Gavyn and Alan came out to my house twice for the quote and spent a significant amount of time…read moredoing a thorough analysis of my situation. As soon as weather permitted, they installed a couple window wells and fixed the grading along one wall of my house over the course of a weekend. They also extended and buried one of my gutters to ensure that water was in fact flowing far away from my foundation. Living on clay soil, this meant that I went from having a babbling brook in my basement during rainstorms, to no water coming in at all. It's been a huge relief, and I'm incredibly grateful to the both of them for their considerate and honest assessment and resolution of the issues I was having. Should I need to do any similar projects, I won't hesitate to call Gavyn.

I recently had a drain field fail, & thought I was going to need a whole new septic system. Modern came up with an excellent alternative that saved me a lot of money, and solved the problem. WIN/WIN!!! I really appreciated the fact that they looked at alternatives that were less costly, when they could have made a lot more money. Modern's staff is wonderful - Amanda is a sweetheart, Michael is really nice & easy to work with, as are all of the other staff that showed up. I can't recommend this business enough. Family owned & operated for many years, they stand by their work, they work with YOU, & they're just truly wonderful people. I'll be asking them to hook us up to the city sewer system when needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Their price was one of the two best bids I received, which was hundreds less than others. Some other contractors didn't even bother returning my calls, or they took a week to respond. Paul showed up on the scheduled day with the proper equipment and with workers. He had a septic delivery scheduled and an inspection time set. They worked very fast. Some told me it would be a 2 day job. Paul was done and passed inspection before 5:00. I would certainly use them again. The only snag was that they chopped into my well line. That cost me 180.00 to fix. It would have been nice if they had done something for me on that. But like they said, it shouldn't have been there and they didn't know it was there.
