My children enjoy this playground but i really dont. It is the most dirty indoor play area i have ever seen. I went with my 11mth old while my daughter was at school the other day and could not believe how dirty the balls were in the ball pond, they were generally grubby and should be replaced. The playground is becoming run down and carpet is ripped in areas causing a trip hazard. The plastic (free standing) slide in the baby/toddler area was broken near the bottom of the step. The lady at reception is usually very friendly when you come in, but when you want a drink or snack you find the kitchen area with nobody there, after waiting a few mins a grumpy looking lady comes over the serve you. It makes you feel uneasy to be bothering her. The choice and quality of food is bad, there is no healthy options at all and nothing seems to be fresh. And the service is shocking, a smile is nice when you are handing over money. Another thing which shocked me when i went is that they are now refusing to warm babies bottles up with jugs of hot water (which i understand due to spilling hazard) but they are offering the use of a microwave to warm bottles up instead. It is well known that it is dangerous to warm a babies bottle up in a microwave due to uneven heating can cause babies mouth to burn even when you have checked on your wrist. This should not be promoted!! instead they could provide a bottle warmer. Sorry my review is so negative but as i said my children love playing and coming to parties here but i hate taking them for these reasons and i believe berzerk should know about my feelings to make improvments. My kids love Berzerk! I prefer it to other indoor play area's in Northampton as there is more space for the kids and the parents. I agree that it looks a little dated but the price reflects the fact that the owner would like to move to a newer building. The aparatus are safe, big and there is lots to do. The little ones are taken care of too. I see that someone else has commented that "its up to the parents to keep an eye on your own kids" !!!! - what else would you expect to do! I don't know of any other place that would charge you the reasonable fee and agree to keep an eye on your kids whilst you have a chat! you have to be relastic! The kids love it and they don't see the odd bit of dust here and there. First visit at 10:10 on 28/03/12 . and last. The equipment was basic and looking tatty. The seating area was dirty and I had to clean the seats (10 minutes after it opened). The food was average quality and the drinks were not good value. Then after an hour, I had my little sister in law (who is disabled) come over crying because she had been told off by a member of staff.
