In addition, we updated the cabinets & countertop, removed a decorative wall to enlarged the restroom. The renovation WAS PAINLESS, took about five days start to finish. The workers were professional , on schedule, and kept out of my way. They kept the area tidy and every day before they left they swept-up and removed the trash. I am very happy with the results. They finally fixed it the day that i moved out. I was constantly harassed. They tried to force me to pay a fine for cigarette butts being outside on the ground (WHICH I DO NOT SMOKE) the ceiling fan fell on my 1 year old and they told me that he "WAS PULLING ON IT" remind you he COULDNT EVEN REACH IT, every since i let them know about that they have been trying every way to get me out of there. The manager JayJay told me "WELL WHY DONT YOU JUST MOVE" very rudely when i mentioned about the heat, air and hot water not working. She been staring me down every time i walk out my house and she see me. She even watched me from her apartment which was by the trash can. They refused to give me corporate number. I couldn't have company without them assuming they was living there. They would take pictures of everyone that park and come into my home. They came in freely when they please. One day i was laying on the couch and one of them UNLOCKED MY DOOR WITHOUT KNOCKING, luckily i had the top lock on as well, they couldn't get through so after they started knocking HARD. It's so much with them. Everything seem good until you actually move in. AVOID THIS PLACE there are other places in Conroe. I now live in a beautiful 3 bedroom apartment for the same price BUT A WHOLE LOT BIGGER, I'm not being harassed about company, everything in my home is working properly and i don't have to worry about no one walking in my home without permission. In following the tradition of #1,000 and #2,000, it's a significant one: our home. If you had told me a couple of years ago, that I would be living in Montgomery, Texas, I never would have believed you. I grew up in Friendswood and had spent the last 15 years in Tampa. My wife grew up in Spring and moved to Tampa one year after I did. We met in Florida and both thought it was just the greatest place ever. Every time we'd come back to Houston to see family over the holidays, we both complained about it the entire time. When we'd like back at TPA, we'd breathe a sigh of relief. For years, we would try to convince our family and friends to join us, but no one ever did. And then we had a child. And then my wife joined me in the remote work force. Suddenly, we needed a larger house. And we wanted to live in a neighborhood with amenities for our son to enjoy. We looked in the Tampa Bay area for months, but just couldn't really find a good fit. So we, reluctantly, considered Houston. I took a trip to drive through every corner of the metro and look at various neighborhoods. We considered Sugar Land, Katy, Cypress, Kingwood and the Woodlands. My wife then took a trip of her own, and discovered Woodforest. It was hard to gauge from afar, because most of it is not available to see on Google Street View. And we weren't too keen on it because most of the neighborhood does not feed to schools with great ratings and it's wayyyy out in the suburbs. But after she checked it out, she knew it was the one. And from everything she told me + the photos/videos she sent, I agreed. We zero'd in on it and then I took a second trip to check out a couple of houses, one of which, we eventually came to call home. Other than the aforementioned location being so far away from humanity, living here is great. I think there are like 17 parks, most of which have playgrounds. We pretty much live at the pool all weekend in the summer. It's of a similar quality of a resort hotel pool with multiple water slides, volleyball, basketball, etc. There's also a lap pool next door and they are building a third pool to open in the summer of 2023. I walk the dog every day and the scenery is so pleasant with plenty of tree coverage. I do wish that all of the houses had sidewalks so we never had to walk in the street, but I'm sure our taxes would be higher if they had to put in sidewalks. But there are plenty of sidewalks all throughout the main sections of the neighborhood. The neighborhood events are pretty lackluster compared to what we envisioned when we moved here. But to be honest, we have enough things to do as it is. Overall, we love living here and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Woodforest for copying all of the things that were done so well in the Woodlands, but with a much newer and more modern style!

Unfortunately, the location of our home turned out to be a nightmare in the end. The neighbors are WAY too close, and I mean ALL of them on every side. I am very social and friendly when appropriate, but personally, I am more private when it comes to my home/family/personal space. The people are like animals and act entitled to your property and personal business. So much rude and intrusive questioning and someone is always trying to stir up some kind of drama via Facebook, gossiping, etc. very gang-mentality type of environment. When someone has a problem, for example (this is real), someone's dog barks too To many times or someone has to park on the street in front of their house because there's no driveway space. Normal everyday occurrences would upset certain people and they would blast you on the neighborhood FB page instead of just either letting it go or talking to the neighbor directly if it's REALLY THAT SERIOUS... There are a lot of people who I would say this is their only chance in life to live this kind of "lifestyle" and the overall energy is high school. Lots of passive-aggressive, gossiping, turning against one family, gate-keeping opportunities like sports for kids. Also, if anything happens, just general everyday life mistakes, the gossip will follow and harass your kids at the school. There's a very odd and eerie energy in that place. I was never able to relax, feel comfortable, or feel like I owned my own home! The one uppers, someone's always trying to sell you something $$$ rude and weird unfriendly behavior from other's when I would take my kids to the park to meet people. Everyone is always drinking and flying around recklessly on those stupid golf carts. Overall, we were never initially properly welcomed to the neighborhood, just scavengers demanding our moving boxes to pack for their daughter's college... never even said thank you... we could have re-sold those moving boxes. To piggyback off of the A H., I agree with you 100% I saw 2 little spotted brand new baby deer someone hit and killed in our neighborhood because these assholes with huge trucks drive so fast down the main exit... I mean the speed limit is 25MPH... they manage to kill 2 baby deer. It was really disturbing to see because one of the main attractions for us was the blessing of living around wildlife. ...oh and I forgot to mention, there's also a really weird secret married swinger vibe around some of the people that live there. Lastly, it was a total financial gain for us because we bought at a very reduced rate and sold within 3 years and made $150,000, and moved out of there! 1 MORE THING! THE SCHOOLS ARE HORRIBLE! JUST BE PREPARED TO FIGHT FOR YOUR KID TO GET A FAIR SHOT AND OPPORTUNITY LIKE THE REST OF GATEKEEPERS KIDS. My personal opinion would be to find a home in Willis, TX. A 15-20 min. drive north still close to everything, but just far enough away to feel more country and relaxed.

The property is old, built in the 80s, and they are reluctant to do any renovations. Early on, my apartment was flooded twice in two months. Once there was a pipe in the bathroom that ruptured, the second was the kitchen sink pipe that failed. I was displaced from my unit for a little over a week until they could get the unit dried out. I asked at the time if my rent could be adjusted for a few days since I couldn't live there during that time and a lot of my personal property was damaged; the answer was no and I was advised that was why I carried renters' insurance. This was before they provided insurance by the complex. My AC unit needs constant repairs. Since I've moved in, I've had to request AC servicing. First, it was every other month, now it is about every week or ten days it stops cooling. I was offered a $40-a-month discount for being a first responder which has never been applied to my account. I was told that it would have to be manually inputted but I've never seen it reflected anywhere in my rental history. My move-out date is the middle of the month; I was charged the full month's rent that wasn't even my contractual amount and was told that even though they are aware of their mistake I may have to wait until the final walk-through and damage assessment until they can issue me a refund. My resident's portal access had been deleted so I couldn't even see my account or why I was charged so much. I am livid with the whole situation. My daughter lived at Timbers of Pine Hollow. It's less than a mile from here and she paid half the rent for a similar apartment and had better management. Find someplace else to live
