The menu had a nice variety. You help yourself to bottled and canned drinks in the snack room area. Of course I went for the burger. It was a double meat burger with bacon, and mushrooms, and cheese. Price was good. Unfortunately it was way over cooked and dry. Mine was very salty as well. I had poutine frys and they were ok only. One of our kids had a kids burger and it was charred black. The other kid had a hot dog and she loved it though. Both got a desert and they let them go in back and pick from a cake selection. I will say the value was good and I can't say anything really bad about the place. Maybe ask them to cook the burger less if you order one. Lastly, I know it's Canada but they need some AC for summer days. It was hot in there and it was not even a really hot day. Maybe just a couple of window units. I bet the kitchen staff was burning up

I had the cream of celery soup. It was a small but tasty soup. Our lunches took a long time to arrive. A lot of restaurants are having trouble attracting staff since the pandemic so that might be the reason why it took so long for our orders to arrive. At least the starter and water and coffee came quickly including many refills. When my wrap did arrive it was tender and tasty. I would certainly recommend it. My partner had a Thai Chicken Salad. It was quite huge. She enjoyed the salad but thought the chicken was a little dry. There may be better places to eat in Humboldt but we didn't see any and none came up on our searches. If you are tired of the usual Multi-national chains I'm sure that you will enjoy Johnny's Bistro. We were towing a small trailer and found ample parking on the side street very close to the café.
