Nice store, not very big. Had a lot of Halloween decor when we went! Clean and stocked shelves. Staff was friendly when checking us out!

The Good: :: new, modern, clean, outside access. NICE…read more makes for a more pleasant shopping experience :: has lots of stuff like barnes & noble, starbucks, gamestop, ann taylor, new york & company, and a lot more :: sidewalks :: cute exterior decorations with lamps everywhere :: lots of parking :: it's bringing lots of tax revenue into tuscaloosa, where in the past those same dollars went to birmingham or huntsville. yay! The Bad: :: no local businesses have set up shop at this new complex. why is that?! a shame. a damn shame. :: still growing, need more diverse things to encourage more people to shop and dine and relax and enjoy themselves. i'm thinking more cafes, movie theater, etc The Ugly: :: none. Would I go back? Definitely. Every time I go home to visit, my family swings by the stores here b/c it is a lot more fun to shop outside than inside the sad, slowly dying University Mall. This place is IN.

I gotta be honest, Midtown Village just irritates me. The parking, as others have noted, is a…read moreproblem. It's sprawling enough that you may not want to walk from one destination to the next, but parking is quite cramped and hard to come by (good luck parking anywhere near where you want to go), and people tend to drive pretty inattentively, so I feel like I'm taking my life in my hands just by venturing into the parking lot. And, it's generally very twisty turny confusing -- if I'm going someplace I haven't been, it's a challenge finding it without driving all over (see parking lot issues). So I would prefer not to come here, since it's guaranteed to frustrate me. Also, the one time I attempted to use the wi-fi, it was a disaster. If you're going to provide it, make sure it works; otherwise, don't bother. I get that there are a bunch of higher-end stores here and they are trying to be fancy, but jeez. I am not much of a shopper, so I doubt I'll be spending much time in Midtown Village.
