Good selection of brewing supplies, but the prices are kind of high, especially the carboys. $50 for a 6 gallon carboy? Thats $10 too much. But make sure to double-check any info the owner gives you. I pointed out the bottle filler I had at home and asked for tubing that would fit it and the tubing he gave me totally didn't fit, not even close. Long story short, bottling my beers was a messy, awful affair. When I emailed him to complain he just gave me the runaround and said it was somehow my fault. A simple "oops, sorry", was all I wanted. And the "beer exchange fridge" is kind of odd. You give him two beers and only get to take one since the owner wants to drink one of yours in order to make sure it is worthy of staying in the fridge. I would rather give two different beers, then take two different beers and take my chances that at least one will be good. Overall though, a pretty good homebrew store. Good selection of grain, hops yeast and equipment. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

I attended a two hour home brewing class here and was blown away. The owner, Charlie (along with comrades Dan and Andrew) gave an incredible presentation in a relaxed atmosphere. We sipped various brews and discussed taste profiles, hops, grains - you name it! The guys were so laid back and friendly and answered all of my asanine questions. I bought a home brewing kit and can't wait to get started, even if my first batch turns out looking like the gruel they ate on the ship in The Matrix. If you are even REMOTELY interested in beer, you'd be a fool not to check out this establishment. I'm already looking forward to trying a plethora of recipes and becoming a regular customer here. This place just opened a few months ago in the middle of nowhere, Long Island. I have been to all…read morethree brew shops in Suffolk that I know of and this is the best I have come across so far. They have a large selection of hops, grains, brewing supplies, and yeasts. The prices are fair and the owner will get whatever is needed for local brewers. Karps in Northport is pretty cheap and they are very friendly but brewing is an afterthought there as it is primarily a hardware store. Sometimes they do not have people on staff that know about the brew section. Also it is a bit disorganized and small. Arbor Wine has a very nicely laid out store with even distiller supplies but their prices are about 50% more which makes it prohibitively expensive. Brew and Beyond has large containers of bulk grains and a convenient electric mill to process your grains free of charge. They are in a tough location but people are known to travel long distances for home brew. Please give it a go if you are in the area because it is both good and a small business that is going to need word of mouth to survive.

Homebrew is the focus of the store so he knows it, and knows it well. He fielded nearly 100 questions from me, and explained things he was doing without me asking. Sort of passing on information in a Yoda-like fashion. The service did not stop there. He printed out recipes with the ingredient amounts and emailed me instructions. I received tips on clubs around the island for homebrewers to join and learn more. Lastly on brew day I emailed him questions, called him and he gave me every pointer he could. If you are a homebrewer, this is where you should shop for your supplies!
