I immediately found that he was experienced and knowledgeable about senior living options in The Triangle and a really nice guy too. Shortly after our meeting, I contacted Sanjay to learn more about how my spouse and I could best prepare for our next life chapter. He took the time to address all of my questions and concerns with compassion and care. Then he set up appointments for us to visit several senior living communities in our area. He also provided the name of a chef who prepares meals in seniors' kitchens! Sanjay delivered personalized treatment and accompanied us during the senior community visits. He emphasized how we should make our exploration fun and it was! I highly endorse Always Best Care for their excellent service and expertise. Planning for our living options with Sanjay now is an investment in our health and happiness. If you're thinking about where you will live as you grow older, get in touch with Always Best Care. It will be fun!

The caregiver assigned to my Dad was kind and attentive, and it didn't end there. The owner even came to Dads house and noticed his porch railing was missing. He told Dad it was a risk with Dad rolling around in that deck in his wheelchair with no safety fence or rail. Next thing I know I show up and there was a rail attached to the house and enclosing the porch. I ask Dad when did you have this done ? Dad proceeded to tell me that the owner of Affordable Family Care Services showed up with his son and father and they installed railing all around the porch. Didn't charge us and did it out of the kindness of their heart. Great company that I'd highly recommend.

Words cannot express how cherished our family experience with Visiting Angels has been. When…read moreGrandma reached the point where she was needing 24-7 care, and Mom (her caregiver) desperately needed sleep, we didn't know what to do. Acting on a recommendation, I called Visiting Angels and talked to Stacey. As a result, help came fast in the form of indeed, a visiting angel. The way they operated was Stacey and Nurse Mary visited with Mom and Grandma to assess what was needed. Night-time help was what Mom was desperate for and Stacey offered up another Stacey who was the most incredible visiting angel. Grandma loved her from the first night. They bonded immediately. We never thought Grandma would be so comfortable with a non-family member caring for her, but I could only relieve Mom so much as I work full-time. Caregiver Stacey would come on-time as scheduled, and be johnny-on-the-spot (as Grandma put it) when Grandma called out for her all night long (which was often). There were times during this period of time where I was desperately seeking advice on how to ease Grandma's suffering. I called Manager Stacey who is the world's best listener, and also talked with Nurse Mary who is full of knowledge and compassion. I'm telling you, these folks care. Fast forward to a little over a month later and Grandma is no longer with us. I was awed that Visiting Angel Stacey not only came to the Memorial Service, but brought a thoughtful gift and heartfelt card. So if you're wondering who to trust to care for someone you love, know there are indeed angels out there. Ones that will visit and care for your loved one as only you can. Yes you will pay for this. Some might say it's not cheap. I say for what they're worth we couldn't pay enough. Stacey, Mary, the other Stacey...our family thanks all of you from the bottom of our hearts!

They don't check voicemail, they don't return calls, then finally after over a month, I received a call during Christmas week (waking me up on my first off day, but I was happy to run downstairs to get my insurance at first), and when she found out I was hoping for a Saturday appointment due to work, she was frustrated as, after a long hold, she couldn't reach the "girl who works Saturdays and hadn't given her the January hours yet". I have her name, but not posting here. I told her I was willing to wait (I mean, my shoulder may actually heal on it's own at this point and I'm definitely moving my orthopedic doc appt out since I've been unable to schedule) or I could call her directly and she became angry and hung up on me. Frustrating as I literally waited a month to even try to schedule as I was busy and had already done what I thought was my research so didn't want to start over researching other PT locations further away from where I live...but now, I am!

Don't waste your time with an agency that will communicate to you that they have staff to…read moreaccommodate you, and then don't deliver. What's the point of an agency accepting a PCS contract and not fulfilling the requirements of the client? The quality of care provided was extremely lacking. (Porchia) the aide provided couldn't even put a diaper on properly. I also at first request of services asked for a CNA (to operate a hover lift) but the owner of Alegna couldn't find anyone. So, I decided to just ask for a home aide instead in hopes of getting "help." Also, I own a companion dog and two cats that have been signed off by my doctor. ( I have the paperwork for them) and in the discharge paperwork, it was cited that part of the reason I was discharged was due to the aide's "concern" over my pets. Bear in mind that when both the aide and owner of the agency had come by, we had my companion animal barricaded so as to appease them. Evidently, that was not good enough for the aide, nor Angela Green Cozart, the owner of ALEGNA, as my companion dog could not reach them or even jump over the gate as she was injured. A client should not have to change their environment to suit the aide or agency, especially pertaining to one's companion or service animals. In conclusion, I obviously don't recommend Alegna. I'm both disabled and bedbound, and I have many health issues. Because of my experience with Alegna, I was also delayed from receiving both physical and occupational therapies, as well as having been made to scramble desperately to find a new agency. (despite Angela's "referrals") It's my aim in writing such an in-depth review that this will be helpful to others in my position and their families.
