Great service! I bought a candle from Armani. They packaged it really well! Easy to find different brands and products in the store.

Sample some make-up here!!

I was invited with a group of ladies to Chanel's Beauty event called "Coco Game Center." I loved how we were greeted in the event with bottled soda pop--very classy! I had fun exploring and experimenting the different colours by myself. I just wished I had someone helping and explaining the products to me--something to consider in future launch. With the rest of Holt Renfrew, service was meeeh in the majority of the brands that we visited. Maybe they're trying a hassle-free shopping method?! I would say the most exceptional customer service we received was with Louis Vitton!! The sale associates were super friendly and patient with explaining the products--specifically, handbags. We were served sparking and still water, along with a Nadège cookie in the shape of a stiletto, which was not only super cute but also very delicious!! Parking downtown is crazy but fear not, Holt Renfrew has their own valet parking! The amount of money you're paying for valet is probably about the same amount for parking downtown so take advantage of it!!

I have a love/hate relationship with Holt Renfrew. + I love that they have well designed, refined, trendy pieces of clothing and smaller sizes for men. - I hate pricing on certain items however! For example, a hundred bucks or more on a ordinary graphic tee. Please! You know what I hate even more? Shopping for a puff jacket. At HR, there is a great selection of scaled down, slim fitted puff jackets and coats. Yes, they are more pricey than other places. But If it doesn't make me look like a Michelin Man, or worse, a Michelin Man wearing an inflated bath rope, wrap that baby up! In term of service, it's pretty generic; the usual meet and greet and allowing you to browse peacefully. Sale representatives are young, friendly, knowledgable and well trained. An awesome service I recently discovered: if Toronto HR doesn't have the size you're looking for, they'll track it down from other locations and have it transferred to Toronto location. Now, that's cool!

Spring themed!

I am by no means rich, but Holt Renfrew is too beautiful and decadent to resist. The guards at the front are lovely, and the staff will always treat you with respect even if you're dressed in rags. I had the fortunate luck to swing by in December and the store was in full holiday cheer- they had free hot chocolate, Christmas caroling, and an artist to make fashion sketches of you if you asked. Prices are steep of course, but their sales really bring in buzz and warmth to the otherwise untouchable place for the less-wealthy. I also love the tiny pop-up stores they bring in that sell macarons, donuts or tea. This location of Holt Renfrew is massive and sprawling- I can spend hours in here!

I'm in inclined to be very trusting of luxury type places. The prices alone should guarantee quality and taste, whether it be in food, clothing, furniture, anything. A deli adjacent to Holt Renfrew holds so much promise. Clean and tastefully decorated, the menu looked equally interesting. Three different kinds of spring rolls (the mushroom, in particular, looked good), freshly made soup, sandwiches and, at the very end of the line, cupcakes! But everything fell a bit short. The spring rolls were a tad stale from having been left out in the open, the soup was okay but terribly salty, the sandwich I ordered was soggy and my red velvet cupcake.. eh... it was decorated in that cream cheese icing. I know that's traditional but I've always preferred the sugar one. In conclusion, you are better off going elsewhere.

Wonderful display at the end of the entrance of the store.

Wonderful variety at store. Great high end brands for shoes and handbags. Prada, Manolo Blahnik, Burberry, and much much more. Downfall - the store was very busy and disorganized due to the amount of people that were shopping inside the store. I was not able to find handbag that I wanted or an associate to get assistance. I would definitely try this store again if I was in Canada.

Doesn't take NASA engineer to figure out there must be scratch-off code. Why doesn't HR have it? Cuz it costs HR money. Risk for customers!

Well this store is not for me. Out I go! But not before I get some info and photos for a review. I am a reviewer after all and I can't waste a store visit! The staff member was courteous and helpful. Prices are reasonable. There are so very many sneakers on display! There is even a game machine similar to those where you try to grab a plushie with a claw. She was also helpful with a question I had and helped me even though I didn't expect it to happen. Ordered a bag from TeKoop since they're one of the few stores (that I'm aware of) that sells Anello bags that has a relatively easy location to get to. This is helpful when you want to see the actual product vs having to potentially deal with the hassle of returning the item. I pass by, and sometimes visit, their store whenever I'm in the area. As for the bag, I bought an Anello Alton backpack. Quality is really good and it's new. I was worried that it could be counterfeit or could be used (I see lots of videos online about this issue). Overall I recommend this store for your bag needs. They've gaied a repeat customer for their personal touch and I'll be sure to support this local business for future bag purchases, either for me or for more gifts.

We found a highly-reviewed jeweler in a favourable location, however, it turned out to be a rather sketchy endeavour. I didn't feel comfortable giving them our business, so we jumped back on Google and found World Jewellery. World Jewellery is conveniently situated downtown, near Queen and Church. Co-owner, Floriss, and her colleague, Eddie, quickly assessed our situation with warmth and professionalism. They cleaned my ring, and we waited a short time (about 20 minutes - while kindly being offered cookies in the interim!) for the diamond-in-question to be replaced. My ring looks even better now than it did before! The fee for their service was totally reasonable, especially considering their unbelievably speedy turnaround. My fiancé and I are extremely impressed, and will happily recommend World Jewellery to others! Separated by a mere friendly walkway is the 10-year old "The Souvenir Market" and the St. Lawrence Smoke & Gift Shop (SLS&GS), an establishment that's a little more long-in-the-tooth being around since 1976. I mean, every day, "The Souvenir Market" gets to look over at SLS&GS, emblazoned with an old-timey sign and a newer addition stating they are the "First Gift Store in the Market!" Take THAT across-the-street usurpers! Who wins the war? Well, by number of customers, neither is doing too shabby. For me, and my desire for maximum eclecticism, St. Lawrence wins by a nose. But I love maple-based treats and things with poop emojis on them ... and SLS&GS has both in abundance ... so, if you're more snooty with your gifting needs, "The Souvenir Market" may be more your speed. My one purchase recommend: "Canadian Maple Crap in a Bag" for $5. It's actually some pretty awesome macaroons. It is one of many treats SLS&GS has with that sweet, silky maple syrup flavor. You'll also find all the usual suspects for tourists: T-shirts, mugs, hats, cards, toys, stuffed animals, baby clothes, gloves, socks, clocks, napkins, water bottles, shot glasses, bags, stickers, pencils, sunglasses, snow globes, tea towels, and about a million other things with "Canada" or "Toronto" or "Ontario" on them. There are two particular areas, IMHO, SLS&GS sets themselves apart from their cross-walkway rivals. SLS&GS has a stronger collection of CN Towers, as well as local sports team stuff (Raptors, Blue Jays, and Maple Leafs). And, being a Smoke Shop and all, they do have smokes. And newspapers. And Panama hats. And drinks and snacks. And just about anything else you could imagine. Tourist or local, there's something for everyone at the St. Lawrence Smoke and Gift Shop!
