My experience is wonderful currently staying and the views from our room are spectacular. Clean and quiet. In door pool, gym, washing machines downstairs. Snacks for sale on site. The waffles made to order. The breakfast is continental. But you have several eatery's nearby. Walking distance. The only thing we could improve on would be the Cleaning of air vents. (I'm a little picky) when I see that I think hmmm.. the staff who book an extra night for me when I was told last minute on a Saturday construction would be done were amazing. Extra tooth brushes etc You do have to request hskp. Since Covid the staff won't enter into your room unless you request. The checkers should explain that to first time guests to place trash can outside the door the empty it .we are regulars and have stayed here several times during my homes construction. read more

Thank you for the great stay here! Out of the three places we stayed during our trip to southern California this was our favorite one. Parking is free! This property opened in late September and it still looks and smells new. The bed was so comfortable I slept peacefully. The king suite with lake view has the view of the country club's golf course. See picture. The room was spacious. I liked the long counter space which allowed us to put our stuff down and not feel cluttered or feel like there isn't any room to put your things on. Yes the closet isn't your standard closet with a door. They do give you a curtain to at least cover your clothes. It's cute and great way to maximize space in the room. The fridge is big and allowed for us to buy big jugs of water. The complimentary breakfast was different than other places. They don't have warm dishes. You pick out the bowl of food you want and it has a number on it. You pop it in the microwave and press the number on the package. The potatoes and sausage mix was good. The seasoning on it was delicious. The next day it was a turkey breakfast sandwich that was ok. It can get pretty packed in the area. I want to say I only saw six microwaves. This was a different experience since it wasn't the standard warm breakfast, but I'm sure the staff prefers it this way from having to bring out food that may go to waste. Good idea! The staff was amazing. Even the housekeeping staff was helpful and friendly. Everyone was very welcoming. Don't be alarmed that you have to go through a gate to get into the country club/hotel area. read more

We stayed here for 5 nights this month. The hotel is new like. There is lots of free parking around the hotel and underground parking. If the parking is full you can always park on the street. There is the golf course construction across the street from the front of the hotel. We didn't see or hear anything from our room since it was south facing. The hotel is close to Universal Studios, Santa Monica and the to the many Monterey Park restaurants. Very convenient location. We stayed on a 8th floor facing south. We were looking towards some grassy area and North Garfield Ave. The room was quiet, clean and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped. We hardly heard any noise at all very quiet where we were. There were 3 fast elevators that required your room card to go to your floor. The breakfast had a good selection of items to chose from. There was a waffle station at the bar area across from the eating area. The staff will make your waffle for you and then call out your name when it is ready. The staff were always friendly and attentive. When I checked in staff said since I was a Silver Hilton Honors member that I get 2 free bottles of water and a snack. That was nice ! Our room had housekeeping services each of the days that we were there (changed towels, empty trash, gave more toilet paper, etc). On the 4th night housekeeping changed the bed sheets, made the bed etc. Staff were polite and courteous at all times. The laundry room was located in a separate room inside the gym/spin cycle room. There were 2 washers and 3 dryers working. The machines take $1 in quarters. The wash took 30 min and dryer was 45 min. The laundry hours are 24/7. One washer was not working. The liquid detergent you can buy near the front desk. I would definitely recommend staying here. read more

Great place to stay. Easy to find as it's near a freeway but not right next to it like many hotels. The view of the golf course's pond is relaxing. The fact that they're pet friendly is why we've stayed there twice and about to stay a third time. The building is kept very clean and all the staff are friendly. The free breakfast is better than a simple continental breakfast that includes a heartier per-made egg meal option, either a egg muffin sandwich or a egg scramble. There is oatmeal which is sometimes a bit dry but easily remedied with adding hot water and milk. The fresh waffle station is a hit. Their convenience store has decent grab and go meals as well. read more

