Picking your project in advance is required so they can have all your stuff ready. The fine details like colors and stains are decided on the spot. Funny enough, 3 out of 7 of us chose the same project! It was the holiday card display board. But even when that happens, as you can see with my picture, they all turned out very different. The class was booked for three hours and we were indeed there for 3 hours. They sell alcoholic bevvies for $5 and had a great selection. They have multiple bathroom stalls there that are very clean. They have a sink in the back with special soap that takes off any paint you might get on your hands/ nails. The staining process you gotta be careful with and wear the gloves. And the sanding process please be careful. A friend got a huge splinter which was bleeding. They helped us clean it up and put a bandaid on it so she could keep creating. Employees were super helpful and easy to flag when you needed help. But they pretty much roamed around the whole time and jumped in to help workout needing to be called over. I was impressed. They took group photos for us and we left with our beautiful projects! We can't wait to come back. They have events for kids as well.

Denise was extremely patient and helped cut each little part of the fish for me. I was very excited with how both of our stepping stones turned out! This is the perfect place for a fun day learning something new! Whether it is with friends, family, or a date night! Creating stepping stones was a more detailed process than I ever imagined. I am so glad we were able to learn from a professional. I felt like Denise truly gave us the knowledge we needed to continue pursuing this hobby if we wanted. She gave us a book she wrote about how to make stepping stones! I don't usually spend this much on a date. However the price was absolutely worth it after we experienced the process! There is a lot of supplies, time, and work that goes into this class. I highly suggest giving it a try! Denise also let us know about a bunch of other classes she offers! The price and value are great. Online registration is easy. I received notifications to remind me of the class prior to the date. Upon arrival, you sign in, grab the appropriate size gloves and sit in your assigned seat. Your box with all needed supplies is provided & ready for you. Bridget is positioned at the front of the class and there are monitors on each side that displays what she is doing. She gives step by step instructions, walks around to help assist and answers any questions asked. The instructions are easy and the art comes out unique and beautiful. Fortunately for us, all we wanted was a quiet therapuetic beach getaway so that we could get our tan on. We got half the deal, but sadly it rained for a good part of our get away. So what to do when it rains? Call Down to Earth and make an appointment to spend some time with Heather. If you get a her voice-mail, she is quick to respond. Make an appointment even if it's not raining! You can build in an hour of your time to do something very worthwhile! Her pottery studio is right by Break Awayz (read my review and go there too!) It's small and parking is across the street on the beach side. I already liked her studio when I walked in and heard country tunes playing on her Bluetooth. She was very patient with my 3 girls and was attentive when each one needed help with a particular skill. Even my 4 year old was able to independently navigate the potter's wheel after Heather guided her and gave her thorough instructions. (The step by step instructions are also listed on a board if you forget. ) The girls half way finished bowls looked worthy enough of Pottery Barn dishware. They have yet to glaze them, but I know they'll turn out beautiful. Not only do we get to walk away with lovely art work, but my girls enjoyed a rainy afternoon together as well. Trust me. Spending a little time here and then heading over next door for a hearty oatmeal stout and poke nachos, will be just as therapeutic as your time laying on the beach.
