I was here with some avid Target shoppers. This location was lacking to me. Not a lot of inventory or workers. I felt like I worked here as I was checking myself out. Self checkout is cool but sometimes you don't feel like doing it. I didn't didn't particular night. Maybe since this is the only Target in town , this contributed to the lackluster visit. I've always loved Target as a chain for its quality and options compared to Walmart. I'm happy to pay a little extra for the pleasant shopping experience, but unfortunately, that's not the case at the Tuscaloosa location. As a stay-at-home mom, my weekly Target run is one of the few chances I have to unwind--but lately, it's been a source of frustration instead. On multiple occasions, I've experienced terrible customer service from one individual in particular. She's consistently rude, rolling her eyes and speaking curtly to customers, even as she's sweet and almost flirtatious with her coworkers. It's disheartening and, honestly, ruins the experience. I'm determined to find out her name because she really needs to be held accountable for how she treats customers. When I do, I will notify Target on the corporate level, district level, etc. She really brings the quality of the store down. That said, not all is bad. There are some incredibly kind and helpful team members at this store, and I want to especially recognize the security guard at the entrance. He always greets everyone warmly and goes out of his way to make people feel welcome--someone give this man a raise! read more

Since today was black Friday, we decided to come early to get online for the first hundred people that they would get a special bag well unbeknownst to us. They had already handed out so-called tickets and they claimed that over 150 people were here earlier. A woman a pair of blue jeans and a reddish shirt and a black woman came out with an attitude, literally an attitude, and said that information to us when a person in front of me started to ask questions she shut her down very fast and walked that is bad. Customer service first of all we saw nothing in writing that you needed to be here before a certain time in order to get a green type of a ticket Even if you were to show at this something you had in writing I wouldn't believe you could easily alter it and make changes. Let's just say that there were a lot of people around that were extremely literally walked out. I waited to see how many people left and I was one of them. I will now at this point boycott unless you plan to do something about it I only come to this target because my daughter goes to the college now I'm thinking thank God she's graduating and I don't have to be near this target store unless you plan on doing some sort of redemption read more

Okay, the checkout lines are a nightmare, but I had a great experience today. I had shopped in the morning and when I loaded the items into my car, I forgot the large box of diapers in the bottom of my cart. When I got home, I realized my error. I called the store and had to wait a long time before someone answered, but once Jamar answered, he told me they'd check to see if the diapers were in the cart in the parking lot, and even if they weren't, they'd replace them. I drove back about an hour later and went to Exchanges and Returns. The checker told me to go get the diapers. I came back with them, and there now was a long line. When she saw me, she waved me on. "You're good to go." Whew! That would have been an expensive item. Kudos to Target for their customer service. BTW, Target has gotten better and better about food choices. They have lots of more esoteric items -- any thing from Asian sauces to probiotic drops for babies. Well done! read more

The staff is this target treated me like why was in there... so unhelpful. The staff was rude and very dismissive when I asked literally anyone for anything. It all started at the start bucks. The girl gave me a rude look when I asked where my dink was because a family of 6 came in after me, and they started getting their drinks right anyway. She slammed mine down and rolled her eyes... she didn't call my name to let me know it was ready she literally waited for me to ask. Will not be returning. Ever. read more

This 1 hr drive from where my daughter lives were good. I'm a fan of Target and always enjoy walking and browsing. My daughter wanted to go specifically for the $1 section but the shelves were completely empty-everything was already purchased. The store was a bit crowded but that was because of stocking the store with Christmas items. The store was nice and clean, staff was super friendly and helpful. read more

The clothing here is priced the same as you'll find at Belk or any other department store. The store was a mess today. First time to shop here since last year. Everything is changed around. The shoe section needs some tending to. Shows all over the dang floor and for someone with a disability it makes it difficult for me to maneuver. Rude people and entitled people were here today. While I needed a riding cart, I was ok to walk. But there were two well bodied young girls riding all over the store shopping while me along with another lady who clearly needed the riding cart, were struggling. I sat in the car to write this while I watched the two young girls ditch the carts and trot to their cars. Food prices... if you wanna pay more to shop here for the sake of shopping here instead of a cheaper place then go ahead. The aisles are spacious and the shelves are stocked. I'd rather save some cash and shop elsewhere. read more

