My bathroom
Sona A.

I just finished my brand new bathroom. I'm absolutely astonished of how good every detail looks. Highly recommend. Also very good prices and the finance process is super easy and low interest. Thanks Tal!

I got this company as a referral from my cousin and I'm so glad I decided to go with them for my kitchen project. The whole experience was great from start to finish. Tal was amazing throughout the entire process. He answered all my questions, kept me update and made everything feel so easy. I highly recommend Tal and the whole team! If you thinking about remodeling your kitchen they are definitely a company you can trust.

This guys the best very helpful I love these people will come back to these people very smart

Roof

I would like to highly recommand the home remodeling builders company for doing my roof.I have not enough words to tell how satisfied I am, they really did an amazing job in my home, I will absolutely asked them to do the yard in the future. The resalt was amazing. They are reliable and professional.

I had a leak in my roof, I tried talking to many construction companies, no one was really serious, and they all asked for ridiculous prices, until I met Home Remodeling Builders. They did a wonderful job, finished on time, and made sure to clean everything up as if it wasn't there. Highly recommend!!

Pulsar Construction - Pulsar Construction Inc. completed the custom kitchen remodel from design to construction and finish. All permits and inspections passed.

This was my…read morefirst remodeling project in many years, and I knew I would need to find someone new, since my former contractor had retired. From my very first meeting with Elena, I felt comfortable and confident. They were able to accommodate my requested start date and handled all the preconstruction details including permits and inspections. Elena guided me throughout the design process and worked closely with me to make sure I was happy with my choices. Their workmanship and attention to detail were top notch and they were very respectful of my property, as well as my privacy. Their crew was extremely talented, and Dmitry was very hands on and knowledgeable. As with any remodel, there were a few small surprises, but Pulsar came up with solutions and made any alterations necessary. I truly appreciated their clear and frequent communication, weekly updates, and budget progress reports. I will definitely work with them again on future projects.

I say "with" because they both were absolutely with us every step of the way. The schedule and commitment they made with us was as equally important to them as it was to us. We had some hiccups. No project that I've ever been involved with goes without a hitch. And our house was built in 1963, and the kitchen was last updated in 1992. So there were a lot of challenges to be met and issues to be dealt with as the kitchen went down to the studs. But Elena is a master project and business manager. And Dmitry is actual an artisan, with a team of very skilled people at the ready to do the work and handle the problems. Even when we had issues with the vendors for the appliances, Elena stepped in and worked the white spaces, smoothing over the issues and getting everyone back on track. Dmity himself literally built custom solutions real time at the work site. We had several challenges because of the way the house was initially built, and he overcame them one by one with creative solutions that were not simply kluges but are now permanent fixes that passed ALL Final Inspections. Which brings me to another point: Dmitry did all the plans for submittal to the city, and Elena submitted all the plans and permit requests, interfaced with the city for all inspections, and gave us copies of all the final inspections and permit information for our files. We paid for those services, and I will tell you it was well worth it. It bears noting that we lived in the house the entire time the work was being done, except for the 12 days when we were on vacation out of the country. Pulsar kept working the whole time we were gone, safeguarding our home, and keeping us in the loop even though we were eight hours ahead. Pulsar was not our least expensive bid. But we made the decision early on that we would not cut corners on this job. We are very grateful to have found Dmity and Elena. They were easy to work with, had respect for our property and our schedule and our budget as much as possible, and never made us feel sorry about choosing to with them. I recommend you choose them, too!#

His team--including Sullivan, Junior, Sergio, Abby, Nicolas, and many others--was professional, meticulous, and respectful. We appreciated Eli's creativity for design. We interviewed several contractors but Eli's enthusiasm and vision stood out. Our kitchen went from dark and dated to bright, modern, and timeless. He recommended several functional details we never considered -- a counter waterfall, lazy susan, and additional shelves. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend AHI!

For at least two months, our kilowatts per day weren't feeding back into the system. Bummer, right? I shopped around, and when I found out about Nick, I knew I'd be in good hands. Nick came, talked to us, checked out the system and advised us that it looks like we are connected. It's the Tesla mobile app that likely needs updating and we're in the clear. He gave us a ton of information, didn't try to sell us anything, and did this all for free. I know whom I'm going to call next time I have a solar glitch, or want to upgrade my system. You can't buy generosity, or good heartful service. It has to be given. Nick Bar is my solar guy. He should be yours.

