Homesense had the mirror I was looking for. Eyra and Mariam were so helpful and full of personality.

I have a 6 year anniversary coming up and the traditional gift is iron. I got online around 8 p.m…read more on Sunday, January 5, 2025, to look for a gift. I ran across Nightingale Metal Design and liked what I saw, so I ordered an item. At 2 a.m. (six hours later) I woke up and realized the item I ordered wasn't metal. I immediately sent them and email and stated I needed to cancel the order. At 8:39 a.m., I got an email from Amy Rullo asking if she could help me with the order. I said, again, I needed the order cancelled. At 1:28 p.m., I received an email stating the order was almost ready and providing a button for tracking the package. A second email came in at 1:32 p.m. that stated delivery date was January 9. The money for the item came out of my bank first thing this morning. When I posted my first review of them on Google, I received a call from Amy Rullo at 2 p.m., stating that I didn't explain in my cancellation request email, like I did in the review, as to why I wanted to cancelled the item l I told her I did not need to explain my why. The fact that I requested the cancellation, not once, but twice, should have been sufficient enough. She said she had really wanted to know how she could help. I told her my explanation of how she could help was by cancelling the order. She was insistent that she could have helped me if I had just let her know. (She couldn't turn her metal into iron), although she told me it "looked like iron." She accused me of bashing them/her on Google. I didn't bash on Google. I spelled it out chronologically as I did in the beginning of this review. She also told me that my product had not been cut yet. Really? I had received two emails that indicated it was on its way. The second email had an outline of a truck on it, along with that delivery date stated above, and the money was taken out of my account, "because I placed the order" said Amy. I am not used to companies taking money just because an order was placed. I'm used to companies taking money once the product ships.

Since my last review Dishfunctional moved from a warehouse type space to a retail strip mall…read morelocation in nearby Frazier. Their WC space had been sold and was being torn down. FDC and I were in the area so we decided to check out the new digs. The shopping center it's located in is large and has ample free lot parking. The space is bright and open. What we noticed was a change - in the old location there were rows and rows of shelves, with dishes organized by pattern or color. If you were hoping to find a replacement for a broken plate in your pattern, or to add to your set, you could easily do that and chances were, they'd have your pattern even if it was passed down from your great grandmother, who brought it with her to the New World. In the new space there was thoughtful merchandising of items, displayed in settings with style groupings but not necessarily patterns. Saw some patterns scattered in different places, like Kings Crown Ruby Stained goblets. I get it, they compliment lots of styles. Finding 5 of them may involve hunting. The store is lovely and well displayed. We found inspiration and were charmed. It's still a great store, it's more though general shop for amazing dishes and such and less looking for an item in a pattern. In its former format, Dishfunctional filled a need no one else had. Now it's just shopping for cool stuff. We'll still visit, my dish loving heart weeps though for what was lost when some real estate developer decided what West Chester really needed was more "luxury condos" on a semi-industrial area. One other thing - they still have a robust eBay presence so if you are looking for a specific pattern or style, check there. Also Alfred has an encyclopedic knowledge, so ask him about what you are looking for - or if you want to know more about a gorgeous bowl- if he's there.
