I called Drew back to go over the report and he and his family were having a Christmas celebration. Now, it was not Christmas Day, but this was the day they were celebrating. Drew insisted on go over my report and answering all my questions. I had a problem, not related to the inspection, a few weeks later and Drew took time to help and resolve the problem. He did not have to do that. These are the people you want for a home inspection. You will feel like they are on your side!

I was very pleased with the professionalism, timeliness, cost, and overall knowledge of this company and its inspector. It was very easy for me to request an appointment online and then I received a return phone call to setup an appointment that very day. The cost was very reasonable and I did not feel pressured to add on a bunch of services that I did not feel was necessary. I was booked for an appointment within the same week. When attending the inspection I found the inspector to be extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful in making sure I understood everything he was checking for and everything that needed repairs and also was given a nice estimate as to what those repairs might cost me. This allowed me to make a well educated decision regarding the home purchase. I also was given a very clear electronic copy of my report with plenty of pictures referring to everything that was inspected. Overall, I was very pleased with this company and inspector and would definitely recommend them to others.

We had an agreed upon time (which I took time off work) and four minutes before they were suppose to arrive, I received a text message they would be two hours late. After waiting two and a half hours, I contacted them and was told an emergency job popped up. We agreed to reschedule. They didn't arrive for the second agreed upon time and after waiting fifteen minutes I contacted them and was told there were two jobs ahead of me and they would let me know the ETA. I never heard back from them. This company is not serious about their commitments. I am very disappointed I allowed myself to be taken advantage of more than once.

He took the time to do a careful inspection and create a full report, and then he walked us through every item and invited questions. His inspection report becomes a tool for the buyer in negotiating the sale as well as a game plan for repairs and upgrades. Every corner, appliance, under eave, rooftop line, garage rafter, under sink pipe, conduit, plug and wire is checked out (except as weather prohibits - he does not check the A/C in winter). He will also conduct a Radon test. I felt tremendous confidence in Jim's experience and opinion as expressed through the report -- a feeling that has been sustained by the respect we felt from contractors brought in to make repairs. I liked that Jim differentiates between items that are marginal and could be addressed later, and items that are definite hazards needing immediate attention. This really helped in budgeting repair funds. One small thing - Jim speaks in a booming voice that is helpful when several people are walking through but can be a bit overwhelming in small spaces for those of us on the ASD spectrum. Overall, I wouldn't work with anyone else. Bringing on Jim for your home inspection is an investment that will pay off many times over.
