Grab a basket and some sewing patterns.

If only we had a Resource Depot near us! We need more businesses doing good for our communities and the environment. The Depot takes your unwanted recyclables and resells them for people's everyday and arts & crafts needs. If you are a teacher or have a child going back to school you need to check this place out. They have a great selection of books, school & art supplies, party supplies, handmade gifts, glassware and so much more. My son spent almost an hour constructing JunkOgrams and using my phone to take pictures of them. Where else can you grab a $5 or $10 basket and fill it with things to stimulate your creativity? I spoke with one of the women that works here and she spent the time to fill me in on what they do on a daily, but also told me about the Yelp Elite events, a recent interview with the news and the classes that are taught upstairs. If you live in the area, I'm jealous! If I wasn't volunteering my time, I would be shopping here once a week. Come in, check it out and spread the word! Recycle & reuse!

I continue to be impressed w Resource Depot. It is my first stop when I am looking for crafting or office supplies. Last time I bought fabric, thread, bias tape, file folders, and paper. In the past I have bought beads and jewelry making supplies, storage containers and even wallpaper. You never know what you will find! I urge people to donate there. One beneficiary category is teachers They will use lots of things you donate for craft and art supplies and for their classrooms. Resource Depot takes almost anything but food, clothes and furniture. You can schedule a drop off and their website says what they take. Finally they run programs for children and adults often on how to reuse something and turn it into an art project (like collages). Absolutely excellent!

Even my skeptical boyfriend couldn't resist buying something here, and he's a real cheapskate

Resource Depot supports recycling and repurposing items off all kinds. It's a great place for amazing bargains!

Tina, the owner, makes you feel welcome from the second you walk in the door. She greeted me warmly and showed me around her beautiful studio. She has many creative pieces on display that sparked my interest, from jewelry to paintings and more! She even has several of her books in the studio as well that I am dying to read! I came here with a friend to take a jewelry making class. I was hesitant at first because I have never made anything like this before, but I ended up leaving with a gorgeous ankle bracelet and wonderful memories. The class itself was extremely fun. It is held in an adorable little studio with music, snacks galore, and an instructor there to help you every step of the way. The instructor walked us through the jewelry process step by step, and was ready to jump in and fix any mistakes we made. What's truly amazing about this studio is that it is diverse. Tina has done an excellent job creating an environment that sparks creativity. She offers paint classes, jewelry classes, pottery classes, and I'm sure more that I don't know of yet! If you are looking for something fun to do with a group of friends or an exciting date night, be sure to visit her website and book a spot. I can't wait to take another class and get my creativity flowing!

This locally beloved family…read moreowned shop has been a staple in the community for over 37 years--and it is easy to see why. The store itself is a hidden gem--packed wall-to-wall with everything from high-quality rental costumes to fun accessories, makeup, wigs, and more. It is like walking into a behind-the-scenes Hollywood wardrobe department. Whether you are going for something spooky, silly, elegant, or completely over-the-top, they have got it. What really stood out to me was how unique everything felt. This is not your average pop-up Halloween store with mass-produced costumes. If you are seeking "Renaissance Themed Attire" Hollywood Costumes has the largest selection probably in the state of Florida. You can rent a costume, often a better value than buying something cheap online that you would wear once. If you are in the Palm Beach area and need a costume for anything--a party, a performance, cosplay, or just for fun--do yourself a favor and check out Hollywood Costumes. It is now my go-to spot. I am already looking forward to coming back for my next event.
