Choosing Matt and his team was the best decision ever. Words to describe Holly Homes: dependable, reasonable, thoughtful, reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable. Several times I'd notice little things that Matt would have thought of, like moving an outlet so we could still use it. His craftsmanship was so beautiful. And he got our whole kitchen done in a reasonable amount of time! Also! I have to add, he waited to get certain things done so that we were only without our kitchen for a couple days. Outstanding. I really feel split about this company. Let me explain. The work they did was amazing. Although my kitchen remodel isn't quite complete, what Matt was able to do to transform my kitchen from an idea to a room I just love to work in to is phenomenal. I gave him a rough idea of what I was thinking and he worked magic to give me cabinets I absolutely love (blue lowers, white uppers). I have a pull-out garbage & recycling bin, a corner lazy susan, pull-outs in other cabinets, under-cabinet lighting (everyone is jealous of this!!), beautiful granite countertops. The tile backsplash is perfect ... so professional! He never flinched when I changed my mind about what I wanted. The bulk of the job was started and finished within 2 weeks. I'm still waiting for my custom pantry door (will follow up on that once installed), and a few minor odds and ends. My one and only issue with them is the lack of communication. I've been around the block a few times, and know that this is typical in the industry. I like to feel like I don't need my hand held, and that I am not expecting my contractor to reach out to me all the time. Having said that, I feel like I did have to chase after him a bit to get stuff done. Maybe it's because I didn't pursue a tighter deadline that it was easy to push my remodel back now and again. I will say however that I felt VERY comfortable with Matt and all the workers brought into my home, and that counts very large in my book. Can I recommend? Absolutely!! Will I use them again? I hope to ... I have 2 bathrooms that desperately need to be brought out of the 80's. I just hope that the scope of the project won't be too small for Holly Home Improvement to handle. And I'll be more upfront in my time line. read more

I Had new Granite Kitchen Countertops installed. My counters are beautiful. I got several bids and Holly Home Improvement definitely gave me the fairest Bid. (Some others were nearly double) and I did run it by my contractor friends as well. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. read more

Holly Home Improvement is fantastic to work with! Not only are they honest but they also take great pride in their work. I'm an anal retentive, hard to please person and these guys exceeded my expectations. I think one of the most important things besides what I've already mentioned is that they show up when they say they're going to. He showed up on time, did our (admittedly small) project on exactly the timeline he described, and he's great at communicating. As a result of catching up with work after Covid-19 I realized I need a dedicated home office. I went online and contacted Holly home improvement last night and by 2:00 today Matt was out to give me a quote. We have an unfinished basement area Matt had great suggestions to get the job done quick and efficiently so i can get back to spending time with my family. Fast, courteous, knowledgeable focused on customers needs and satisfaction. He didn't try to sell me on things I didn't need he just provided solutions and suggestions to achieve my goals. Holly Home Improvement Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel Review We chose Holly Home Improvement by a recommendation of a friend to do our home remodel project in Gold Bar WA. The project started on August 18th 2020 and was completed on September 28th 2020. The project started out fine, fortunately, we were on vacation when they started the demo. When we got back from our vacation the new cabinets were installed in the kitchen and in 2 of the bathrooms. We did not have a kitchen sink for 7-10 days, and had to wash our dishes in the downstairs bathroom sink, which of course was an inconvenience. He only gave us a couple of days to choose our finishes, (countertops, cabinets, sinks, tile, flooring) for all of the rooms, (3 baths and the kitchen). At the very beginning of our project we had told Matt that we wanted glass cabinets in two of the upper cabinets that he was putting it, and he said that was no problem. When the cabinets were installed, they were not glass and when we asked him about it, he said he was going to order them, but then never did. In the master bathroom we told him we wanted the tile in the shower to include a shelf niche. He again, said "not a problem", but then when it came down to actually doing it, (the day before the install) he said, "oh, I can't do that, and nobody does shelves in showers anymore." I was dumbfounded and didn't really know how to respond other than to say, that I have seen several tile showers with shelving. I was very disappointed in his response and feel that his whole way of doing business and his communication is very poor and unprofessional. I was very unhappy with the amount of time he worked on our project and on several occasions, he would come over by himself and work on the tile in the kitchen for 1-2 hours and leave. He overcharged us for the work he did in the kitchen stating that because of "our add-ons" the project took longer, which is somewhat understandable, however, had he actually put in a full 8-hour day each day he would have completed the job on time if not before. We had also asked for price quotes along the way to our add-ons, and he said he would get them to us, and did not. We were hit with a pretty hefty "change order" at the end of the project, which we were not expecting. He did not seem to care when we expressed our unhappiness about not having the add on quotes at the time or even prior to doing the requested work. Don't contractors give "price-quotes" to their clients prior to performing the jobs? His Facebook page states that Sky Valley residents receive a 15% discount on services, however, he did not honor that when we asked him about it and he only gave us a 10% discount, stating that had "changed." He never had a professional answer to any of our questions and seemed to just shrug his shoulders when we approached him with our questions and concerns. Overall, would I recommend Holly Homes to a friend? I would have to so NO. I believe the quality of workmanship was fine, but the lack of communication paired with the amount of daily work that was put in to our home was very disappointing. If you are considering using Holly Homes I would give it some thought and know what you are getting in to, and possibly even reconsider. read more

Matt and Jason are super friendly and trustworthy and can do all sorts of remodels- I would recommend that for any job, large or small to call up Matt- he may have a hard time doing work in Seattle however, as it is a long commute from Snohomish County and is very busy with work up there. read more