My favorite hotel in Los Angeles! I stay here every time I have to visit Downtown for work. It's slightly out of the way of the heart of the city and tucked away into a guarded side street of Montebello so it's quiet and safe. Free parking is a huge plus! Near a big park and surrounded by a golf course, it's a little green oasis in the city. Huge rooms with kitchens, a pool and hot tub, and a fitness center with a Peloton, my favorite. I always travel for work to NorCal and SoCal. I recently discovered Home2 by Hilton. This hotel met my exceeded my expectations. Clean and spacious rooms. There was an office desk, coffee maker, and a bigish fridge. I am supposed that some people mentioned good breakfast. When I was there I my breakfast experience wasn't that great. It was a tiny space where you just pick up a drink and one microwaved item, so a coffee and a bagel or muffin. Hoping next time I'll have better luck with the breakfast options. read more

Beware that unless you are a corporate customer at this hotel, reservations and even check-in are subject to overbooking and management cancellation without warning. Doesn't matter if you are Hilton Honors member. We reserved 2 rooms including a double queen. Checked in virtually and chose our rooms. Once we arrived we were told they gave our double queen away because a corporate group needed more rooms. We were stuck with a single bed and pull out full size couch with that notorious metal bar in the middle that makes sleep painful and difficult. Asked for bedding for the couch and it took three calls to get it. Completely unprofessional to favor business/group travelers to this degree. I would avoid. read more

Dog friendly hotel. A lot of options available for their breakfasts. Small fenced in "dog run" for your fur babies. A decent hill and area to walk to for some exercise up to the Armenian Martyr Memorial. Room was stocked with plenty of towels but non specifically for the kitchen. Kitchen area with fridge/freezer, microwave, and sink is plenty to get by if you want to stay in and make a few smaller healthy meals in the microwave. Neighbors can be a bit loud and don't always clean up after their fur babies. Large common area outside for BBQing and gym has access to Pelaton bikes and Concept 2 rowing machines. I did not partake in the pool, gym, or outdoor common area. Take one exit down off of Paramount and there's more "chain" restaurants. read more

