When retail business declines, these companies continue to flourish for a reason, they have an operation, where regardless of city, state, or socioeconomic difference, you can always expect to find quality items at discounted, and/or affordable pieces. Because of the aforementioned, I initially opt to not take a car through the store, knowing that when I do, I'll definitively purchase many more items than intended. Reason- there's always a treasure chest of great finds, and items you forgot you need, want to get, or the price is so reasonable, how could you not purchase the item you're drawn to. The Marshalls and HomeGoods store is divided into one space for the former and the latter. The store is maintained extremely well. The store is clean, add organized, which is often difficult because customers believe they have a sense of entitlement wherever they shop, and whatever they decide they don't want is not placed back where it was found, nor the way it was found (on a hanger, hanging from a display, in the correct aisle, shelf, department, etc.). The store is well lit and spacious. In Marshalls you can find clothes from toddlers to adults of any gender, jewelry, accessories, outerwear, workout essentials, confines, perfumes, shoes, luggage, hair care products and appliances, facial and skincare products, toys, collectibles, sports fan gear, and much more. In HomeGoods, there have seasonal and non-seasonable items well organized and displayed. There's aisles with each of the following, lamps, rugs, furniture, furniture accessories, framed artwork and photos, mirrors, pet supplies, clothes, and accessories, bedding, linens, pillows of all types, sheet sets, comforters, and duvet covers of all sizes, bath products, bath furniture, storage, and accessories. There's bath towels of all sizes, colors, and patterns, washcloths, hand towels, stationary, cleaning products for home and car, cards, gift wrap, bows, ribbons, gift bags, bag accessories, bedroom accessories, chairs, cookware, appliances, states, glassware, accent pieces, laundry items, storage containers, picture frames, cutting boards, tableware, stairwells, oven mitts, serving trays, kitchen utensils, step stools and ladders, teapots, coffee cups, barware, holiday items, books, desks, desk organizers, book ends, vases, accessories for children's and teens rooms, decorative decor from around the world from ceramic to glass to wood, food items, sauces, oils, sweeteners, spices, paperweights, dried fruit, decorative baskets, electronic and mobile phone accessories, beverages, gift cards, holiday outdoor display items, and the list goes on. With an attitude like that, you should NEVER work In retail that involves more customer service period. To management of Ross please improve your hiring and training process. I re opened my Boscov's charge card and got another 15% off my total bill! For $130, I got two brand name pair of jeans, exercise attire, a small leather clutch, and a really nice mid weight Fall sweater material jacket. Today's hi-light was meeting a sweet and stellar cashier who WENT OUT OF HER WAY to get me a cart because she was me piled up and struggling ;) This woman blew me away with her kindness, patience, and genuine interest when talking to her customers. I wish I remembered her name from her store employee tag. (She was a 60 something? black woman with glasses and mid length salt and pepper hair ). To me - the role model and epitome for what cashiers should embody. Deptford Mall really rocks with the anchor department stores of Boscov's, Macy's, and JC Penney's!

Me and my husband came here on Monday 26th Dec as we were looking to purchase a new mattress and box spring. We walked into the store, over to the furniture section and sat on several of the mattresses that were on display as we wanted to see which ones we liked most. My husband went to sit on one of the mattresses and the one whole side of the bed collapsed, he fell into the floor and hurt his left shoulder. Two members of staff looked over at him and saw that he fell but didn't proceed to ask if he was okay. We continued to look at the mattresses and then after a few minutes found one that we wanted to purchase. We could not locate anybody in furniture so we walked up to the front of the store and the cashier (the only nice employee that day) said she would page somebody from furniture and just to wait at the furniture kiosk. As we walked back over there the two employees that saw my husband fall received a page for assistance in furniture. The one employee looked directly at us and said "you guys are gonna have to wait ten minutes because I have to do this" (he was putting together a sign for some kind of promotion). I said okay that's fine, and we walked towards the kiosk... although I'm thinking whatever happened to customer service and customers come first... not after you hang up a sign.. Anyway, the other employee walked over to the kiosk and very abruptly said to us "what do you need" I told her we were purchasing a mattress and box spring and she said "ok do you have the SKU". My husband had taken a picture of the one we wanted so we read the number to her and she said "that's just the box spring". I said "oh well that's the SKU it references for the mattress and box spring set so im not sure" she cut me off and said "which one is it, point to which one" so we shown her. Every time she said anything she was very short and very abrupt. She then asked the size and if we would like to take the mattress and box spring today... we said yes if possible. She then proceeded to say: "Well you guys shouldn't be coming here at 8 o clock at night if you want to do this". I was at a complete loss of how to respond. Firstly, the store says it closed at 10pm that day so me coming at 8pm shouldn't have been an issue. Additionally, my husband works til 7pm six days a week, and we have a five month old baby to take care of... not that I should have to explain that to an employee but okay. She then walked off to the back without saying I'll be right back or giving any information... so me and my husband were just standing there at a loss of what to expect. After ten minutes she comes back and asks the other employee for some assistance. They then went into the back and five minutes later he came out and he said we were going to have to wait again as there was a customer in front us. We said okay and we didn't have trouble or an issue with waiting. After 20 more minutes he came out with the mattress on the cart and my husband pulled the vehicle and trailer up. He wheeled it out and then we said "have a good night" and he didn't say anything back. The customer service we received here is appalling, also my husband now has a shoulder injury. I called the corporate office to inform them of my experience and they said they would reach back out within 48 hours. We are now almost 36 hours in and I haven't received a response. If I do not by tomorrow I will be addressing this issue with a higher level of management.

On Friday, when the status was still the same , I called the customer service number. I was told they would try to contact the warehouse but that the package was waiting to be picked up... which I clearly already knew. I called UPS and was told the sender needed to schedule a pickup and that creating a label does lot do that automatically... which I would assume JC Penny would know. I called the customer service number again and was told that they would look into it and if it was not picked up by Monday to call back to have another one sent. Seriously? So I am still waiting for them to send me my order. Horrible.

I'd probably buy more from the clearance racks if half the time the clothes weren't in the wrong size sections. Be smart and keep an eye for the deals and discounts, which can add up if you are also a holder of their store credit card. The nice thing is that they will let you stack up a good number of discounts on top of each other. Shipping costs are absurd, so I try to order with availability in the store as my top priority. +1 for having sizes for us curvy short gals.
