We attended our first auction ever at this location. What began as a fun evening quickly devolved…read moreinto a completely unnecessary embarrassment. We did our best to figure out the process and selected items prior to the auction we were interested in. We bid (and won) what we thought was one thing but turned out not to be what we expected. Instead of speaking about it with us personally, we were called out and embarrassed in front of the entire group in attendance. The owner grabbed one of the items back from us and said he would just auction it off again. We were told by the girl at the registration desk to go into a small room off the side to find the items we had won. Then we were yelled at to get out of that very room by the owner. Furthermore we were told we had lied about what we had told them when we went to pick our items up and pay for them. All of this was due to miscommunication and should have been handled in a more professional manner on their part. We felt all they cared about was moving merchandise and not the customers. That's fine. There are plenty of antique stores and auction houses that we will gladly spend our money in, however we will never spend another penny in this place. We left feeling completely mortified, insulted, and embarrassed. That is not the way to attract and retain repeat customers. It is also a surefire way to lose a potential client. There was an item in particular that drew us to this auction, but we were also looking for an auction house to sell many items belonging to a client of ours. What amounted to a $35 item in dispute lost them thousands of dollars in potential sales from what we thought we may allow them to sell. We are now exploring other options for our client. This was our very first auction experience, and it went just ad as it possibly could.

Wow, I don't know what's happening over there in Hixson, Tn but it isn't good customer service…read more They make it impossible to bid at auction. They don't have amazing pieces to begin with but against my better judgment I set my eye on one very inexpensive piece and I registered to bid way in advance of the auction date. When the auction date arrived I had still not been approved. I emailed the morning of auction for approval update and they say you need to participate in 30 auctions and buy 2 things before you can even begin bidding, but offered an initial threshold of $500 to which I replied "fine, I wasn't planning to bid that high on this piece" (est at $300). No reply since. They aren't open on the weekends so the phone number available was useless. I've emailed every hour on the hour practically and no response. My bidding status is still "pending" and the auction is well underway. I then did a bit more research on their business practices at auction and did not like what I saw via reviews on Invaluable and the like. So, Clements family keep your lousy wares. My time is more valuable. I will stick w my NY auction houses, thank you very much. Way better pieces, higher quality in selections, and in customer service. They actually want to sell something.

When I asked for a refund, they declined. I'm very disappointed. They are not professional people, and they are rude. The moment I had them in hand, I knew they were fakes that had been beat up and intentionally conditioned to give the impression that they are genuine antiques. I felt like a fool when I scrolled back and saw months of previous auctions with literally 500+ porcelain and tin advertising signs, some exceptionally rare, and all with similar rust and dings. ALL ARE FAKE... EVERY SINGLE ONE. I couldn't believe it. Please contact the consumer protection office of Georgia and file complaints as I did. This is a big operation of making fakes and some are bringing $1500+ each. More than enough for these folks to go to jail or at least have civil claims against them. Of course, Live Auctioneers, the online venue, gives them cover and allows for dozens of fake reviews to obscure the growing number of genuine negative reviews-- all of which seem to be generated by folks who bought some of the fake porcelain signs. Theft in plain sight is taking place at Heritage "Antiques."
