Buying with Home Creations was easy and the team was helpful -- but once we moved in, the warranty was useless. I reported a ceiling leak in December (6 months after purchase) and followed up for months. By July, they refused to fix it, claiming we were "no longer under warranty" despite my repeated requests well within the coverage period. Even small things like a broken doorbell weren't covered. They're great before the sale, but after closing they disappear. The house is fine, but the warranty is a joke. read more

I would not recommend Home Creations. I purchased a newly constructed home in July 2021 from Home Creations. I was torn between Home Creations & a couple of other custom builders but essentially I decided to use Home Creations due to a previous buyer discount that was available to me. I learned, it can't be about the lower price. I could list the all, but I don't have enough characters in this complaint. But after what happened today I feel it's only fair that I share my story because I would surely want to know this if I was ever about to build a custom home. Dec 22, 2022, during a very light bout of snow, one complete side of my home has snow drifts and water damage probably from the melted snow in the top corners of four rooms on one side of my home. This house is 1 1/2 year old. Why when it snows a few inches, are the corners of four of my rooms building condensation, frost & water damage? Just some months ago, I believe it took me formalizing a complaint directly to ownership of this company to get them to fix an exhaust pipe above the kitchen vent hood, tape gave away. Now no one in the company has responded to why several corners of my new home have snow condensation. I had a mice problem in my attic that 4 professional pest control companies couldn't locate any structural damage created by rodents as to how they are able to access my attic. All possibilities have been struck down by Home Creations as they continue to stand behind their product. However, today when I show them condensation, frost and water damage from a few hours of snow, all I get is silence, no response. How can snow drifts get in my attic? My quartz countertop was splitting. That had to be sealed. They didn't add all outlets as in electrical plan. I have shown Home Creations a variety of areas around this home, including the air conditioner hose that has had gaps around it. This is something else I continued to point out to their customer service department. Door knobs come loose & apart all the time. I had read previous reviews that warranty compliance and follow up are issues with this builder. I located a newly built home in a location with the amenities that I wanted, so I moved forward anyway. I should've heeded the warnings! After you've closed on the home, it is very difficult to get resolution on certain items and they simply pick certain items off of the warranty list. an declare that "We just don't do that." I loved everything about Home Creations prior to getting in the home! Everyone was friendly and communicated fairly well. Once I got in the home things just were not up to standard. It wasn't properly cleaned, some of the Sod was ripped through in the backyard, we had electrical issues, but what takes the cake is I come home from being gone for a few hours and my closet shelves have fallen from the wall! I really want to be happy with home creations but I can tell that a lot of things were not done with the buyers expectations of a brand new home in mind. The only reason it's getting one star is because I can't give it zero. We're approaching our one year and they still haven't completed stuff from our first few walk through. When they come fix minute things they give excuses for the big ones. I've asked several contractors that have come work on my house, if they would buy from Home Creations and they said no, because they go up to fast and they don't build them right. Below are a few pics of my floor that I PAID to have installed, just for them to come pull them up, and probably my kitchen to due to cracking, also seals on the house cause mold on the inside of your windows. In the past several years, the winters have been very cold although my home continues to remain warm. The HomeCreations representatives and my realtor, were thorough and helpful during my move to Oklahoma. Afraid to hang pics due to the slip of the decor it scratches the paint off...I can deal with done of the little mishaps but all doors and chips on all the walls...Don't use them . We bought a Home Creations home for our first house and lived there for three years. The quality build for the price of the home was a great investment and wonderful choice as first-time home buyers. The home had everything we needed and appreciated significantly by the time we had to move because of the quality of the build and market demand for our size home. We moved due to location, but sold our house in a quick two weeks in early 2020. We are now in a different home, which we love, but the flaws of our new home make us realize the quality operation of Home Creations. Horrible customer service! So I had my review on Facebook and the company had so many negative reviews... they just removed leaving a review as an option.. very clever for a crappy company! I closed on my house 7/2020. The day before closing I had to do a walk through with a guy named Richard... he is so rude. He came into the house and never introduced himself, he just walked in like he owned the place and started doing stuff... he then told me to tell my significant other he needed to leave the house because he wasn't on the contract. I said I wasn't told that and he will be living here and paying too. He said he didn't care and would leave. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY SIGN TO BACK OUT. After closing I went home and discovered They gave me someone else's keys, my waterline to my laundry wasn't hooked up... this was discovered when I went to hook my washer up. I immediately called them and I was told this wasn't an emergency so I was out off several days. Well when they finally came out to look at it... sure enough someone screwed up. They cut all sorts of holes in my walls to see where the problem was... never found it. Had to run one in the attic. It took 2 months for them to fix my front and back exterior doors. They tried to use weather stripping for one (I could see daylight through the door). ITS A BRAND NEW HOUSE... and Richard (same guy who was rude before) with customer care didn't see what the problem was. I said this is a brand new home I am not getting patch work done... they finally got me a new door. Fast forward a few months and it's now winter... my water line froze... AFTER I WAS TOLD IT WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM... well I immediately call and they notify their plumber (AKC PLUMBING) and the plumber called and said it was too cold to come out and he would call back a few days from now... so I waited... I finally called the company and they didn't know why I wanted them to come back out since my line thawed. I said this is a brand new home and this is the ONLY LINE THAT FROZE. I said you guys screwed up when you placed the line and it needs to be fixed... so A MONTH LATER SOMEONE COMES OUT. They