From the first visit (by Troy) explaining the process required to remove and replace the glass to the repair completed by Milo this morning, I could not be more pleased. Both Troy and Milo were very professional, knowledgeable and skilled. Milo did an awesome job removing both a stained glass window and the pressurized glass from the inside with a bath tub in the way. The replacement of the pressurized with a new custom sized window and the replacing of the stained glass window was without issue. Very well done. Thank you to both of these folks but especially Milo for his attention to detail and workmanship.

Bet you didn't know they did re-upholstery, did you? Neither did I until City Issue referred me to them. Apparently they do some of City Issue's mid century modern furniture re-upholstery. For starters I bought this absolutely gorgeous mid century Dux chair that was covered in this hideous stained fabric that I knew I could get redone to look more period; the price was good so I had to buy it. After I bought the chair I had an email convo with one of the designers to get a quote for my chair and ottoman. I provided her with pictures and dimensions. She gave me the quote, $350 which isn't that much considering the front and back needed to be replaced as well as the ottoman. She also asked me to come in and pick a fabric. They have loads of fabrics to choose from; all styles and all price ranges. They also will let you bring in your own fabric, which is what I did (I bought my fabric at Lewis and Sheron). They quoted me a time of when my chair would be ready. I picked it up when it was done and my jaw dropped. My chair was now pimped out and bad ass. They did a wonderful job and I am so happy that I used Nandina. That chair is now my seating pride and joy. *I will post some pictures when I get around to taking them.

Needless to say, I was quite surprised when a massive Jesus canvas arrived at my house (at least my heart was in the right place- can I get an amen). I decided the art was going to represent my COVID survival (single mom, working FT with a toddler, and in my last semester of a PhD program-can I get another amen) and began Googling/Yelping framers in the area. I assumed framing my massive Jesus would need to wait until all the cray cray went away, but to my surprise Regency Fine Art offered 'Virtual Framing' (I had no idea this was a thing). I sent the inquiry, and Lester emailed me back almost immediately. I emailed Lester a link to the art and examples of what I did NOT like (I know, you want to know what I bought, http://www.jkirkrichards.com/wstore/product/jesus-said-love-everyone/) I was surprised and pleased when Lester suggested going in a new direction and trying acrylic. He then mocked up an example using my art for approval. His next question was pricing, which I must admit I was a little scared about given the size and odd shape of the art. His quote was very reasonable and below what I was anticipating. If you are still reading this hang in there, I am almost done. When I went to drop off the art, my three-year-old was in tote, and Lester made it as quick and easy of a process as a mom whos been bored in the house and in the house bored could ask. I was there for less than five minutes. I received the invoice and details via email almost immediately. Customer service was perfection.