This is the worst experience we ever have at a Hilton and I am a diamond member. This place is NOT CLEAN! There are fleas flying around in the shower, probably from the shower drain. There are molds in the soup dispenser. We informed the front desk for couple days, nothing has been done. So much for the commitment to cleanliness! After 2 months of staying here, I feel I'm a reliable source of insight into the quality of this hotel. First of all, "hotel" is much too generous a term. This is motel quality with a nearly $300 a night price tag. All of the good reviews seem to be from people who had stayed no more than a couple of nights. Maybe if you're staying for a night or two you won't run into issues, but this is an extended stay hotel and if you plan on staying for anything longer than a week, I'd rethink that. I don't even really know where to begin because there is so much wrong with this place. Most importantly, hotel is filthy. Upon checking in, I had to change rooms 3 times due to the lack of cleanliness of the rooms; the third room wasn't clean either, but it was the cleanest of the 3 and I didn't want to risk changing a 4th time and then ending up with something even worse. The second room smelled like moldy rotting water and had what looked like... *ahem* biological splatters on the ottoman. So yeah, I settled for 3rd room. I spent a whole day deep cleaning it because it was clear housekeeping wasn't getting the job done. The pull out sofa in my room looks repulsive and is so stained and I can't even imagine having to sleep on it, so thank goodness it's just me and I get the bed. I have two duvets thrown over the sofa just so I can sit on it. Bedding and towels have been dirty damn near EVERY single time I've requested them. I once got a duvet with a fresh brown stain on it that looked like literal shit. If the linens aren't dirty or stained, they have holes/really bad snags and look like they've been passed down from 4 generations of families. And the towels are so rough and hard they feel like sandpaper. The shower also sucks so bad. The water pressure is non-existent and the showerheads are so full of calcium and mineral deposits (again housekeeping sucks) you get a trickle, good luck feeling clean. There are no shelves or anywhere in the shower to put your toiletries other than on the floor. My family in one of the other rooms said they have small bugs that jump out of the drains. The bathroom doors don't lock, or even fully close. It's a sliding barn style door, which is directly across from the kitchen area, so the toilet is like 4 feet from the kitchen sink. There are tons of bad architectural/design choices like that. Like my "closet" for instance. I can only use about 40% of my closet because on one side an iron and ironing board takes up room and on the other side there's a weird part of the wall that juts inward and prevents me from hanging anything there. Noise level of hotel is HIGH, be prepared to hear doors slamming all night and super early in the morning, and housekeeping especially is LOUD. They don't give af and you will wake up to the sound of clanking dishes and them aggressively slamming doors. They also don't speak English so whenever I need supplies, they don't understand what I'm asking for so I have to call the front desk; not only does that take forever to get things run up to the room, but every time I ask for supplies, they always forget something or don't bring the quantity I requested. Every. Single. Time. I asked once, "Can you please write this down just because every time I ask for supplies, something is missing." And was met with a snarky tone, "Yeah, we write everything down, it's our job." Ok... well you're doing a poor job then. Half the time they don't even bring the correct size bedding for the room. So you have to call down again, and wait again for the correct items to be brought up. The amount of time I've wasted in this place waiting for something to be brought up to the room due to their carelessness or negligence is WILD. Be warned, windows in the room don't open and people are constantly smoking both weed and cigarettes so when that gets in your room it's super fun because you have no way of airing it out, whether it's in the elevators, parking garage, or hallways... there just always seems to be a steady smell of smoke in this place. Staff doesn't enforce designated smoking areas either so there are always people smoking in the patio areas and right next to the entrances and exits. Fire alarms have gone off twice since I've been here and staff doesn't even bother using the intercom to let guests know it's a false alarm (people smoking inside). Oh and the electricity has also gone out as well on two separate occasions. There is heavy construction going on in front of the hotel which starts promptly at 7am which only adds to the noise level. **(apparently I've just hit my word limit, so see photos for the rest, if you're interested. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We are staying here for 60 nights (2 months) for corporate housing purposes, in a 1-bedroom suite. Despite Hilton (corporate)'s promises of improved sanitation, cleaning and hygiene during the pandemic and pandemic recovery, I find the hygiene and cleanliness of this property to be completely inadequate and unacceptable. Furthermore, management here seems to care little about making improvements or not making the same mistakes over and over again. The hallways (common areas that are carpeted) constantly smell like trash. Our room we were assigned was absolutely, horrifyingly filthy. So filthy that I could feel the stickiness on the floors. On our second night, I brought my own Swiffer WetJet mop, Mr Clean eraser sponges, and disinfecting wipes to clean down the whole room. The floors required numerous changes of the mop pad in order to become decently clean. I don't think housekeeping has ever mopped t he floors here. I had to sponge down all the walls in the kitchen and dining area to remove food stains and caked-on food. I sanitized every touchable surface. Not only the filth, but furniture is damaged and I also question the safety here. Multiple huge tears in the sofa upholstery. Plastic grocery bag affixed to the master bedroom smoke detector (which we called down for maintenance to promptly remove). Light fixtures not working upon check in. Once I got the place to an acceptable level of clean, we also started having problems with housekeeping. With Covid restrictions, we are limited to only pre-scheduled housekeeping visits where we must vacate the room, which I totally support and understand. However, our appointment is weekly, and with that I would expect housekeeping to pay extra close attention since they aren't able to come as often. Sadly, that is not the case here. On our housekeeping days, the housekeepers usually decide that they will only swap out towels, do a quick vacuum and take out trash. They skip changing bedding, cleaning bathrooms, and doing any kitchen clean up. This is despite Home2Suites supposing to be a full service hotel. I have called front desk to complain 3 times now about the incomplete service, and yet still nothing seems to ever improve. Breakfast service - weekdays is supposed to be from 6-9am. However at 8:50 am, the staff regularly decides to throw out all the food and coffee, despite hungry guests still lining up. I would never, ever recommend this property to anybody. In fact, my best friend is visiting town soon and inquired about my experience here, and I have already told her not to bring her family to this property. Horrible service, lazy staff. The floor we stayed at (7th floor) was full of cigarette smoke in the hallways. This was the first day. On the 2nd day, not only it was full of cigarette smoke, but also a strong smell of Weed!!! Someone was smoking weed INSIDE the building! There were signs everywhere saying non-smoking, but still, it smelled disgusting. We had 3 young kids with us and smelling weed was NOT ACCEPTABLE. Needed to leave my home for repairs and what was supposed to be one week, needed up being almost two. But what made the whole experience okay was being at this hotel. This was the first place I found that not only allowed my fur baby but also had a full kitchen! Complete with refrigerator, sink, dish washer, toaster, plates, cutlery AND a hot plate with a pan for cooking my own meals! Stayed in a room with a picture window overlooking the golf course across the street. Such a beautiful view and my fur baby enjoyed sitting there for hours watching the ducks. Quiet and secluded area, which offered a small park just up the hill and a small fenced in area where my fur baby could enjoy time outside off leash. Staff was friendly, I was able to have food deliveries or receive packages due to the extended stay. On-site self washer/dryers and the housekeeping manager, Ish, was so helpful with accommodating additional bedding due to allergies! Perfect desk area for working needs as well. Comfortable seating and large TV. Would definitely stay again! read more