slapped so more insulation. I mentioned that Tony C with customer care told me they would have heat tape installed back in September when the issue was found. Well the new customer service manager informed me he would have akc plumbing come by when they are out in my neighborhood... I said I work and need a set date... not just a swing by when they have a minute. The guy was then short with me and said he would have them scheduled a time when it was convenient for them... because it doesn't need to be fixed right now. I AM NOT THRILLED. This has been their screw up since day one and they do not care. It took them 2 months to initially get the water line fixed and two doors fixed because no one could communicate to their labor people what they wanted them to do. RUN! RUN! If I could go back in time I would have ran! Also the HOA SUCKS! The pool was supposed to be up and running summer 2020.. it's now April 2021 and it's not ready to go. DON'T SIGN THAT PURCHASE AGREEMENT! Once you do it's game over and you will now be ignored as a method of making you go away so they don't have to do the job they signed to do. Professionalism is not part of the vocabulary at Home Creations. Do you remember the students in high school and college on your group project that did the least amount of work possible? These are those people. They grew up and now they will be building your home. They don't call you back when you have the most basic of inquiry. The staff will not address your concerns. Sales staff and the builder will do the least amount of work possible to get you to sign closing documents. During signing it's all verbal promises of things they will not do in a desperate effort to get you to sign. During construction while the dry wall was yet to be hung, the builder was so ashamed of his own workmanship that he literally told me I was not allowed to have anyone with building experience walk-through the home prior to completion. Just wow! During the final walk-through prior to closing, there was zero evidence of craftsmanship. I got to my walk-thru early and saw workers and the builder frantically scrambling to finalize basic tasks on a build that was 9 months past the anticipated completion date. The hole in the wall for the water main was punched in with a roofing hammer in a sad attempt to get the job done as quick as possible. Crown molding hung with Elmer's Glue that pulls away from the walls 2 weeks after closing. The company must be storing the crown molding trim in a humid environment and using cheap adhesive / caulking to hang it. So when you go to sign everything looks great. Then you set the thermostat to 70 degrees, the air dries out in the home a few days later, and all the materials and the cheap caulking they use to throw everything together and hide flaws shrinks up and cracks. Cabinets that pull away from the walls leaving massive gaps. Cracked glass light fixtures at closing. Light fixtures that strobe and flicker until they ultimately go out and need replacement. That lawn turf you paid good money for, they will short you on that and when the rain leaves ruts in your lawn they will not address it. Drainage around your tiny lot that that Sales Team coerced you into will be awful leaving you with un-ending drainage issues when it rains. The "Customer Care" and Warranty Claims department won't confirm specific dates and times to make repairs. Total clown show. It was like dealing with grade school children the entire time. This organization fully realizes that they are short changing people and that their service and construction is poor. I know this because when I went to hire an attorney, I found out that Home Creations has their own law firm on stand-by to perform damage control pre-emptively. Realtors are receiving MASSIVE commissions for bringing lambs to the slaughter here. The whole goal at Home Creations is to extract as much money from the customer and deliver as little as possible. Do you want to pay WAY too much, not get what you paid for, have your construction delayed 12 months, and then get strong armed into closing and signing documents that specifically state you will not sue the individual owners for the incompetence of their employees? As a first time home buyer, Home Creations did everything to take advantage of me and followed through on 0 of the promises that were made to me. At first glance, my back yard was only half sodded. Both my realtor and my father asked if it was going to be fully sodded. They answered that yes it was going to be fully sodded. There was also a chip in my countertop that they promised to replace and give me a new one. After we signed the contract, they never gave me the full sod. Their response was that they never said that and it was not in the contract. To make things even worse, my countertop was not fully replaced, but just rounded off to make it look like it was replaced with a new counter. My salesman had no intention of telling me, and the builder had no intention of telling me. I actually found this out through my realtor. I would have been fine with the half sod, and the fixing of the countertop, but they promised full sod, and a full replacement on the countertop, and on top of that tried to lie about it. To make matters worse, I changed lenders to one of their preferred lenders, hoping to take advantage of the relationship that they have with their preferred lenders. The salesman told me that they have not had new property not appraise in the 14 years he has worked in real estate. Turns out, my house did not appraise, and they oversold the house by 7,900 dollars. I was lead to believe this would not happen, and I had to bring extra money to closing that was pretty much flushed down the drain because my house did not appraise. Overall awful experience and I will not buy another Home Creations house ever. Every time I deal with them I feel like I have stepped into a different universe where nothing makes sense and they had lied to me nonstop. We purchased our new home 2 years ago. We loved our home and they were ok for the first couple of months getting things fixed. But them other issues started. Pluming outdoors, doors creaking and closing, shower door leaked everywhere, heat and air flow issues, flooding when rains, just all kinda of things. We would report it and they "be out" but but weeks go by and we have to follow up so they can follow up. So dumb. Now 2 years later still not resolved. Home Creations is by far one of the worst companies to purchase a home from especially for Veterans. They up charge for necessity items, use false advertising such as paying closing cost when they do not cover it completely, they standby and use shady lenders who lie and make up fake VA regulations for Veterans to purchase homes, the sales director will lie to you as an intimidation factor when you question their ethics, and their houses are not the best when compared to other builders because they take shortcuts on builds. If your are looking for a home I would highly recommend using another builder like Taber, Authentic Builds, 2 structure homes, or Timbercraft especially if you are military/veteran. #HomeBuyersBeware P.S They are deleting comments so they can hide their bad business practice and take advantage of more home buyers. read more

