I'd been meaning to try Arriba Grill up in Prospect for ages, but I just never made it up there…read more Then (thanks to Erin K.) I found out Arriba was coming to my old 'hood and I had to pop in. This place is tiny, there are two tables (I think) and then some benches. I love there ordering process, because it gives you a bit longer to think about what you're ordering without feeling the pressure of a cafeteria style line-up. You grab one of the menus, ponder over your choices, and then tick off the things you'd like. Hand it up to one of the gals or guys at the counter and they'll give it to you once it's ready. There are also some cute touches, like the super mario set up in the corner, but then some strange ones like the EFTPOS machine that was over in some corner rather than behind the counter. Perhaps this is just a kink they'll iron out. All in all the buritos were pretty fresh, I wasn't feeling too worried that any of the salad has been sitting around for too long, and the people were all friendly. It's a little far down Goodwood Road to be in a great location (unless you live local), but for anyone south of the city it's a better prospect than Prospect.

For lunch on Friday I ordered a burrito using Arriba Grill's online ordering form on their website…read more It's pretty easy to do and you can select all or just some of the ingredients from each category. I thought it was nice to be able to choose exactly what you want on your burrito and when you want to pick it up. The burrito was tasty and possibly the biggest burrito I have ever eaten. I'm not exaggerating, but this thing was the size of a mini pot roast. I couldn't finish it all and was still in a food coma for about 2 hours. A few comments. Maybe they could have a smaller sized burrito for about $9. At $13 and how big it was, I don't think it will become a regular lunch spot for me. I will have to try their Nachos and other items though, to see if there's something a bit lighter on. Also a few more drink options would be great, like some iced teas or something other than coke or sprite. Maybe even some Mexican beers in the future? Other than that, it was a great experience. I hope more businesses adopt the online ordering system.

Let me set the scene for you. It's 9pm New Years Eve at Glenelg...well I think enough said really…read morehey? I was famished, all of the good restaurants were closed or it was $100 per head to go in and drink/eat all you can. The golden arches were a calling but I resisted not much of a temptation and was instead drawn to the spicy green and red lights across the road. "Give me all you got and stat!" I cried. Apparently that equated to a chicken and guac burrito with mexicrinkles (yes you did not read that wrong) and a Corona for $16.95. Well what a way to ring in the new year! My freshly heated burrito wrap was packed with spicy chicken and guac and not too much lettuce, my crinkle chips (I refuse to call them mexicrinkles again) were perfectly salty and spicy and the beer topped it off nicely. The atmosphere was clean and the layout was really cute with wooden boxes filled with cacti and industrial lighting in the venue. It has beautiful big windows opening out onto Jetty Rd so you can feel like part of the nightlife without getting abused by any of it. Overall if you need a quick fix meal that is reasonably priced, very fresh and reasonably healthy, this is a great option on Jetty Rd.

I wish there were more Salsa's around Adelaide. One in the city please! This was my first time…read moreeating at Salsa's and I loved it. I had the Veggie Packed Bowl. I don't know what magic they used to make vegetables and rice taste this good! Would definitely get this one again. I also had a taste of the Baja steak burrito and this was also tasty.