This store was recently renovated, so it's now got the latest and greatest floor layout, which mainly seems designed to feel "boutique" instead of "warehouse store." On the one hand, it is nice, and the produce in particular is lovely. On the other hand, it's still just Target and I want to buy my essentials and get out. For that reason, I've been ordering online for in store pickup. I like that I don't have to walk around the store picking out my straightforward purchases, but it means dealing with the customer service counter instead. At best, employees there get me my stuff (forget friendly). At worst, last time I sent the husband to pick up my order, they didn't give him everything, instead just asking if it was all there. He didn't order, so how should he know, and seriously, the customer shouldn't have to stand there and check the items against the order list. That kind of undermines whole convenience of pickup! The husband returned a few days later and they gave him the missing item (package of toilet paper), but had no explanation as to why they didn't give it to him in the first place or why it was still sitting in the back with a different name on it. Also, although they have more self check machines than ever before -- I get it, you don't want to have to actually interact with me, and honestly I don't want to interact with you either -- I have consistently had problems paying with my Red Card. The card only has a chip, no magnetic strip, and using it gives me 5% off. So if the chip doesn't read, I have to get someone to help me, and of course there's no explanation as to why the chip isn't working. I even got a new card and still have the same problem. I'll continue to shop here, but I'm keeping Target at arms' length and plan to keep double-checking everything. So good luck, as your mileage may vary. read more

This afternoon was the first time I have ever used any sort of pick-up service from Target. I was surprised as to just how easy it was. I was able to find and purchase my product through the app easily. After purchase, an email was sent and the app also gave very detailed and easy to understand instructions for pick up. When I arrived at the store for pick up, my order was there and waiting. It was great that I didn't have to get out of the car. It was a huge plus that the store employee could place my order in my trunk and me not have to sign for it. Thanks Target for helping this type A girl out! I wasn't happy when I started to open the package of seasoned tilapia I bought on Monday and found that the package had a small cut on one corner, therefore the fish was no good. The filet was actually dry on the end that was near the damaged place on the package. I have a real concern about stores like Target selling food, especially things like meat and seafood. Tuscaloosa Target has got the worst Dollar Spot, AKA Bullseye department that I have ever been in. Always empty shelves and what's there is jumbled. However, full boxes are sitting on floor, with no one unboxing. Drive to McCalla and you will find what you are looking for. Homewood Target is another excellent store. Merchandise is neat and organized. Tuscaloosa Target needs a lot of work. Remodeling improved the ethestics but merchandise is another story. read more

No one greeted us or asked if we needed help and instead the employees were trying to avoid us it seems. I went in Target today and was very disappointed. I had several school supply items with coupons for each one and I was not allowed to use them. I read each coupon to make sure it was valid and it was. The cashier was not nice or helpful, she just was adamant with denying my coupons. I asked to speak with a manager and she wasn't much better. I won't be going back anytime soon with service like that. I know I'm only one person but I have lots of associates. read more

I love coming to the store. It is very clean and full of employees ready to help you out. All the employees carry walkie talkies and if they can't find something they will radio to somebody who may know. When it comes to checking out they are really quick. If the lines start to get long they will radio for more people to come to the front, unlike Walmart. read more

This is a super big Target with 2 entrances. It has a full grocery, with food, produce, frozen, deli and more. It has a starbucks as well. Unlike a lot of the Targets I am used to in Atlanta, this one does feel kind of dated. But i've never had a problem checking out, people are very nice. The store is frequented by A LOT of college kids and sometimes it can be very busy. But since it's only like 200 yards from my pad at the Woodlands I can't complain. But again, it's just another Super Target. read more

This Target has always treated me well and the renovations and new alcohol section are awesome. But I wanted to point something out specially. I'm a Funko Pop collector and today Target just so happened to release several different awesome Target Exclusive pops alongside the NYCC releases. This Target has been the only one I've been impressed with so far on the Funko products. The employees in electronics handles the 10/5 release very well. And even on other days they are very knowledgeable on the product and release dates. Not once have I had them tell me "We have them but can't find them", act sketch about the Pops, or act rude toward me for asking as other day they experience at their Targets. I, myself try to be the respectful, patient, and not untitled collector that have driven some employees into acting a certain way toward the Funko collectors. So again, So much Kudos on this store and the way it handles its Funko releases. They also had more than enough to go around, which is also unlike something I heard from Other Targets. I'll be moving soon, and as a collector, I will Be genuinely sad that this won't be my go-to Target anymore. Thank you Electronics employees. You made my day. read more

The customer service is very poor. In tour mobile dept you only have 2 people working on black friday . People that you have are rude and dont know to do there job. Management was poor and also att went down and the rep working just atop and dont work and do nothing. This is thw poorest service i have ever had and i will not be back.........
