Teaching groups are usually quite small (no more than 14) and the different tutors are warm and knowledgeable. It can be a bit pricey but i think the quality is worth the money!

I'm learning Italian at International House and love the location and the learning structure…read more Although it can appear pricey there is the option to really break down your learning into six week chunks and there is moodle online for a back up if you have to miss a week. My teacher has been brilliant and manages to keep class energy pretty high, which can be tricky after a working day though the main thing is that my classmates have been lovely and we end up having a laugh (usually over not knowing the Italian word for something.)

Looking around and reading reviews of coursed on offer I decided to sign up for the 10 week Manhattan GMAT group course and am glad I did. Robert, the head instructor, was very engaging and very knowledgeable. His methods were spot on and he helped all of the students in the class improve their weaknesses and hone in their strengths. My goal, like many, was to score 700 or above. The Manhattan GMAT course helped me improve my score by 80 points and achieve my goal. Anyone who is willing to work hard and listen to the instructors advice will improve their GMAT score significantly by taking any of the Manhattan GMAT courses.

He immediately locks in on your weak points and pushes you hard on those areas. For me, he was helpful because I did not really want to spend a lot of time on the basics, and we focused how to get the questions correct quickly, as opposed to the theory, which I was already very familiar with. Most importantly, he's a really nice guy. In addition, the GMAT books are excellent, far better than the competition. They teach theory as well as faster ways to get to the answer. The competition's books either just teach shortcuts or theory.

Not good. Upon arriving, slightly early to be fair, the whole atmosphere upstairs was insane. The…read moreemployees were arguing with each other and with the manager (I believe) who spent most of their time shouting and walking in and out. The place itself is so, so dirty to the point where the dust is taking over and smells of cigarettes. Poor orange plant in the corner was dead. I have asked one of the people working there what I am signing, after he just handed me a form, and he had no clue. I was then sent to a girl who apparently "explained" it to me, but she was reading a script off her laptop. I was ultimately sent to another girl who arrived late, and after being told off by her manager, seemed to be more concerned about asking one of her colleagues for an outfit check than explaining that form to me. There were 4 people waiting for their exam, including myself, and 3 chairs in the "waiting area" You are advised to arrive at least 30 min before your exam time, so you can witness arguments and outfit checks. Cool stuff!! I am glad I got my FS Lvl 2 done because I am not going back there.
