But that's not what I'm writing to you about -- I'm writing because shopping at your store was a great experience! ...from the moment we stepped through the door of Guff and were greeted (by Schroeder) to being assisted with checking out the table/being shown how the drop leafs work (by Schroeder) to paying for the table and a couple of ceramic cups and saucers (the latter just having arrived/but Schroeder looked them up/"no problem") to having our table prepped for pick up (by Paul and Schroeder) to being greeted the next day with a smile (by Paul) to the assist with the table being lifted into the back of our SUV (by Paul) ...it could not have been a better experience!! They have a good range of lower-end to very high end products. You can customize your furniture to meet your needs. For tables you can choose leg style, size, colour, etc. For couches there are tons of styles and an overwhelming amount of fabric choices. There are also lots of bedroom pieces, dining cabinets, chairs and bar stools. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. I've asked them some pretty detailed questions and they've been able to help me every time. Their prices are already very competitive for the quality they offer and they usually have even better discounts on their floor models. The current promotion is no tax on certain pieces. When the staff saw us looking through the book they helped us, but not in a pushy commission-earning sort of way. We ended up not finalizing our order elsewhere, as Joshua Creek was extremely helpful in helping us match chairs to our server and dining table. They not only explained how the ordering worked, but looked at our samples to suggest the best way to ensure we were able to match our maple and cherry furniture to our new chairs. The great thing too was we did not have to waste time and haggle on price. We had price shopped the Handstone chairs in numerous places and pricing varied greatly, and we were offered an extremely competitive and reasonable price right away. Our chairs arrived and were excellent, except for one. The stain and grain was substantially different. Joshua Creek took this as an opportunity to earn our loyalty in the future. Not only did they acknowledge the issue, but they picked up, sent back, and re-delivered a proper and fixed chair. In this day and age I find stellar service is hard to find, and it was great to have this taken care of. Although 6 chairs is not a big purchase compared to what some may buy, I appreciate they treated me as a valued customer and went above and beyond. I was extremely impressed to the point of deciding to write a review. I will certainly come back, if not for the quality then for the excellent customer service offered. I was at HomeSense 7575 Weston Road Woodbridge today at 7pm. A dog pooped on the floor by Gallery…read moreisle. 3 people almost stepped on it. I advised the cashier there's poop on the floor. 10 minutes passed, it was still on the floor. I advised another staff member who rudely responded to me and said "I know I know, we've already been told" then turned her back to me. I told her I'm trying to be nice and helping them avoid avoid a situation where people would step on it. She responded and was rude about it again. I asked to speak with a manager I was told the manager is on break. I walked away. Another 5 minutes passed same girl and the assistant manager proceeded to clean the poop. As they walked by I said "it's about time somebody attended to it." The assistant manager rudely responded, we didn't know and was very confrontational. I said I reported twice, how do you not know. I asked to speak to a manager above her, I was then told that there is no manager on duty. I left and called the store (905) 850-8131, the assistant manager answered. I asked to speak to a manager, she told me that no manager tonight and for the rest of the weekend. After a few words back and forth she hung up on me, accused me of being rude to her and her staff. I called back again, she was rude and she hung up again. Not very good customer service at all after trying to help them prevent customers from stepping on dog poop. I'll be reporting this to Corporate office.
