My name is Chaim More, Hello, I was a loyal BMW & Mercedes customer for years. I was checking around for a Corvette. My research took me over a year and a half . Finally I found, out of my State (MD) a nice dealership, so I thought. I was happy to drive 6 hours to pick up the car because the people I would be dealing with sounded fair and nice. Everything we agreed upon: 1) after I gave $500 deposit , the car that I bought would be put into a building. Also it would be cleaned. I bought a Corvette Z51 LT3, 2015. For $50,000. 2)the dealership agreed to make sure the tires would be in good condition with threading. 3)a compression test was to be performed on the car before my arrival. 4)a new battery, oil change & filters change, & tune up. When I called the dealership before I came to the Ohio dealership, they assured me that everything thing was done. That the car was ready to go. January 24th, @ 5am, We left Baltimore. I called the dealership that we were on our way in our rental car. I also called the day before. When I arrived there at 12 noon, I was dumbfounded to find my car still on the lot. The for sale sign still on it. The car wasn't ready to go, as per our prior agreement. I saw that the front tires were totally bald with a bump on them. The car was missing a tow hookup. It did not hav the original Corvette carpets. The oil change wasn't done. No sing of any oil change being performed on the car recently. There was no paper to show a compression test was ever done, and the dealership wasn't willing to do any. They told me that they lost the second key for the car. We waited 5 hours for the dealership to do anything to close this deal. I came with a cashier check ready in hand & proof of insurance. They went to lunch, and put in their 2-cents worth of advice-"why I couldn't find the same car in Baltimore!?" In the mean time the clock was ticking and the weather has got worse. The snow was coming down promising to get worse. We needed to get started on our way back home quickly. They told me about the tires, the oil and the compression test, that they weren't going to do anything about those things. Even though they told me over the phone that all was done and good with the car. I received a piece of paper that was an IOU- a spare key, tow connection, & the piece for the windshield wipers. Today is March 23rd, after several phone calls, still no sign of the items. Our conclusions are as fallows. This dealership (HOMETOWN Chevrolet , 501 W Emmitt Ave, Waverly, Ohio) obviously doesn't need future business from on anybody. Their phone # 740-947-2104. The salesman was Matt McAllister, Matt the manager was also involved.

BUYER BEWARE!!! These people are being very deceptive & braking the law. They're using "Bait &…read moreSwitch" & False Advertising tactics to deceive people into either coming or calling to sell cars! I was looking for a car & seen a good deal obviously found out it was to good to be true when I gave them my information & started to inquire about the car. They had a 2019 Dodge charger R/T with a sales price of $13,000. So when I asked if it was available I received a text message that the price was $18,000. I then called because of the obvious confusion and I also live two hours away from the dealership. I wish I could give you the audio to this call. I asked about the car & the polite girl on the other side of the phone just says yes that's the price. I then told her about the text I got & the fact that I'm driving 2 hours to look at this car so I wanted to double check before I leave. She then says well that's the down payment not the actual price. They informed me that the $13,000 is a down payment and the actual price is around $32,000! It's actually wild to me that these types of dealerships get away with what they do & I'm currently looking into reporting them because I don't care what loophole they're using, simply lying is unacceptable in business!

The price online was listed at $5000 for a particular car I was looking for. I got cash out,…read moreheading to them about 200 miles away only to find out in talking with them the DOWN PAYMENT is $5000. The out the door price was over $11,000!! Nowhere did it say a down payment. How really shitty of them.
