There is free parking in the carpark right outside and it is not far to drive into the town centre from here either. They also have a bar at the far left end of the place. Next to that is the quazar, which is a run a round laser tag game, where crystal maze once was. If you go at the weekend you cannot book, but instead queue to get a lane. Once booked in you get your super trendy bowling shoes one, and someone always gets the velcro trainers, NICE!. From here its off to the lane and time to use the oh so easy peasy name entering machine, or not! They somehow make this the challenge sometimes they work and its easy other times they dont and you have to get someone to enter names from the desk. Then there is the bumpers which are now supposed to be registered to each player. So if someone wnats them up or down they will change automatically for the specific person. Which is very clever. Prices are as steep as ever, £10.50 for two games, but if there are enough of you you can get it cheaper. So for a laugh and good fun bowling is defo the place to be at!

You can get bowl and eat deals but the food i have had using this is not exactly a meal. You get a basket of chips along with either the likes of a burger or sausages etc etc. It's a handy snack but you will find you need to eat again when you get home!

Although not my top choice, we met up with a few friends and ended up in City Limits because they decided the drink was cheap. I can now see why. The music was terrible, i had never heard of half the songs and i love my music. If it had even been cheesy music i could have coped with a few drinks, but it was just horrendous noise. The bar was over crowded and you had to wait about half hour to get served - with no sort of control over who was where first, just if you catch their attantion they may serve you. Then, the bouncers. A bunch of muscle heads who think they are important because they can control who comes in and who doesnt. I decided to leave because i just wasnt enjoying it, my OH ran out after me because i had forgotten the car keys and he shouted out to me - they told him that he wasnt allowed back in because he was too drunk? He wasnt drinking as he was on anti biotics! They didnt want to hear it, OH aske dif he could go and tell his mates they said no, so he shouted in to tell them - to which the bouncers DRAGGED him outside. OH went mad as he didnt understand why - then it just went crazy. Ended up having 4 bouncers STANDING on my OH, who is only a size 28-30 inche so not much of a threat!! They ended up breaking his arm, and when i tried to get them off they held me back for interferring!! Bouncer manager was a cocky lil * gone power mad. Obviously had no life and was taking it out on those who did! When we complained to the manager, they said they are dealing with the disciplinary procedures for them, yet nothing was heard after that - no phone calls returned nothing. Very disappointing and totally destroys their family image and fun nights out! A terrible end to the worst night out ever.

My son loves coming here, it's nice and close to the station and Tesco so we go on the train. He has a great time climbing, swinging and throwing balls around. The play equipment is not very well supervised, so you need to keep an eye on what's going on. There's a cafe which serves good meals and watery coffee which you can consume while the kids play. The toilets are good, clean and tidy.

She took charge of the organisation and running of our kids party to help take away the stress so we could enjoy the event. They set up the game and assisted the kids with getting the right size balls etc. They even came a took some complementary photos of our son and his friends so he has a little something to remember the event. They food was fine just the usual kids fast food snacks and juice. The whole event was good value for money and very enjoyable for all of us.

It is located in Meridian leisure area, which is on the outskirts of the city and easily accessible from the M1. Hollywood Bowl is part of a larger leisure complex which also houses a large cinema and a number of well known restraunts including Franky and Benny's and Burger King. Alternatively the Bowling alley has its own fast food restraunt which offers competitive prices and quality on your standard fast-food options, burgers, nachos, etc. Car parking is never a problem here even at busy times. Bowling is never the cheapest activity but Hollywood Bowl offers good value deals if you are playing multiple games or have a large party. If your work hours allow it or you are a student, coming hear at off-peak times can save you a fortune. The lanes themselves are maintained impeccably and the equipment has always functioned as it should when I have been. It can get very busy here at weekends so sometimes it is advisable to pre-book to avoid waiting. At weekends it is open until 1 am, which is great for night owls like me. There is very little I could complain about, it basically offers everything you could want in a good bowling alley.
