We had beautiful weather and started out going for King Salmon with down riggers. The Deckhand Randy was also good and started out by stating he had "Saved 8 men overboard" & "I got the biggest balls in Homer". We started catching right away and Captain B would come down to net the bigger fish and mutter "Randy.. your a disaster today" I think it was all part of the act! We caught the KING limit and silver limit in no time without losing many fish at all.. maybe it was the walking stick?? Captain B then took us to a beautiful cove.. complete with a BAR to finish the day fishing for Rockfish! They're also knowledgeable about the trails in the area; some are not very well maintained and they will give you a head's up on those.

On our way out Captain Will briefed us, I sat up there to ask questions to see how I can up our odds of catching. I really wanted my kids and wife to catch. The first 10 minutes lines were in the water we were already bent. 100lb halibut, yellow eyes, more halibut and even big lingcod are coming in. All fricken day. What a great time. This may apply for all Homer charters, but it is probably worth checking.
