I walked in today with a family member as we were given a list of items to purchase by my interior designer from This store . We walked in and there were two frames I absolutely loved, they were beach drift wood and framed, I said out loud " oh ! This would go perfect above my bedroom set that I purchased a week ago from RH. My family member said" oh ! I have a friend that makes something similar but for tables! She showed me a few pictures on her phone and jokingly said " I wonder if she could make something similar, she lifts her phone up, to take a pic, and I responded "no I actually LOVE these pieces ! I wonder if I could get two of the same piece to have four to fill my wall up! ". She said " oh ! Haha ok , ok , and I moved on looking for the pieces I originally came in for, (NO photo was taken ). At that very moment mind you we were NEVER welcomed in, No other customers in the store. Just the older gentleman working at this store . This gentleman fiercely rushes over and says with a short manner "no photos can be taken in the store" I responded with my soft voice " oh she didn't" with a smile , She was about to but she didn't. He responded " I find that hard to believe when her phone aimed at the light fixture and snap a shot and bought her hand down, as he was explaining with such a mean gesture and horrible attitude . He then continued to steer angrily at me directly as if I was lying and when I turned back he proceeded to share that my other person took a photo of some light fixture at the entrance.. funny thing was We never even looked at a light fixture, I said SIR! She did not, and it just became ridiculous. He proceeded to argue with me, never in my 39 years have I ever had anyone argue with me over something that could have gone smoother by saying ," ! HI ! Welcome in, just a kind reminder no photography of our store.. " I held my hands up palms out and said " Sir, clearly we are not welcomed here, we are leaving but she did not take any photos, quiet frankly this is gotten a bit absurd. He responded, "well yea ok I'll rewatch the footage of the cameras to verify If it's true.. ( I mean , how old are we ?? ) I laughed a bit because it was preposterous. My designer was there a few days ago working on a Large project for us on multiple Rooms and spoke to Shawn or maybe a Steven or both not sure on a name she gave me a large list of items to look at but we got opposite treatment. Not only were we practically forced out of this store on false accusation but I really felt discriminated, as if I couldn't afford anything in this store ( We can) . I know if I were Caucasian I am sure our treatment would have been different, clearly we were not welcomed. It felt like a pretty woman moment. We were NOT greeted, not given any kind reminder and just mistreated and harassed. No signage anywhere in the store( because I looked as we exited ) , looking for " no photography " . On top of that my designer was in a few days snapped a few photos to my husband and . The funniest part of all said and dine there is that YELP reviewer posted PHOTOS within the store on here!!, my family member didn't get that far of actually taking the photo ). I do not like confrontations it was hard for me to write this cause I'm a super nice person, but this needed to acknowledge, this isn't ok!!

I have definitely stopped to eat at The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, Gelato Grotto, and Five Guys before. And the Nicklaus Children's Urgent Care is awesome. Parking is mostly ok, simply because nothing is ever too crowded. The free parking garage behind the urgent care is easy to use and pretty empty. However, the 3 big box stores I mentioned above are nowhere near each other, so I drive from store to store. The Plaza is unfriendly to foot traffic, has zero common public spaces, and is poorly laid out with terrible signage. The layout is truly beyond frustrating: no clear entrances or exits, strange parking layouts that block access to the few buildings that are connected to the inner strip, several fake exits that dump into rental complexes instead of roads. I attended a holiday event recently at Legacy Place. It sounded fun in theory, but I couldn't fathom where it would take place, given the lack of common public space. The event was one of the worst I have ever attended. My children and I walked into the area, took a look around, and turned right around to leave; it was that bad! They blocked off part of a parking lot next to Pet Smart. A woman in a sparkly leotard was 'performing' in suspended aerial silks, except she fumbled her movements while we watched and then just moved very slowly from pose to pose, very awkwardly. Meanwhile, adults dressed up in Christmas costumes stood in the parking lot and watched. There was no holiday decor, no games or crafts for kids, no food or drink samples, just a lot of empty blacktop and unenthusiastic performers in a depressing setting. It is sad to see all the empty stores here now. I hope they can find a way to rejuvenate this space for the better (ala CityPlace to Rosemary Square!), increase signage to help navigation, dedicate part of the plaza to public space and programming, create appealing walking paths, and bring in non-profits and artists to use empty spaces and bring appeal to these spaces while waiting for long term rentals.
