The Cupertino Daiso is much closer to me, but this particular evening, my fiancé and I were showing his sister around and she is from Florida. The closest Daiso is in Orlando, which is about 90 minutes away from her so she was very excited to see San Francisco, Japan town as well as a Daiso!! I love all the random hello Kitty and characters they have as well as the array of different Japanese snacks!! It honestly reminds me of my childhood!! I also love all their unique erasers shaped like food and cute little boxes and arts and crafts, such as origami, woodwork, and gardening items!! I will continue to check out this particular SF Daiso seasonally when I get a chance to come up to the city!!

In this teeny shop chock full of wares from slippers to bowls, brooms and scrub brushes, I found a right-sized dish drainer for $13.95. The kind salesperson asked if I wanted the red envelopes for New Year because I picked up the ones for birthdays. She scurried off and swapped mine for the correct ones. Sweet place selling useful things, one of those mom 'n' pops you like supporting.
