In a…read morecity where finding a great place can be stressful, I feel incredibly lucky to be in this building. The location is amazing, and the rent is very fair for the quality of the apartment. What really sets Stadgenoot apart is how responsive they are. Whenever I open a ticket or have a maintenance issue, they handle it quickly and professionally. Great value! But it's the community aspect that really blows me away. Last summer, they actually sponsored a huge garden party in the courtyard behind our building! They encouraged us to invite the whole street and provided beer, wine, and food. It was such a generous gesture that brought the entire neighborhood together. I love living here and honestly don't plan on ever leaving--the only way I'm going out is feet-first! If you're looking for a housing association that truly cares about 'buurtmaken' (community building) and treats their tenants like family, Stadgenoot is the gold standard. 5 stars!

This turned out to be a fantastic decision. Niels was incredible. We had a lot of questions - the kind that makes you worry you're being a bit much. But Niels took it all in stride. He wasn't just patient; he ensured we really understood everything about mortgages and insurance, providing a huge relief. What really made a difference was how Niels managed to simplify all the complicated stuff, ensuring we felt comfortable with our choices. Beyond just the mortgage, he helped us find the right life and homeowner's insurance that fit our situation perfectly. Having him guide us through each step with clear and straightforward answers was incredibly reassuring. For anyone feeling overwhelmed by the idea of buying a house, especially expats, turning to Niels and Viisi is a great choice. We always felt in good hands, never stressed about asking too many questions, and ended up super confident in our decisions. A big thanks to Niels and the team!

Amsterdam is probably one of the most difficult cities to find proper accomodation, with houses…read morebeing booked within hours after their advertisement. The high demand, gives also more "flexibility" to rental agents, who are not as interested to you as a client, since if you don't get an apartment, they will find someone else in the next day. I have interacted with many agents, others having professional behaviour and others (the majority) not. I write this review, only because the experience I had with Netherlands Rentals was truly an order of magnitude more professional than all the rest. Without even meeting me in person (something which if you don't do, usually nobody cares), not only they tried their hardest to find a proper place for me, but they were in constant contact either by phone or email, in comparison to other agents which usually leave you waiting (even days) in order to find a client that they will consider ideal. Definitely, have a look at their website when moving to the Netherlands, or even better, get in touch with them and I'm pretty sure that they will do their best to help. Definitely recommended and top quality professionalism, which at least, is what I expect as an expat from an agency. I've noticed that they are also involved in the rental agency business in other cities as well, and I hope that the people working there are as good as the Amsterdam group
