Having not studied or taken an intensive exam in over six years I lacked confidence in my ability to score well on the GMAT. After taking a practice exam my fears were confirmed. Looking around and reading reviews of coursed on offer I decided to sign up for the 10 week Manhattan GMAT group course and am glad I did. Robert, the head instructor, was very engaging and very knowledgeable. His methods were spot on and he helped all of the students in the class improve their weaknesses and hone in their strengths. My goal, like many, was to score 700 or above. The Manhattan GMAT course helped me improve my score by 80 points and achieve my goal. Anyone who is willing to work hard and listen to the instructors advice will improve their GMAT score significantly by taking any of the Manhattan GMAT courses. read more

I completed the 2-week bootcamp in London in December 2016 and took the GMAT 3 times after bootcamp, getting 720 (42 Verbal / 45 Quant) on the last try. What I loved about the bootcamp was that the classes were structured according to the actual GMAT timing - two ~75m sessions per day and during class we had 2 minutes to work out every question. We learned not only content but invaluable strategies and mindsets that were crucial to acing the test. After the bootcamp, students had access to various free one-on-one sessions (either via Skype or in person) where instructors helped to closely review our strengths/weaknesses and analyze our performance on practice/actual GMAT. I'd highly recommend bootcamp to those who prefer short and intensive studying and have time for a 2-week full-time immersion. read more

I enrolled in a Manhattan GMAT one-on-one session for 4 weeks to get my math score up. Robert, who is the lead instructor in Europe, is a very practical guy. He immediately locks in on your weak points and pushes you hard on those areas. For me, he was helpful because I did not really want to spend a lot of time on the basics, and we focused how to get the questions correct quickly, as opposed to the theory, which I was already very familiar with. Most importantly, he's a really nice guy. In addition, the GMAT books are excellent, far better than the competition. They teach theory as well as faster ways to get to the answer. The competition's books either just teach shortcuts or theory. read more

I wanted to take this opportunity and extend a big thanks to Robert (MGMAT Instructor in London) and the manhattan gmat team. I started my prep in January this year with the GMAC diagnostic score of 580. After self study with OG guides and internet materials for 8 weeks, I struggled to get beyond 620. It was around that time that i attended the MGMAT free quest for 750 class. I was suitably impressed and signed up for the springtime session. The manhattan classes and guides have been awesome...I managed to keep up with all my reading (including advanced) and homework...and by the time I finished the session, I was feeling really comfortable with the fundamental concepts. I must have taken around 5-6 mock tests in the 4 weeks following the last class, leading up to the tests - both the MGMAT and GMAC tests. I always scored in the range of 650-660 during the first few tests (within 1 week of the last class) and then in the range of 680-740 during the last 2 weeks... Without sounding cliched, I can honestly say that the jump of 130 points was made possible by the Manhattan classes and study materials...And I can vouch for it because I tried self-study for 8 weeks and moved my score by 30 points during that period! read more

I had already sat for my GMAT once (having bought the GMAT Official books and having studied on my own) and was unhappy with my 620 score. I decided to get professional help. After doing some desktop research, I settled on Manhattan GMAT because of the good student reviews and the fact that they don't do "guarantees" (I believe this to be a marketing gimmick). I worked with Robert Wilburn for 5 sessions (2 hours each) and on my second sit, I scored a 710. Robert is very good at asking the right questions and making you think strategically instead of blindly following your instinct. I felt that he managed to shift my mindset, especially in the Verbal Review, within a short period of time. He was motivating and yet realistic, plus it was really easy to get along with Robert. The Manhattan GMAT books are absolutely brilliant as well! (side note, if anyone is interested in buying a second-hand set, pls contact me at jesscheng79@gmail.com) I would definitely recommend Robert and Manhattan GMAT to anyone who wishes to get a great GMAT score. Probably the only downside is that the private tutoring classes are a bit pricey but as long as you put the required effort in, you do get your money's worth at the end of the day. read more

Signed up for a 9 week session with Eric. It was a 3 hour night class, once a week. I was very afraid that I would be too tired to attend class after a long day of work and would have trouble following the curriculum. However, Eric was a fantastic teacher. He is very patient with his students, loves to help them understand the material properly and has great tips and tricks to help beat the GMAT. He has a very clever way of keeping the class engaged and does provide small breaks to help the class build rapport with each other. I took a lot away from the class (things I never would been able to take away if I studied on my own). I am still a couple of months away from taking my GMAT test but Eric makes himself available to his students post-class to help them with any questions they may have. I am confident that I will achieve a much higher score taking this class than I would have if I had studied on my on. read more
