This is an incredible park…read more Friends and family who visit from outside London are amazed by it. It's like one of those parks you see in old children's picture books. Not just a big expanse of green - though it has that, too - there are lots of winding pathways and a small lake with an island, ducks, swans and geese ...and three separate kids play areas, all with different activities including a zip wire, tyre swings and great climbing frames. There's a huge Paddling Pool and a sandpit. There are dog-free, dog-specific and general areas. Basketball court, football pitch, tennis courts, even a beautifully kept bowling green. And - my favourite - a walled scented garden with shaded benches. This park has everything. Not forgetting the great café, recently taken over by Fait Maison, which does drinks and food, with lots of outdoor and indoor seating and yet another play area. And if the yummy mummyness of that cafe is too much for you, the Ginko garden centre at the south end of the park (yes, it has a garden centre, too) also has a great cafe. And it's right next to Ravenscourt Park tube.

My professor for sociology of subcultures was the foremost biographer (and friend) of Vivienne Westwood/Kate Moss/Malcolm McLaren, etc..; professor for social analysis of modern Britain was an EU consultant that would visit candidate memberstates to analyze the economic parabola to see if their country would be able to match the joining criteria, and also taught at LSE... they really got some good people to sign on. I wish I could say the same for the school I'm doing my MA at!!!! The only negative I had with them, was the cafeteria food, and anyone that's been to Richmond can attest to this... (pasta with vegetarian sauce will give you nightmares), but you're in an area with endless restaurants so just eat out! They did a really good job of organizing subsidized activities for the students to do, so daytrips and things in the city would be fairly affordable to those attending. I'd recommend AIFS/ Richmond in a heartbeat. Was a bit pricey, but well worth the experience.

This has got to be the worst school my children have ever attended. If you want to pay high school…read morefees for your children to be looked after for a couple of hours and learn absolutely nothing then this is the place for you. They have poor education, sports and discipline policy. The head teacher has preferential treatment to certain parents. Our children attended the school for a year and more than 60% of the children in both their classes left to go to other schools. The frustration with all parents came because of their lack of communication and organisation. As a parent I had to put my children into extra tuition classes as well as pay school fees. Many of the teachers at Sinclair house are new to teaching pupils... They also have a high turnover of staff which is a reflection of the poor school leadership. Our children attend a new school now and their grades a noticeably higher and I can see a major improvement with the teaching quality. Our children actually enjoy going to school now. It was a complete mistake to take our kids to this school. First impression looks good but in the long term you'll find that it's not worth having your children their at all and that you're wasting your money. They won't learn very much and are likely to be miserable.

The teachers consistently applied bullying tacticts and psychological games with the students often threatening them, for those students seen as more problematic they school would make them sign contracts promising they must behave in the sixth form otherwise they would automaticly be expelled. I had the feeling that their only concern was maintaining appearances and keeping results - often threatening students not to speak to the press, the two years I spent at the London Oratory were the unhappiest of my life and whilst it has taken years for me to overcome the trauma of the bullying I witnessed there both from the students and teachers I am glad to say I have overcome the trauma and am now a well adjusted adult.
