We could not be happier with the service we received from Buck's & Son Electric Service. Steve Liston and Ish Miel were amazing. We recently purchased a new summer home and wanted to have some interior and exterior security lighting installed. They did a great job installing an interior chandelier that even the builder did not want to do in a vaulted ceiling. This was not a problem for Bucks & Sons as their senior electrician Ish used a remote transmitter/ receiver and installed our light fixture in the vaulted ceiling without any problems and minimal damage to the ceiling. They also installed exterior security lighting to the side and back of our home. We were so happy with their work that we also had them do all of the electrical work on our kitchen remodel. This meant they had to work with the Home Depot contractor RFI who did a terrible job. Steve from Bucks & Sons fixed all the problems that Home Depot created with the install of our garbage disposal. He also caught and solved a very potentially dangerous problem when Home Depot sheet rocked over live electrical wires and buried a 20 Amp wall and low voltage undercount lighting during the construction. Fortunately Steve from Bucks & Sons was able to retrieve the wires and remediated the problem. Bucks &Sons is a NJ state certified electrical contractor and will do a great job for your home improvement and electrical needs. They are extremely professional and do excellent work for a fair price great value for the money. We highly recommend. read more

They are apparently backed up like everyone but the work we ordered was not the work that was performed. We had to wait several weeks and when the electrician came he didn't have the proper outlet that we ordered. We accepted the work because we didn't want to wait another six weeks. read more

We recently had some (very) basic electrical work done by Buck's & Son and were not at all satisfied for several reasons. To be fair, I will mention upfront that the young man who performed the work was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. That's the good news. Now for the rest. First, we had a problem with our outdoor landscape lighting not working. The electrician replaced the outlet and installed a plastic outdoor outlet cover. The outdoor lighting worked...for a week or so, and then died. Second, we wanted to have sockets replaced in the outdoor lamps on either side of the front door, one of which was non-functioning due to salt-air corrosion. The electrician told us they don't replace sockets in outdoor lamps because they won't be responsible for the lamp itself, and that they'd install new lamps when we purchase them. He installed two more plastic outdoor outlet covers and performed some other basic work, all of which took one hour to complete. Their hourly rate is $175 and we were charged a total of $424. Even allowing for tax, there is no way the few basic parts that were needed cost $200+. I also asked for an estimate for additional work we need to have done. He made notes and said his boss would get back to us, which never happened. Needless to say, we're looking for another electrician. read more

Our older house in Sea Isle City was in need of a new outlet in the garage, a new garage light fixture, a new outdoor floodlight, and replacement of all of the corroded, outdated outdoor receptacles with newer, up-to-code ones. Additionally, MANY of the indoor receptacles had become loose over time and we needed to have 18 of them replaced. I can't say enough good about our entire experience with Buck's. Mike came out quickly after we called to make an estimate, the work was done within 2 weeks' time, everything we asked for was completed well, billing and payment were a breeze, and the estimate was spot -on.
