First time coming here. Wanted to shop here and grab some necessities for the Thanksgiving holiday…read morethat recently passed. Coming here was a bit of a Hassle and on top of it, the parking lot was really dark. This Walmart was a bit run down. It featured strange customers and employees. It was a generally hard store to find certain items, even using the app. Prices were a bit pricey compared to Walmart back home. Overall I would probably pass on this store.

The customer service representative said our service was slow because it was "peak season." Keep in mind that this has been going on since we moved up here. I tested my connection on my Xbox and it said that my internet was running too slow and was at 88kbps. Seriously?!?!? Does Morris Broadband know how slow that is???? I cannot get my schoolwork done, watch something on netflix, or simply relax and play a video game. It's pathetic. We tried getting them out here to check it out at our apartment, but they insisted that there wasn't much they could do because of the number of people. I grew up in a densely populated areas with no such issues back home. I WILL contact the FCC if this company does not get their act together. Horrible Internet and horrible customer service. Smoky Mountain News out of Sylva hits that perfect sweet spot of small town intensity and regional…read moredepth, the kind of paper where you flip a page and suddenly you are knee deep in annexation debates in Waynesville or a property tax cap fight in Haywood County. It is the sort of hyperlocal drama that national outlets will never touch, and that is exactly why it is so addictive. One issue had Clyde putting a moratorium on data centers, Graham County dealing with a removed sheriff appealing his ouster, and a whole spread of community voices weight in on what it all means. It seels like being handed the keys to the region's group chat! What makes it even better is how it wraps up all that civic grit in the texture of everyday mountain life. Local ads from businesses you can actually walk into, opinion columns that sound like real neighbors, and listings for shows at the local playhouse all sit side by side with the government coverage.
