The teachers and administration are as about as helpful all the way around as you could ever hope for. As an added benefit, there seem to be a lot of first responders (police and fire) that have their kids go there... so it kinda helps make things feel even more secure in these crazy times.

At one point I became homeless while enrolled in some of their courses and the instructor-and faculty member- did not respond well. She tried to make me continue on w/schoolwork as if my situation were normal. This is not the first time that this school has been insensitive towards people's life situations. I even had classmates whose family members died and they were made to push on like everything is normal! They don't take into consideration what people have been through. Instead, they think that they are God or that God has given them some sort of task to break others; some who have already been beat down by life. Like I said, I had 3+ years of this and the trauma changed me spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Not to mention, I still have no degree. I have so many bad/near illegal/horror stories to tell about this place its not even funny. Also, I got the sense that the faculty here are highly racist especially in their favoritism towards certain racial groups or even lighter skinned people in those racial groups. I went from the Oakland campus (highly diverse) to small town (El Dorado HIlls) that clearly had little to no experience with minorities. All of that because they wanted a nicer area to be in? There are plenty of place that they could have chosen that were way more diverse and of course we had no say in the move. We were practically forced to move! Pro's: Fast track degree Cons: No career counseling, no networking for things like internships, faculty/staff are abusive (spiritually, mentally, emotionally), Servant of All Program (SOA) is just a way of forcing students to due labor for free, cliquish environment (students & staff), people in position of authority interfere with personal life, racism/colorism (students & staff), hypocrisy (faculty/staff), etc.

I had been doing research for my daughter's 4th birthday for months in advance and an awesome parent at her ballet class tipped me off to Princess Academy. I was hoping to find something that 1.) we hadn't already done (and with two toddlers I assumed this would be a difficult feat) 2.) Something that was somewhat low key, she's still at this phase where she isn't quite demanding things (like a dozen screaming little gal pals being present) so I want to take advantage and 3.) something special, I of course adore this chick and feel she deserves something unique and worthwhile. I looked up Princess Academy online and checked out their "menu" of services and it was exactly what I was looking for. I had heard about the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disneyland and always hoped that they would have something similar close-by (and ideally not as $$Expensive$$). This was that and SO. MUCH. MORE. I reached out and left a voicemail. I received a return call from Amanda who was incredibly sweet and enthusiastic about putting something special together for us. I immediately booked The "Royal Treatment" with Tea and Cookies -for four. Two Grandmas, myself and the birthday girl. Amanda then told me about a special photo-shoot opportunity, which I took advantage of as well. The photo shoot day was so much fun for our little girl. Amanda was so nurturing and wonderful to work with and the photos turned out great. You can't beat the price either, especially considering that they provide the attire, they do the hair and makeup! Garden fairy princess, I believe was the theme. Next up was her Royal Treatment and Tea Party surprise. I can't even describe how wonderful the entire experience was. "Princess Amanda" and "Princess Brea" were waiting at the front door when we arrived. It was a magical and empowering morning of pampering and positivity (at a fraction of the price that you would pay for anything similar anywhere else). I agreed to leave my gate open if they just let me know the day they'd be there. Then his next issue was I was going through my home warranty for the repair. At this point he said he had "zero interest" in my job. I told him that I would be paying him directly and I would deal with my warranty company to get reimbursed, I just needed an estimate from him. He still said no and then his next issue was our heater was too old, probably going to be "too much of a headache". Uh, gee of course it's older, that's probably why it broke down and needs repair. I would imagine new heaters generally don't need repair, but I guess logic and Mike the Poolman don't mix. I found another Company that came out the same day and determined it was unrepairable as the part needed wasn't available anymore. So, guess what? My warranty company authorized a brand new installation of a replacement as the old one is unrepairable. Mike just walked away from a new heater installation job that was no issue or problem for me to get approved. I'll be getting a brand new Jandy heater installed. I would recommend you keep scrolling past this guy. You'll probably be "too much of a headache" for him also, don't waste your time.
