After showing a picture of what my son wanted to a stylist at a chain salon, I was told I needed to find a barber shop to get that done. We ended up here after searching for barber shops near me on Google. The prices are just as reasonable as the previous places we went, but the time spent perfecting the details are superior. There were 2 other people getting their hair cut while we were here. Again, their stylists weren't rushed and were very detailed. It seems like they really take pride in giving you a top notch design & getting it just right. Jabar, the owner, cut and designed my son's hair. I will be bringing my 12 year old son here next. So today I decided to just walk in, after seeing E's shop ad in the Woodstock circular last night. Phil gave my kid an awesome cut and was so nice to him. He also agreed that this was a normal cut for a kid. We will be going back to see Phil. I couldn't give the place a 5 because not one of the woman there were friendly at ALL. At first I almost left by the looks I got waking in with my two kids. I didn't get a "hello" just a "do you have an appt?" When I said no, they sent me down the line to a guy who I think just shaves. He couldn't do the cut we wanted. That's when Phil jumped in. Hey E's figure out why the woman aren't happy! They seemed miserable the entire time I was there.

Worst haircut experience of my life. Requested and paid for…read morethe premium haircut. Was in the chair for close to 10 minutes. Asked for a normal taper haircut, longer on the top and gradually blended to a shorter length in sides and back. Barber didn't follow instructions at all, just popped on a clipper guard and went straight up my head with it. Completely misjudged where my hair naturally parts. Did not use scissors. Didn't trim my bangs or take any weight off the top. Just royally messed up my hair and charged me for the more expensive cut. I emailed the owner and sent pictures. He said sorry about my experience and told me to come back (I live 45 minutes away) so that another barber can "fix" it. He was pleasant, but he didn't acknowledge any wrongdoing. No refund offered. I asked what he might suggest for fixing it, because my hair is beyond the point of being tapered, and he simply said explain the style you want or come in with a reference photo. Did i not explain what i wanted the first time I can in? He made it sound like it was my fault I didn't like my cut. Would never in a million years recommend this place. Richie was my barber.

He kept claiming that we made a reservation as "first available" therefore they could switch. I am pretty confident that we specifically picked him for haircut but he kept claiming that was not what he saw in his system. Do not come to this place. It used to be really good but all good stylists, barbers left. The ratings you may see were inherited from the past. Right now the place is poorly maintained and service level is low. Better pay extra $10 and have a good service and nice hair cut. If you are on a budget GreatClips probably would do better job.
