We went to Hollywood bowl as a family for our sons party and took ten of his 8 year old friends with us. The staff at Hollywood bowl were excellent and we had our own designated member of staff to help us. She took charge of the organisation and running of our kids party to help take away the stress so we could enjoy the event. They set up the game and assisted the kids with getting the right size balls etc. They even came a took some complementary photos of our son and his friends so he has a little something to remember the event. Despite Leicester being the 10th biggest city in the UK it strangely seems to be lacking in Tenpin bowling alleys as Hollywood Bowl is one of few in the city. It is located in Meridian leisure area, which is on the outskirts of the city and easily accessible from the M1. Hollywood Bowl is part of a larger leisure complex which also houses a large cinema and a number of well known restraunts including Franky and Benny's and Burger King. Alternatively the Bowling alley has its own fast food restraunt which offers competitive prices and quality on your standard fast-food options, burgers, nachos, etc. Car parking is never a problem here even at busy times. Bowling is never the cheapest activity but Hollywood Bowl offers good value deals if you are playing multiple games or have a large party. If your work hours allow it or you are a student, coming hear at off-peak times can save you a fortune. The lanes themselves are maintained impeccably and the equipment has always functioned as it should when I have been. It can get very busy here at weekends so sometimes it is advisable to pre-book to avoid waiting. At weekends it is open until 1 am, which is great for night owls like me. The bowling alley comes with free car parking, based within the meridian leisure area, which includes a cinema, a pizza hut, frankie and bennys and various other eating places. The food within the bowling alley is less varied and is your fairly typical american fast food. The bowling alley is not cheap but is in my view the best centre in leicester. Hollywood Bowl is located next to Meridian Business Park in leicester. This Hollywood Bowl is an excellent location as it has plenty of resturants around and also a cinema. So if you finish your bowl and fancy a bite to eat afterwards theres plenty to chose from. You could even get your food inside as there is a nice takeway section and a bar. There are also plenty of arcades to keep the kids happy if you want to have a drink at the bar. The lanes are great and there have not been many technical problems when i've visited. excellent location with plenty of parking. plenty of lanes but need to book for weekends. great deal before 12 on a sunday where a child bowls free for every paying adult great for families. close to a few family food venues also. read more

Hollywood bowl at the Meridian in Leicester is proper laugh and easy to get to. We had two lanes me, lucy, Katie and anna kicked as lol!!!. £3.50 a game sorted! Going back next week to trash the rest of boys.. read more