Safety is a big priority! I love our home creations house. Our electric bill is way lower in a much bigger house than how we started! The bills are much lower, the quality in these homes are amazing and worth every single penny. I couldn't have asked for a better home and I always recommend them to people looking to buy homes. David is very kind, and wants to know you and your life and fit you into a home that's just right for you. When I came to look for a house I went and felt like the home I picked to see wasn't the one. He looked at us and said let me show you one more I think you'll love... and one year later. Home Creations is not a company of their word and refused to honor a warranty commitment after we were told they could do the warranty check-ups before or after the expiration dates. We were told the dates of the warranty visits were flexible and could occur within a reasonable time of the 60 day & 11 month visits. They were lying. After submitting to have our 11 month visit closer to the 12 month mark, home creations denied our request. Despite the fact that we did not utilize the 60 day check-up visit and having telling the customer service about specific individuals' names who told us these dates were flexible, they continued to be extremely unhelpful. I would not recommend home creations to anyone and I will never buy another home creations home. read more

They don't even deserve one star! Don't waste your money. They are the worst company to buy a house from. We have had nothing but issues with them. We closed on our house in June and are still waiting for them to come and finish our retaining wall. Our closing date was changed five times and we kept getting the runaround. We finally threatened legal action and than they all of sudden could communicate with us. The Vice President said he was going to be at our closing to make things right and of course he never showed. For as much money as we spent on our house the quality is horrible. If I could go back I would have chosen another builder. Stay away from home creations!!! read more

BEWARE!!!! If I could give this company 0 stars, I would have. We tried to buy a new construction home in the Surrey Hills area, our loan and everything checked out fine. When it came time for the appraisal, the house appraised for close to $19K LOWER than the for sale price. After looking at the appraisal report and a little more investigation, none of the homes in this neighborhood sold to even close to the selling price of this home. THEY MAKE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT STATING THAT IF THE HOME APPRAISED FOR LESS THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE, THE BUYER HAS TO MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE. Also, if you do not go through with the sale, Home Creations will keep your earnest money. They did not budge any on the selling price, 5 days before we were set to close. They refused to go down in price because homes in NW OKC and Edmond were selling at higher prices. This company obviously does not understand the simple concept of how appraisals and comparable properties work. Home Creations has even said that they are planning on raising the price of this home another few thousand if it did not get sold to us, and how it's "still a really good deal". I do not recommend. Since moving into our home at the beginning of the summer we have had nothing but issues. We have contacted Home Creations weekly about updates and about fixing all of the problems. While they "guarantee" the issues will be fixed we are very discouraged. When they have sent contractors and/or their customer care rep to address the issues- everything is half-assed, or the issue is not fixed and they do more harm than good when trying to make a repair. I just don't understand how someone can spend $230k on a home and have the electric short out in 1 room, all the crown molding peel away from the walls, the hot water lines not be connected properly, the sod die (before we moved in), the yard flood on one side of the house constantly, have multiple broken bricks/broken fence posts/missing grout/incomplete items/too many things to list them! Not to mention the house was DISGUSTING when we moved in- as someone had urinated in our guest bath tub and they DON'T send anyone to professionally clean before closing. Home Creations does not care about their quality of work and does not care about making things right. RUN as fast as you can to another builder!! read more

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. I have a 2 year old house that has been nothing but problems. Our gas fireplace exploded within 6 months of moving in and had to be fixed. Bricks are falling off the outside of our house. Almost every door hinge in the house is falling off due to short screws that are put in. Our garage has standing water after it rains. We have had to replace 4 car tires due to nails/screws in the street from other construction. Now at 2 years old our hot water heater is broken and needs to be replaced. Please save yourself a lot of grief and disappointment and find another builder. I am approaching a year of home ownership and it has been a non stop headache. I have had two leaks in my bathroom the same leak had to be fixed twice. I've had shower issues that have had to be fixed twice in the same week. Then they dug up our yard for drainage issues and took two months to fix it. They laid down the worst looking sod that appears to be dead and didn't even replace it all. I called in because they left a big strip of missing grass on the side of my house. I attempted to call the lead guy for my neighborhood but he blocked me went straight to voicemail when I used a different phone all of the sudden he picks up. This has been the most unpleasant an unprofessional experience and it is frustrating. I bought this home because I thought they were all about quality and customer service now I found out that both of those qualities were given up and replaced with cutting corners and not taking care of the customer.
