When I talked to the owner I discovered that the company was small and he would not only make the estimate but would do the work. In the past four years I had many contractors involved in the process of rehabilitating a house I bought. I wanted a fixer-upper and I got one. As a result I had a fair amount of experience with several contractors. By a very large measure Window Mechanics Direct was the best. I received quality windows installed as well as could be done. Let me make it clear: the possibility of another contractor doing a better job is extremely unlikely. This installation is the best by far of any of the work I had done from various contractors. . I might add that when I first bought the house I replaced about half the windows and that installation was satisfactory but did not approach the high level of craftmanship that I received from Window Mechanics Direct. I give them my unqualified reccomendation.
