Among the designer espresso makers are some pretty fashionable clothing items, which, for me, broke up the monotony of the selection of housewares (lamps, vases, tables, cushions, etc.). Someone must have had people like me in mind when they came up with the concept for this store. On to the fashion! I found some beautiful (although pretty high-end) tees by designer James Perse as well as some local style, like Vancouver's own Shereen De Rousseau's gorgeous cross-platform jewellery.

Full disclosure: we had our cabinets made and installed by Stefan and Swiss Touch Construction 10+…read moreyears ago. We have had nothing but problems with the drawers and hinges over the years but put that down to design and not workmanship. Why I'm giving Swiss Touch one star is because of their customer service attitude and support. Soon after the cabinets were installed, we asked that Stefan come in and adjust them so they work properly. Our contractor soon became frustrated with delays and came in and did it himself. Swiss Touch showed no interest in helping. Over time, the cabinets have started to peel near the edges, and I have tried gluing them back. Recently, I thought, why not ask the experts? I have sent three emails to Stefan and left two phone messages, clearly stating that I am not looking for any warranty work or compensation, but simply for his advice on how I best handle the peeling of his cabinets. I made it clear that there was no risk to him in answering my emails or phone calls, but I was just inquiring what the best method, glue, or, better yet, tape is to somewhat repair these cabinets. Over the last three months of sending requests in, they have not contacted me or tried to give me any advice in the least. As a result, I do not recommend Swiss Touch Construction for your custom cabinets, as they seem to have a somewhat poor customer service, policy, attitude and culture.