If you like: lukewarm showers, having to ask for more toilet paper THREE TIMES in one day before you are given any, for the room to not be stocked upon your arrival, and non friendly front desk staff then this hotel just might be the place for you! The shower is the worst. The water temp is barely warm! There was no soap upon our arrival to the room. We had to ask for more toilet paper from the super "BLAH" front desk staff three times (each time a different staff member) before we finally got some. Also the lights in the "kitchen" area randomly turn off and on. The electrical plug on one of the nightstands also randomly stops working. If we were staying more than 2 nights we would of asked to switch rooms. However it wasn't worth the hassle of having to "bother" the weird front desk staff. read more

This post is for May 2021. I'm impressed. We reserved 2 rooms: the king bedroom and 2 queen bedroom. The rooms were kept clean and bed was comfortable. Bathrooms was clean as well. Very spacious. Highly highly recommend. We stayed a different hotel the previous day and it was the worst experience. The staff here are extremely friendly and the free breakfast is pretty good. Stayed here after visiting the stranger things experience with my daughter. We didn't feel like driving back to San Diego so we stayed the night in one of their suits . Check in was easy no waiting and no hassle. The room was clean and spacious. We asked for extra pillows and they where delivered quickly. Breakfast had a wide selection. Do not stay here unless you want your car tires stolen! You would think this place looks nice and that your belongings would be safe but nope. I had parked in the underground parking structure behind the hotel, thinking it would be safe. I even parked right in front of a camera and my tires managed to get stolen at 9am! There was also no manager on site and the head of security had left for the day. We could not find any person in charge to talk to which makes you wonder if this was an inside job. This happened on the day of my brother's wedding causing a delay for us and added stress. Save yourself the trouble and money and DO NOT STAY here. read more

Stayed here for one night while in area. The room was clean and loved that they had a kitchenette. We stayed at a standard room and it had a king bed and futon. Good sized room. It even has metal utensils, dishwashing sponge and dishwashing soap. The hotel staff is okay. They have a small indoor pool and barely anybody uses it but good for families with small kids. Close enough location to Universal and Disneyland. There were a lot of food selections for complimentary breakfast. Tastes mediocre like any complimentary breakfast but better than some. Decided to take a trip down south to visit family and decided to stay at Home2 Suites this past weekend. As we were driving up we noticed how stunning the property looked perched up on its hill. We were excited to check-in and enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, the front desk soured our stay. Please don't be afraid to ask questions even if the front desk gives you attitude for asking. Let's get to the bad--5th floor is the pothead floor. I am not kidding you the entire floor smelled of Marijuana up to the elevator. Steer clear of that floor if you're not a pot smoker and have small children. Saturday night seems to be club night by the pool for those eager to spend time together in a crowd. A crowd of 20+young people blasting music with no face coverings. Multiple guests were riding up and down the elevator with no face coverings. Finding parking was a joke. People hanging in their cars smoking, drinking and partying in the parking lot. This place comes nowhere near representing a Hilton. More like a Studio 6 in disguise. Overall, the room was somewhat clean, AC cold, breakfast was nice and simple. The housekeeping staff were polite and always seemed to make small talk, which was nice. If you're visiting with small kids I caution you look elsewhere. Don't expect your neighbor to keep the volume down. They could care less as to whether or not you enjoyed your stay. So much potential. I'd rather pay more elsewhere. No 2nd chance especially with small kids. read more