The craftsmanship throughout the project was truly impressive, and the quality of the finished work exceeded my expectations. Sagi Paul, the contractor, was extremely attentive to detail and remained closely involved throughout the renovation. He took the time to make sure every aspect of the project was completed properly, and I could not be happier with the end result. The entire LUX Builders team was professional, responsive, and accessible from start to finish. Mindy Lockhart and Rachael Ibarra were always available to answer questions, address my concerns, and keep me informed throughout the process. Their communication and support made a complex renovation feel much more manageable. I also greatly appreciated how respectful the construction team was of my home and property, especially since I continued living in the house during the renovation. They were courteous, considerate, and worked hard to minimize the disruption as much as possible. I would highly recommend LUX Builders to anyone looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly skilled team for a home renovation. It is not straightforward to review solar companies because, well, these are big $ projects and I don't get solar installed every month or every year. So, this review does not compare Xero to other solar companies. I would be writing a fairytale if I were to review them, say, against Tesla. Having that cleared up, let me start the review. First come the sales people. Did they take the time to understand what my wife and I were really wanting our solar system to do for us? Did they propose a system that would meet our needs? George B. was 'our' sales person. He is still with Xero 6 years later, albeit in a larger role. This is a very positive sign. Before you sign with a solar company, ask about turnover and who your contact will be as the project progresses. Xero gave us 'one stop shopping' and that has real value. George fielded all our questions, informed us of status and kept us informed about anything that impacted our project (everything from municipal permits, Southern Edison approvals, project progress, to Solar rebates. Xero continues to be stable. We had one 'sales' meeting where George worked with us to configure a system and set up a timescale and pricing. One funny thing did happen that I should tell you about. George assumed we were looking for a minimum cost system that would lower our electric bill. We had to explain that what we wanted was a system that would give the maximum backup power (battery plus solar) in case the grid went down. That type of system would then also have the property of giving us there lowest SCE bill. Our final system was: 40 panels, 4 Tesla Powerwalls, and all the support infrastructure needed. The price was in line with expectations, so we signed up. The project moved quickly. XERO produced the plans that would be submitted to SCE and the City for permitting. They also created all the paperwork that was needed to take advantage of the government rebates. We were having our roof redone at the same time as we were replacing a much older solar system with the Xero system. George coordinated Xero's work to put hardware in place to hold the panels so the roofers could seal the hardware against leaks. The installation of the solar system went quickly and according to the original schedule. We were up and running 'on schedule'. We have had a few problems since the 2020 installation. One of the LG panels died. Xero replaced the panel, but we also learned that LG is getting out of the solar panel business. If other panels die Xero said they would 'take care of it'. I trust them. Then, one of the Tesla Powerwalls kept tripping the first breaker between it and the rest of the system. That turned out to be due to the screw that fixes a (large) wire to a breaker loosening. Xero repaired that immediately. Probably the most concerning failure we had was that the main breaker, the Backfeed Breaker, that connects the solar/Battery Backup system to the grid, melted and disconnected us from the grid. We were running on battery and solar only for a few days. The good news is that the system as implemented can deliver enough power to run our home and charge our car from the sun alone. One of the very senior Xero folks saw the 'call for service ticket' and rushed right over on a Sunday afternoon. Then one of their very senior engineers came out and diagnosed and repaired the damaged system. This failure was also caused by a screw that fixes a wire to the breaker loosening. The installation crew used calibrated torque wrenches to torque every screw to its specifications. So, faulty installation was not to be blamed. Heating/cooling can cause this type of failure as the wire and screw are subject to expansion and contraction. Overall, Xero is great company. They are stable, have excellent leadership, proudly stand behind their brand, they don't leave you 'hanging', they are easy to deal with, they've been in business for quite a long time, they have a stable workforce. I recommend them highly. "But", you say "aren't you concerned about the failures? Especially the 'loose set screw' issue." Short answer: NO. These failures are bound to happen in electrical equipment that carries large currents (have a chat with one of the AIs about this). There are many issues that can cause such failures: heating/cooling caused by large currents that are not steady; for example switching Powerwalls from charging to discharging. Both loose connections were in high current areas where current direction changed frequently. The solution to these problems is 'maintenance'. Xero now offers annual maintenance contracts which will prevent the type of failure we have seen. That is the theory. We shall see how this works out in practice over time.
