Right At Home was entirely unlike this. A Josh Steiner came to our house to evaluate our home and get an overall idea on what services we required and which employees would best fit. Following this a gentleman named Zach Steiner came by with an employee to introduce and get started with us. As far as communication about employees and poss schedule change i have mostly dealt with Stephanie in the office who has always had a pleasant attitude and speaks very professionally on matters at hand. Some employees we have had for a weekly schedule but when needed they sent a fill in that was polite and able to meet our needs fittingly. All the employees helped us in all ways even when we have to leave the site for shopping or go on an appointment. I was both surprised and very pleased with the quality of nursing professionals at Northern Rose. The CEO is intensive care trained, as was the RN she sent to my home. Both were insightful, smart, and so helpful with suggestions regarding my plan of care. The physical therapists sent by Northern Rose were so very much more helpful than the physical therapists at the "rehab" center I was recently discharged from. I progressed more in just a few sessions with them, than I had during several weeks at the center. I needed cataract surgery and called Comfort Keepers in Grayslake for transportation to and from…read moreLoyola in Maywood from my home in Mundelein. I needed someone to stay at the hospital during the procedure and then take me home after. I met with Ryan who took all my information and matched me with one of their care givers, Daria. Daria was fabulous. My procedure meant I needed to be at the hospital at 5:30am. Ugh. We left my home at 4:30am and Daria didn't bat an eye at the time. Afterward, Daria pulled the car up to the hospital door, helped me in and took me to Target to help me get the one lens from my glasses removed that corresponded with the eye that just had surgery. Unfortunately, I was in a tremendous amount of pain and Daria was there every step of the way. I have already requested her for my second cataract surgery. I cannot say enough praise for Comfort Keepers and especially for Daria.

When my husband was ready to be discharged home from Whitehall Rehabilitation Center after…read morerecovering from sepsis, we needed homecare to help him fully recuperate and regain his strength and independence. I was referred to HomeWell Care Services in Lake Forest and spoke with the owner, Ines Eisner, MD, PhD, who immediately grasped our situation and offered a viable plan. I was impressed by her professionalism, knowledge, and sensitivity and felt like I was speaking with a personal friend. Ines visited my husband at rehab, and then met me at our home to inspect the setting and offer suggestions to facilitate recovery. On the morning of my husband's discharge, Ines met us at the Whitehall and introduced us to our lovely new caregiver, Noreen, whom I soon referred to as our "Guardian Angel." Noreen moved into our home for two weeks, assisting my husband with all of his needs on the road to full recovery while simultaneously helping me around the house. Rehabilitation impacts not only the patient, but the entire family. Noreen was invaluable, maintaining a very positive and cheerful attitude -- she was tireless and couldn't do enough. We found it at Travanse. The Generations Director loves the residents, is responsive to our family needs, and seeks to be available and visible for all residents and their families. The nurses and caregivers are very kind, loving, and respectful to our mom. As a result mom feels content, comfortable, and safe. While no place is perfect, Travanse Living at Grayslake certainly comes close! We recommend it!
