I decided to spend part of my birthday here, formerly Zoomars…read more Back when I visited aaaaages ago, I remember Zoomars being half the size RSR is now, and the animals ran amok. I'll preface this by saying I'm a house rabbit owner. The old setup stressed me out with the bunnies running around being grabbed and picked up by everyone and poked and prodded by kids when they clearly were trying to hide. The new setup? I was happily surprised to hear the bunnies weren't out for the day due to the weather. They can suffer heatstroke and are sensitive to hot weather (mine are spoiled and live in 73-69° daily). So no bunnies out suffering the heat? That's so awesome! Thanks for caring RSR! I got to love on the Guinea pigs who had room to run, while someone would pick them up and place them in a bin beside me, tell me their name, approx age, and their fave veggie. I fell in love with Lola (I believe that's her name). She's a fiend for lettuce and gets the cutest green mouf. She begs for more and you can't deny her lil bug eyes. The Emu Angel has been there since I last visited (she's 38yrs old!). The goats and sheep are separated from the llamas and you can't step inside with them anymore (honestly this is probably best so kids don't get knocked out or have their clothes chewed). You can still feed and pet all of the animals! I can't complain about the price of admission or the price of feeding them. I personally know the cost of exotic vet care and it's not cheap, throw in the livestock vets and care and you're looking at a pretty penny. I guess a pro tip is to show up on a week day, somewhere around 2, and pace yourself. I spent over an hour there so it wasn't a blink and you miss it type of adventure for me.

We came here for a fun day trip with family, and it was such a great experience! We took the train…read moreso the kids could experience riding it and have some fun along the way. This place is so cute, and the train drops you off right there, which makes it super convenient! My almost 3-year-old especially loved the petting zoo. You do have to pay admission, and feeding the animals is an additional cost, but we thought it was worth it for the experience. There are also tons of cute shops to walk around and plenty of different food options. We had a great time and will probably be back again!

I thought it was a fantastic idea but with only two days to accomplish that, I didn't think it would happen. I went to my trusty Yelp app and started pulling up everything I could think of including an awesome company I used for my daughter's bday the year prior --nobody had Elvis! That company recommended I search specifically for "Elvis impersonators". Still nothing. I started searching more broadly for just "party entertainment" and finally came across, "Bear Sanchez". He messaged that he was available! I was a teensy bit nervous because on his site, there were no pictures of "Elvis" so when I called him, we had a "minute interview". I felt pretty confident after talking to him for just a couple of minutes that we had found our Elvis! OK-- This guy is talented! He knows how to work the room, ad-lib, and was VERY on top of details that I had given him about my mom-- incorporating it into his presentation. Everybody at the party enjoyed every minute. My mom, who has NEVER experienced anything like this before in her life was so embarrassed at first, but at the end of the day she was really impressed and had fun. Bonus, I got to cut a little rug with him too! I think what makes him so special is that he seems to really be enjoying what he is doing and that translates to a better performance! I would not hesitate to recommend Bear Sanchez and his company for any party entertainment needs. All correspondence from start to finish was friendly, professional and accommodating. And even though I know he had a bit of a drive, he was early, prepared and totally delivered. Thank you, Bear, for being the cherry on top of this beautiful celebration! I'm so glad we found you!

You might not realize how huge and dangerous some of these birds really are, but they average about 9 feet to 12 feet tall and from 250 to 350 pounds. And, they can be quite deadly. During the mating season, the males will instantly try to attack you if you get close. They've got about 6 to 10 different ostriches in separate fenced off areas. If you pay a few dollars for a tour, they will walk you down and show you the different ostriches they have, as well as provide some pretty interesting ostrich facts. Their feet are crazy as they are the only two toed bird on earth. Looking at them it is easy to see how they are related to dinosaurs because it looks just like a dinosaur foot. You can also buy ostrich eggs if they have them available, which are equal to about 24 to 36 eggs. The flavor and consistency is actually pretty good as well and very similar to chicken eggs. They also sell honey and a bunch of other things. Also, in certain times of year, you can go and see the baby ostrich chicks that they raise. If you're feeling adventurous, this is definitely worth a trip, especially if you have kids. This has become a fun stop we started making on our annual visit to the California Poppy Preserve in Antelope Valley. I would call ahead and see what's going on with tours and everything else. Five stars.

What initially drew me to I Do Weddings... was her team's familiarity with San Diego wedding venues, and especially with our venue, the Scripps Seaside Forum. From our first consultation with Melissa, through every call and email, we immediately felt at ease knowing she was by our side. Melissa truly made the wedding planning process so much easier. She was incredibly responsive and always had an answer to my many questions in the months leading up to the wedding. I never felt like I was bothering her or asking too much, and knowing we had someone experienced and dependable to turn to made such a difference. On the wedding day, Melissa and her assistant coordinator, Elena, made sure everything went according to plan. My husband and I felt completely stress-free that morning because we knew Melissa and her team had everything under control. We were able to simply enjoy our day and be present in the moment, which was exactly what we wanted. I would HIGHLY recommend Melissa and her team to anyone planning a wedding. We are so grateful for everything they did to make our wedding day so seamless and special!

Melissa works frequently at The Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla, and she knows this beautiful venue inside and out. Her experience there really shows in how smoothly everything comes together. I also have to mention her vendor recommendations. Everyone she brings onto her team is wonderful--professional, talented, and simply the best at what they do. As a wedding photographer, it is always such a pleasure to work alongside Melissa because I know the day will be beautifully organized and the couple will be very well taken care of. I highly recommend Melissa and I Do Weddings and Events to any couple looking for an experienced, caring, and genuinely wonderful wedding planner. She is an absolute gem!

Trevor called me in the morning of the birthday party, which was encouraging! He was very friendly on the phone and asked if I had any other questions. He had some issues with his costume when he arrived, but sadly it looked like the zipper was broken. It didn't completely impact the experience though. He started off great with a lot of energy and the kids really loved the different movements and freeze dance. Then, he needed to set up obstacle course, which was a bit strange since it took some time for him to set up. Totally understandable, but I would have suggested that he play Spider-Man music or something of that sort in the meantime. Instead he told the kids to play on the playground. The obstacle course itself wasn't as big of a hit. At that point, the energy kind of died down. It seemed like he was getting tired. 45 minutes after he arrived he said,"Cake time!" I mentioned that the cake was not ready at that point. He encouraged everyone to play at the playground instead. I definitely paid for the full hour, but did not feel like I got that. He did pose for a couple of pictures after I cut the cake, but I did feel like I got ripped off a bit. Normally I wouldn't feel that way, but the petered out energy with the obstacle course and the overall amount I paid, made me a bit disappointed. While I loved his energy in the beginning, and my son loved "meeting" Spiderman, not sure if I would recommend this company in the future.