I love this place, rooms are suites that is a great studio size. This was a wonderful spot to quarantine away from everyone. They offered bagged breakfast and customer service was awesome. I loved that there was a small Kitchenette to heat food and make coffee. The rooms comes with big screen TV with cable. Loved the small coach to relax on instead of the bed. The king size bed was so comfy and gave me a good night sleep. I definitely will be back again. read more

Loves: spacious room with fridge, large restroom, standup shower, very comfortable bed, great location, convenient free parking, safety feature to use your key card in the elevator, and check out is at 12 Dislikes: small window with a "black out shade" that really doesn't do a great job in keeping the room dark in the morning, uncomfortable pillows which left my neck hurting in the morning, tv didn't have too many options - I expected a smart tv for a brand new Hilton, and no waters! Usually they offer a bottle or two but nothing, and I'm a Hilton Honors member and they didn't offer anything at the front desk. Also the internet will keep kicking you off... I gave this place 4 stars instead of 3 because there are many other amenities I didn't try that could give this place a better rating but for me, this hotel is a solid 3... read more

Stayed here with my boyfriend because we were going to attend Camp Flog Gnaw music festival for the weekend. Randomly found this hotel through booking.com. The yelp reviews were fantastic so I decided to give it a try. Honestly this hotel was amazing. The parking was free, and the entire property is gated. They include a free breakfast from 7a-10a. They had an indoor pool/ jacuzzi (that is heated) and a great gym. They also have grills and a fire pit area outside. The room was perfect, lots of space. We had a king size bed plus a sofa bed. It also had a kitchenette that included a full size refrigerator, dish washer and microwave. The shower was perfect. Overall loved this hotel and will definitely be coming back next year. read more

We had a wonderful stay at this location thanks to David M. He was efficient, courteous, and professional during our check in, and provided impeccable service throughout our time there. The hotel itself was nice also. The construction at the golf course didn't bother us, and we took advantage of the breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub. If there is one downside to this hotel, the sound proving is not the best as you can hear doors auto-closing on your floor. It didn't bother me when I was sleeping but you can hear them when you are awake. read more

Update: A couple months after writing my original review, I was contacted by a hotel manager/owner. He wrote me a very thoughtful and professional message via Yelp and asked if I would be willing to speak with him over the phone to discuss my experience. We did just that, and he was still just as kind and courteous over the phone as he was in his message. He apologized for my negative experience and expressed that the lack of cleanliness during my stay was definitely not their standard or norm. He did not ask me to update or revise my review but because he went out of his way to contact me and make things right, I felt it should be shared because I really do appreciate the extra effort. His acknowledgement and genuine apology really set a different tone for me when viewing this hotel and my previous experience definitely deserves an extra star. read more

If I can list 100 things I will. #1 the hotel is not at a super good location and the facing side of the hotel is under a huge constructions which means the view photos are lying; #2 the lights within the room is shutting off every 15-30 mins if you are working at the room you are basically doom and there's no way turn this function off- this is so stupid and super unuser-friendly; #3 the bathroom just smells bad and the door within the bathroom cannot be fully closed; #4 the bedsheet and cover is sooooo damn uncomfortable and cheap and it moves around soo easily; #5 the dishwasher does not support a quick wash and it is super loud; #6 the lobby is so compact with so many tables and chairs for what???; #7 The rooms and the doors are not soundproof, you can hear very loud door close noises and everything from the hallway. Super terrible. I would never recommend this hotel and will never come back to this collection of Home2 Suites by Hilton. It is totally a 1 out of 5, 1 for they still provide us a place to sleep.
