pizza and salad. I had the buffalo pizza. It was super flavorful with a crunchy crust that was also soft. The buffalo chicken salad was also great. It was really flavorful. It might have been better with blue cheese or blue cheese dressing, but it came with ranch, which was good. The tomatoes weren't good, but that is the only complaint. The guy in the front was rushed and not very nice, customer service could improve. They burnt my calzone and lucky for me I checked before I left, I think they knew but didn't think I'd notice which sucks. but he guy who had to remake it for me was so great. The steak calzone is described as having pieces of steak but instead is made with ground beef which I guess is a cheaper version but not a very good one at all, the calzone ended up being more of a meat pie than calzone, and a rather bland one but my pup enjoyed it. Pizza is extremely good the crust is perfect and toppings are plenty to fill you up the specialty pizzas are epic and worth the extra money! This USED to be my go to take out place. Tonight I'm officially done. The past few times I've BEEN very disappointed with my orders. I order something and it says black olives and I get green. Big difference, if I want black then tell me you are out don't give me something else. They taste different. Ruined my pizza. Tonight I order the Primavera wrap. It comes with grilled onions roasted peppers, broccoli, artichoke hearts, black olives, iceberg lettuce. I get what is pictured below lettuce, feta cheese, black olives, and raw red onion. ..and that's it. Cold. The Primavera is supposed to be a hot sub. THEN I speak to them at 7:30PM and I'm very agitated at 8:30PM when my replacement sub hasn't arrived AND I'm told he had to make 8 other deliveries???
