There are only about 176 units (one and two bedroom) in this condominium building that is located at the Makai (mountain-side) end of Kalakaua Avenue in the Pawa'a area. It was completed in 2013 after local affordable housing advocate, Peter Savio, partnered with the developer back in 2009 during the real estate slump.
The units are basic, have a large laundry washer and dryer within the unit, offers covered parking and does not have any luxury amenities. There isn't a gourmet kitchen, but, I could live in a unit with just a hot plate if I needed to. Haha. The design of this building is sort of "green" and has strict house rules. We were interested because the building has reasonable rent, secure entry and garage access.
This location is near to hospitals, several supermarkets and many eateries at the entry of Waikiki (Pawa'a). It is also an easy walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center.
